    @hawkyh1 aside from node 3.1, i dont think they have creature kill spells in any of those decks.

    3.3 has Angel of Sanctions for straight creature destruction and Cruel Reality for creature weakening/death

    is not being stuck on 3.1 failing the whole node?

    Hi Everyone. Many of you are wondering why the Gods of Amonkhet are not Indestructible. I spoke with the developers, and here is the reasoning:
    We use "Prevent Damage" as a mechanic so that we are consistent with other cards and abilities in the game. Prevent Damage blocking Destroy effects was a bug that slipped by, but it is now fixed.

    The Amonkhet Gods were never intended to be impervious to Destroy effects - in our game it would be far too powerful to have Indestructible as a mechanic as the tools to deal with it really aren't extremely prevalent, especially with the current restricted format.Since there is no Scour from Existence in the current format, the Destroy effects in the format are rather limited.

    I'm amused they've declared this for being op, while giving its.. Aye, that's not important.

    Thank you for this clarification anyway! IMO, the gods remain very powerful, and I see no reason why I shouldn't stick with Oketra. Prevent damage is a thing.

    I was using Kefnet in 3.x nodes since it would eat the destroy and damage spells.  It was still vulnerable to the -x/-x conditions, so not overpowered at all.

    Now all I get is Trial of Ambition spam in 3.1.  Honestly, it didn't make the node harder at all, it just drags the bloody match an extra 5 minutes since I have to keep re-casting creatures instead of reinforcing them.

    Granted, I now lose the secondary objective, which I believe is now only obtainable by hexproof and creatureless.  So we're basically right back to having only a few templates per node, instead of allowing some diversity.


    Edit: Trial of Ambition spam is actually one of the other nodes, maybe 2.3.
