As much grief as seasons has received on this board, I still had a lot of fun with it. It was interesting and made me care about PvP again.

If they do it again, they need to make some changes. More progressions, spread the events out. Maybe just have the events happen over the weekends.

It made me care up until the point that it got impossible to reach the 3* cover levels. icon_razz.gif That makes the transition and being able to reach higher levels that much harder.

I know it won't happen since it's a good source of money with Packs, Roster Spots, Shields, etc., but I really hope they slow down the events for a while after this.

Thought I saw you ahead of me by 26 at one point, now you're 200 back again? What happened?

I think the most frustrating thing has been the increasing frequency of nodes offering a certain point value and then not getting that upon completion.
It never used to happen to me before, but in the last 2 weeks or so it has increased in frequency to the level that I just expect it to happen every fight.

Anyway, I think I am done for Season 1. Hoping to hold on to a top ten in Krakadoom (if the defensive wins keep coming in, I'll move into top 5 and that would be nice) and I'm up against a never ending wall of 141 LT + Hood in Simulator now (and that combo still scares me since I don't have either of those fully covered myself). I'm at #16 in my Season bracket, 13665 points. I'd like to think that I'll stay in the top 25, but 3 hours is a long time.

Despite the dramarama and the unnecessary extension, I have had a lot of fun. I've played a lot more PvP, earned tonnes more ISO, even finished maxing out my 2nd and 3rd 3* characters. I hope that demiurge has collected a lot of feedback and really takes it on board. While I'd be interested in seeing some new format in Season 2, I'd rather hope they test stuff out in non-Season events first.

Thanks to everyone for the competition and the support (and for the points if I hit you during any event). I'm going to stop staring at the events tab on my phone since that's not going to make it end any faster. It's late night here, so I'll be asleep at the end and miss out on a lot of the congratulating, so in advance: Well done to the X-Men, S.H.I.E.L.D, 5DV, Deadpools Tacos and the Djangoliers.

I finally made my big push in the Simulator - went from ~600ish to 1750 - which was enough to lift me to 55th in my bracket (and something like 8000 behind Psykopathic icon_e_biggrin.gif ). Top 50 is within reach but I need about 300 more points to haul them in....

I hit 21000 for the season last night and thought that was a cool way to end the season. This morning, all I needed to do was a quick battle and reshield. Did a three-minute battle an was hit by another damn cheater using a hack -- gbr33, who hit me three times in four minutes using 153 Rags, 128 Hulk, and 117 Steve Rogers. Not exactly a fast-strike offensive team there. Two of those hits came through were before I could reshield, so I lost over 70 points.

This speed-kill hack really sucks. It's bad enough that the MMR is exposing players with high points to the entire universe, but now anybody can 1hko the team in seconds.
  • That's the same account that hit me 3 times in 2 minutes as well, with that same team. You hold him down I'll give him a solid wedgie. Then we can swap.

They hit me as well about 3 mins ago when I unshielded for like 3 mins.

He got me when I went to drop my final shield in Simlulator. I was unshielded for less than two minutes per the chat timer when he got me unshielded, and he then bounced off my shield a second time.

Between him and Watercat, I've lost at least 120 points to this new hack. D3 needs to fix it. If they are going to expose high-scorers to the entire universe of players with this expanded MMR, they can't let these hacked accounts screw up the PVPs.

It just sort of happened. wasn't planning on going for 21000, but we were trying to help Davecazz reach the 20000 milestone last night by giving him targets, and I realized I was only about 50 points away from 21000. It seemed like a nice, round number to set as a goal.

    C'est la vie. I'm done.
  • "Only" 13045 here, which is just inside the 26-50 tier in my bracket.

    Jeez, that's awful, sorry.
I'm cheering for you - until you overtake me, then I hate you icon_e_wink.gif

you are now authorized to hate me... as long as you don't play for 3 hours icon_cool.gif

yeah I was just hit 3 times in rapid succession by gbr33, what a waste of shields and boosts.
  • I think I'm done with Season 1. Right now, I'm ranked 1100 overall (missed a week of playing while on vacation.) Krakadoom is awful. The only matches I can get are worth low 20s, high teens in points, and I don't have the Iso-8 to keep skipping. I just want it to be over with.

If I had a bigger Alliance that had a chance at the better rewards, I probably would have enjoyed this more. But with only 5 people in it, I pretty much went into this event knowing I wasn't getting anywhere near the Top Rewards.

Congrats to everyone at the tops of their Leaderboards.

Yeah he's done that to me in a previous tourney as well...
Can't believe he hasn't been banned yet. icon_evil.gif
  • So after Kyipgate, I said that the 400-800 points above normal score was going to have huge effects on the end of the season. Quite a few disagreed but at the home stretch the top 3 of my season are separated by less than 100 points. I bet they wish they could have those easy kyip points now. icon_lol.gif

I'm inclined to let you have it - on the other hand I got a defensive victory in training for 5 points icon_e_wink.gif
  • Much more exciting than the race for the top is the race for the 95th to 100th alliance spots. As a member of the alliance currently in 99th place, it's far more back and forth and much more of a nailbiter. icon_lol.gif

That said, I suspect whatever alliance ends up in 101st place is going to have a large number of MPQ rage quits at 12:01 EST.

Combine that with all the veteran players who profess to be stepping away from the game due to burnout and I think things may ease up for a while.
