Yeah its just another dodgy and shady way of ensuring the least amount of users will actually receive this compensation
bit insulting if you have an ounce of common sense if you ask me

Do we need to submit a ticket for the in game gift?  Or did it already arrive and I overlooked it?
I submitted a ticket. Did not receive anything.

    @Brigby
This issue persists. Not in the same severity to the point of locking us out from playing Hour of Revelation, but it IS cropping up in HoR after every second match's conclusion for me. No lost points or anything... yet! But this is getting hella annoying and MUST be fixed. We've been seeing this tinykitty error periodically, and sometimes with greater frequently, since bloody November!

Where are the D3 cheerleaders to tell us that we have free content, so we shouldn't be complaining?

OK if voice of reason is to be the cheerleader, then cheerleader be I.

They've announced compensation. They're also rerunning the event(read : higher max rewards this week). They've apologized. I'm not sure what else you're looking for.

Really, I'm interested to know what you think should be done.
Keyword being announced, which they did before after last update. They said after a week when they saw how the new update was they would talk with the devs on what to do for compensation. Apparently they decided on nothing which seems to be the case here again as well. They announce/claim things but do not follow through and that is the issue.

The error literally happened just before the weekend, and they don't work weekends.

Do you need to submit a ticket? I assumed you didn't need to submit a ticket as it affected everyone?

I'm interested in finding out what the compensation is.  Did anyone get anything yet? I submited a ticket and was told to wait until the event was re-run to get a compensation gift but I didn't get anything.  Now I'm thinking that we have to wait until the event is over to find out. Considering that it just ended, how long should we wait?

I wasn't taking any chances. Seeing as how it's yet to arrive, I believe I was correct in submitting a ticket.

The real mystery is why the new set has already disappeared from the vault? Hopefully, they're fixing the **** awful drop rates from it!! I'm not holding my breath, but Christ, my mate and I opened 10 premium packs for a net total of 10 compulsory rares only! NO masterpieces, NO mythics, NO non-compulsory rares. Nonsense.

At least you received a response... I've got nothing and NO response.

Hi Everyone. The fix for the following issue will be implemented today:
Some users get a "Something went wrong" message when joining or attempting to search for an opponent in any Event

Regarding the gift for everyone, I will touch base with the developers today about it

Thank you for telling us, sometimes we seem to get antsy without communication, that is when wild mass speculation happens. Please let us know when you can what it is and what we need to do to get it.

So I just reread the response I got concerning this event, and the compensation is going to be.......NOTHING

Apparently, re-running the event IS THE COMPENSATION

NOTHING is going to be given to those that were actually affected by outage.

What the message said is: "Due to the widespread nature of this issue, compensation will be given to players en-mass, and we will not be providing individual compensation for any inconvenience experienced due to the issue described. It would be unfair to credit one player without crediting all players affected by the issue."

Unless the only people allowed to participate in the re-run of the event were those that were hurt by the outage, buy "crediting" every player everywhere they are actively ignoring and marginalizing those that were actually affected. If someone gets in a car accident the insurance company pays the victim for their car, they don't distribute the value of that car amongst all of their policy holders and send them out a check for a few pennies.

what do others think about this?

I think you need to read it again.

They are not going to compensate you and only you just because you sent in a complaint letter.

It states there that compensation will come en mass. Meaning as always we'll wake up to a notice in our inbox that says "thanks for playing" which when clicked will get us our compensation.

To use your weird car analogy. If you bought a car and drove it only once before it got recalled, you're not getting more compensation just because everyone else already got more out of it than you. You get a new car and new start like everyone else, along with some compensation for the inconvenience.

I hope you're right Ohboy but I have a feeling that just letting everyone (those affected by the outage and those not) replay the event is, in d3's mind, compensation enough.

More of the response read: "Once the issue has been resolved, the affected events will be rerun for players to participate in again to receive the rewards that were missed due to the issue. Due to the widespread nat......"

It doesn't sound like the event was run again just for those affected, but for everyone. If so, it ignores the fact that many were able to enjoy the event in full the first time and others were not.

I think his worry is that the company would want him to put in the replacement part from the recall himself (the reward is the chance at the event rewards again).

My worry is that "the part" caused some people's cars to catch fire (prompting Ohboy's "recall"). Now everyone gets a new car, but the folks with the fire damage get nothing more than that.

I appreciated the opportunity to do the event again and pick up what I missed (plus doubles on the things I did manage to get the first time :)  ) but d3's solution ignores those that were locked out in the first place.  Unless, hopefully, Ohboy is right and there is going to be a gift in our mailboxes soon.

At this point I'm not holding my breath.

The *gift* was that you got to play HoR again over the weekend.
