Hi, I'm new to the forum but have been playing for a while and am looking for an alliance to join. I'm a daily player and my wife says I'm addicted. I've got 58003 points in the Hunt but haven't started on the 2 most recent rounds yet. I've got a 141 Black Widow and 3 2*s at 85. I'm also working to build up more 3*s. I'd like to join your group if you'll have me. Thanks!

WOW, that was intense. What a way to end our first week as a full 20 member alliance. Top 10's for the last two The Hunt locations. Plus, we finished 75th overall for The Hunt and we squeaked out a Top 100 in Doctor's Orders (PVP) with 18 of 20 over 300 points and 100% participation. That's teamwork!

It's not a if deal, but it noticed I wasn't given any points for The Savage Land on the list. I don't remember how many I had, but I think I was a top 50 finisher (it got a little crazy at the end). If you add up the individual scores, it's about 9,000 short of the team total.

Im not really worried about it, but I am new to the team and since we are going to do rankings, I don't want it to look like I'm not going to pull my weight.

Wow, I've only been on the team for 2 days and the peer pressure has already gotten to me.

Haha, good catch. Sorry about that. I had your score captured, but it somehow slipped through. It's been corrected.

Alright guys, this is it. MTU's first alliance ranking. The ranking is based on the lowest average score for all events except LR's. Your finish in the final rankings for each event is your score. Ties are averaged, so for example if 3 members skipped an event, they would all receive a 19. My plan will be to post an update whenever a multi-event PVE has completed. At the moment, I'm leaning towards resetting the ranking when a Season ends. That way, even if your rank feels hopeless, we will all start back at zero every 30 days or so.

I don't think you're a slacker, your score indicates otherwise - you're contributing. You are in the 1*-2* transition, working on maxing a 2* team and have been doing so without a healer. I don't expect you to start winning any tournaments; in fact, top 20-50 is probably a challenge. (But you will find that having OBW changes your game, because you won't have to stop playing and let your healing regenerate.)

Keep in mind that I didn't make this alliance so that you could help me. Take last weekend's Doom tournament, for example. I have a maxed-out 3* Magneto, so I wasn't trying to get top 10 to gain his covers. I actually need more Moonstone black covers, which was the 2* prize. If it wasn't for the existence of our alliance I would have aimed for 50th - 100th place. But my intention in making MarvelTeamUp was so that I could help you.

My hope isn't that we're the #1 winning alliance in a tournament, my hope is that we're in the top 100 alliances so that you get 3* covers and ISO to help you make that 3* transition easier when the time comes. I have been playing this game since it came out and I have a roster that allows me to finish top 10 pretty easily in most tournaments, and now I'm motivated to do so for our alliance. You're not a slacker because you can't do the same, yet.

I'm working for you, not the other way around.

Hi all, i write here because my currently alliance lose a lot of last PVP/Event reward (3rd skill)!!!
(some player didnt take ally reward or dont play... probably in 1 week become an inactive... and i dont want watch it).

I play MPQ on Steam (so... no cheat for me ).

Have over 770 hour experience in game (like: it's over nine thousaaannnddd!!!)
Last Event (The Hunt: was top 3) (in daily mini-event top 5-10).
Generally in PVP top 25-50 (that's because every time finish at 6 a.m.... not fair!!!) sometime (with a lot of lucky, or different end time) top 10.

Top Gun: currently position 90 (no yet played today, 400 points)
Season 1 (for Nick Fury): currently position 310 (no yet played today, 1962 points)

(now without event, i can focus only on Season 1... untill new event )

Despite a bad start with my roster... with a "magical" and tactical manouvre, i sold a lot of 3-star hero (Magneto, Doc. Doom, Ragnarok, BW grey and Iron Man mk 40) only because i dont have HP to use for other new slot... with stupid idea to keep hero 1/2-star lvl max (40/50-85), hero never use, like Yelena Belova, Bullseye, Spider-Man Bag-Man, Cap. America (2-star), instead a good hero (and usefull for event/pvp) 3-star.

But now!!! after a lot of good game and good position top 10 (event) or 50 (pvp) i have ALL heroes!!! (miss only 1: 4-star Wolverine X-Force.... but no problem!!! thx daily reward in 9 day i take my 149° reward: Wolverine X-Force DD)

Roster: 38 Hero Slot (all)!!!
All 3-star Hero (3 over lvl 100 (Punisher lvl 141!!!), other 3-star between lvl 40-80)
All 1/2-star (all base lvl (only BW original, Thor, Wolverine, Storm Modern, and Dake is maxed))


I'm a F2P player... so for me its just awesome!!!

Dormammu, I want to say how impressed I've been with your leadership. From making slots freely available, to the way you handled the question about tanking, to the above quoted post, you've been consistently generous.

I also want to say that, at least in my case, it's working. Being a part of the alliance has already made a big difference for my roster. I've pulled several much needed covers with all of the extra tokens, gained additional ISO to level my roster, and collected enough HP to add slots for new characters. It's a noticeable acceleration of my roster's development.

Being far back in the rankings, I understand Quondem's sentiment. But it's clear to me that the accelerated development will help our contributions to catch up over the long term.

So Quondam, keep thinking positively! I can feel the impact, and the gap is closing.

I second dijidiji's sentiment. While my roster is nowhere near ideal, in the last week alone it has significantly improved and I have acquired some key covers necessary for advancement. Now we all have at least one falcon cover which will most likely be needed for the next PVE event.

Strategy Tip: Lightning Rounds

Lightning rounds are really useful to players of all levels. Even if your roster is in the 1* to 2* phase and you can't compete for the top prizes, I encourage you to use the lightning rounds to your advantage. The first three progression prizes are your goal and you only need a total of 100 points to get them - four to five wins.

Progression Rewards:
25 pnts - 140 Iso
50 pnts - Recruit Token
100 pnts - 250 Iso

So, if you're not skipping and get 100-170 iso per win you're gaining about 1000 - 1100 Iso and a standard recruit token for 4-5 fights. And the nice thing is that they run every two hours! Once you get 100 points, you can tank the rest of the round (see my post on page 1 of this thread to better understand tanking). To do this, you need to get in right at the beginning and pull up some seed teams into your nodes. Let me take you through it step by step:

1) Be waiting when the lightning round starts. They start every two hours and always right on the hour. Sit there and watch the timer countdown.

2) As soon as the timer stops, jump into the event and quickly look at all three of your nodes.

3) Determine which nodes contain seed teams. They are generally weak 1* teams. If you're unsure, tap on the players name and see if a roster comes up. If no roster comes up, it's a seed team. Seed teams are bot teams and can't retaliate.

4) Leave the node with the seed team alone, don't fight it. Use the other two nodes to gain your 100 points and the first three progression prizes.

5) Once you have the progression prizes, it's time to tank. You've saved the seed team node for this purpose. Put together the weakest team you can that is still able to defeat the seed team and defeat it.

6) Don't do anything else and let the losses on defense pile up. You don't care, you've gotten what you want out of the lightning round. The losses will lower your MMR (your hidden PvP rating) so that your opponents in future PvP tournaments are much easier.
