I tend to join later, so I wasn't expecting to see anything yet, but I'll ask in my alliance chat.

Edit: One of my alliance-mates got his 3* Thor covers from the Dak3n tournament already. Nobody has said anything about early S1 rewards.

Anyone else getting some with some weird numbers? This is the second time my bracket has displayed something less than the maximum (first was a PvP out of 179). An alliancemate showed a screenshot of theirs with 5000, but mine shows out of 436. Do you guys think its a glitch or is D3 purposely not filling some brackets fully?

5001 just means someone was kicked out of your bracket for cheating, the number displayed was not reduced at the time, then it increased when another player was added to fill it up again.

I guess that "slight nudging" started with the season brackets, huh?
The rest of the 4.500 players just, like, totally random, right? got nudged slightly into another bracket.

Do they actually back fill the people who are sandboxed? Like if someone is Sandboxed mid season it would be a death sentence to be added to a bracket that has already been going for weeks. Same with pve, a day behind is madness...depending on the mechanics.

I believe that was the explanation from IceIX about 5001 numbers and such. Other have brought up your question before. Now a days with sharding not such a big deal I guess for regular pvp. But that would suck for pve/seasons.

If I misunderstood please someone correct me as I'm curious about Chimaera's question as well.

There may also be a timer on it: if a cheater is caught within some time frame of the bracket filling remove and add another, else just remove the cheater?

I just got all of my Daken PVP rewards, and still nothing on the Season rewards front.

I find it amusing that nobody has started a Krakadoom event thread yet. It's like we're in collective denial that they added another Season 1 PVP.

Won for now 47 points on the rag pvp event and those counted for my placement on the reward pending. I was 47th and now im 45th place.. Wierd bug..

Nah, just that they did yet another rags one.

They even added L thor to the Recent tourny prizes, the thor/ares/loki/rags/storm one would totally make sense

Yeah. I noticed that too. The numbers are changing. I was ahead of Beee in our alliance standings when the last event ended, but he has joined Krakadoom but I haven't, so he is now ahead of me.

Im getting hit in simulator and my pending card is showing the lower number. So... whatever.

And probably PVE starting tomorrow. Which rounds out the "light PVP schedule" that is the end of season 1.

It must be really horrible for new players to enter a game and _not_ see 25 event tabs, thinking 'wow, this is active. I'll stick around and play!'
At least I assume that's the reasoning for all these events, getting new players hooked.
Because they sure aren't making regular, old-time players happy with that schedule.

Well, as an older player who doesn't need a 1st place price, and a substantial majority of the placement prizes, I prefer to be in a death bracket because at least then I won't take away covers from people who actually need them. For me, the competition definitely makes the pvp events more 'interesting'. The trouble with weighted bracketing is that the algorithms unfairly penalises people who end up in the same death bracket as me.

PVP was already becoming stale before the introduction of Seasons and for me, the seasons have been great for seeing how far I can push myself as a player. I know it's just match 3, but figuring out how to game the ever changing meta game has been one of the most fun aspects of this game. Before seasons, I rarely broke 900 - I could tank and more or less 'choose' an easy bracket, bulldoze my way through 1* teams and still take a nice 4* cover home as a trophy. In many ways I'm glad I can't do that anymore.

So fast forward 1 month, I've stopped tanking, I constantly break 1300 points and I'm playing against teams that are more 'worthy', and I'm enjoying myself more. And all that without spending a single cent in real dollars in the last month or so. So in response to bowgentle - it really is fun to hit 1100 just because I can.

edit: just for the record, I would rather they have ended s1 today rather than extending it.
