    COMMANDER UPDATE:

    With one week left in Season 1 I wanted to throw a couple things out there...

    1) Great finish in the Krakadoom Tournament. We were a man down as someone temporarily lost their internet and was unable to contribute, but we still managed to place in the top 100. Loki isn't the greatest prize, but he sure comes in handy when he's a required character for a PvP tournament or in a PvE node.

    2) There has been a lot of debate on the forums lately about alliance swapping, cherry-picking members, and how cut-throat a few select top alliances are about what they demand from their members. I want everyone to know that this is not how MarvelTeamUp will operate. Our current 20 members are our members - I will not kick any one of you out for someone who gets more points or has a 'better roster'. The only reason I would kick someone out is if they go inactive. We've already been through the wars together accomplishing great things and there isn't anyone I'd rather have in our alliance.

    3) As of this moment we are ranked 103rd in Season 1 and 1150 points behind the 100th ranked alliance. If we divided up that total, we'd each need to get 58 points. I don't care a lick about the individual prizes in Season 1. It doesn't matter if I get one or twenty heroic ten packs - it's not going to make much difference to my roster. But I promise you I will knock myself out to get as many points as I can for all of you. Even though the cover would be mostly useless, I want us all to be among the first 2000 players to receive a 4* Nick Fury cover.

    ill be hitting PVP hard till friday then i have gigs all weekend. and will not be contributing. Being a balloon artist my work week is the weekend so its hard when the event finish on the weekend.

    I will start hitting the simulator this week. Since I currently have the princely score of 49 points in there, I have tons of 40+ points matches lined up. icon_e_smile.gif

    Just curious, what's the buffer point where it starts from "1 or 2 attack" to "everybody hates you" in shield simulator for a 2* team?

    the usual line for PvP event is around 600 points, but since shield sim has bigger overall point, I want to know where's the "safe point" zone to wait until the last hours.

    Also, which is the better scarecrow for opponent? Thor/Daken/OBW or Thor/Daken/cStorm?

    I sit at 1500 with very few attacks with lcap, obw, ares. I'd go with obw for d. I hate fighting her. Mstorm is so easy to take out when you can target her, and she's good mostly in desert - which you don't control on d either.

    Yeah, I'm with Pylos. Thor/OBW/Daken.

    I'm sitting at 1700 points and have yet to be attacked, but that's with a three star team.

    Actually, its cStorm, not mStorm. You know, the one that will always give damage to your entire party with passive yellow, making them use healing packs more often.

    I just wanted to say two things:
    1) You guys are awesome. My enjoyment of this game has increased 3x since joining this alliance. I find myself motivated to play in order to keep from letting you guys down.
    2) Holy **** what a difference going from 2 to 3 blue on OBW makes. Having heals be two AP cheaper is so massive. (in-game chat gave me to idea to buy the cover I needed rather than waiting and waiting and waiting...)

    Hi I just want to know how's you guys score on season1 event ?
    Because I wish to find a team that has a chance getting that fury cover
    to join ! I hope my 8k+ point could do some good for you team on season1....

    Sorry I've dropped off the map a bit in the last couple days... We are currently evacuated from our home due to the San Marcos fires. I'm trying to at least get a couple of matches in a day to keep the team bonus going.

    See, this is why I love our alliance. Not because I need the 10 ISO from KKilz, but because he's the type of person who is thinking about us despite all the trials he's going through.

    Don't worry about us, man. Worry about friends, family, etc. MPQ will still be here when things return to normal. We're all just sitting around waiting for Daken covers, anyway.

    Things are a little crazy right now, in a very negative way. Personally, I'm negative about...

    1) The Spidey Nerf - he was hit waaay too hard.

    2) Serious Fatigue - Season II starting immediately after Season I really disappoints me as I felt the inclusions of seasons have really affected this game poorly. One Nick Fury cover is not worth the month-long grind.

    3) PvE scaling - it's ridiculous and not fun.

    4) Constant flow of new characters - this is just mudding the waters and making it more difficult to obtain the covers you actually want unless you outright buy them.

    Basically, I'm burnt out and need to take a step back. I sense a lot you are too. So from now on I am considering MarvelTeamUp a purely casual alliance. Whatever we get, we get. If nothing else, we'll all get a little extra ISO and HP from time to time. But I'm not going to knock myself out for one lousy cover of a new unusable character, and I don't expect any of you to do so either.

    Every new addition or change to this game is a blatant cash grab. It's now to the point that you cannot compete without spending real money, even you have every single character maxed out. I've considered quitting, but I know I'm just feeling the grind right now. I do like this game. I love Marvel characters. And I love our alliance.

    So in closing - do not put pressure on yourself to perform for our alliance. That's not what I want. I want to have fun and I want you to have fun. And if you are a member of this alliance who DOES want to be ultra-competitive, I completely understand and no one will begrudge you for seeking out a different alliance.

    This is exactly what I need. It's clear to me that the grind from Season I negatively affected my real life. The flexibility to skip or barely participate in events is a big deal to me.

    Having said that, I think it's reasonable if we target specific events when everybody needs a cover.
