Combine that with all the veteran players who profess to be stepping away from the game due to burnout and I think things may ease up for a while.

Unless season 2 starts at noon with the Psylocke tourney. I suspect if that happens, I will be able to fight seed teams up to 1K points from the number of burnout quits that will occur.

Also, if season 2 does start with the Fresh Cut tourney, I'm closing the forum tab in my browser and shelving my mod hat for the day. I won't want to be here for the resulting forum backlash.

I think that battle is having an effect on the top as I've watched two people in my bracket start to make a run for top 5 and slowly start falling back as they must be high value targets for the players on the Alliances from 95-105.

I think if you're unshielded right now and worth decent points the zombie horde is on your heels. Be careful out there.

We're now in 93rd with 197K. On Monday morning we were in the mid-70's and before the final week we touched into the 60's. Everything outside the top 50 seems very fluid and very close.

97th place (as far down as I can see on the leaderboard) is in 196.6K

I'm at 1700 points in shield sim. Every fight is 3x141s and 45+ points. My other alliance mates are saying the same thing.

To give an idea of how tight competition is (to be the littlest fish in the big pond):
At 10:01 am: We were 93rd with 197K
At 11:23 am: We're 88th with 197.7K

I'm shielded in both events. Time to monitor and set up some good fights for the last 15 minutes (if needed).

we're down to 94 now, 98 is HulkUnited (fellow forumite Hairy Dave's alliance I believe) with 800 points less than us.
This season really needs to end ASAP.

2200 was 'the wall' for me during this seasons Sheild Training. Anything before that score was largely 85's with a few dotted 100+'s whereas poking my head over 2200 resulted in getting hammered and only being presented with opponents with a much stronger (multiple 115+'s) roster. I'll be interested to see if the 'wall' appears for me at the same point next season.

Generally speaking I'm pretty proud that Chaos Rising looks to have made top 40 in Alliances, especially given trouble that we'd had for much of the season with inactive players weighing us down. The future looks bright!
