    I wanted to take a moment to document our rules and thoughts here for everyone. We have discussed this at various times on Line, and most of it is in our recruiting posts, but it has been quite a while since we have written them in permanent form for those that might have missed the discussions on Line. Here we go, the rules of the Dormammu brand alliances:

    1) I'm going to list the score requirements for each alliance as we had them before the shield cooldown. We are still figuring out the effect of the cooldown, and may have to adjust our target scores accordingly. I don't believe we will have to change the minimums, as those score ranges don't appear to be affected as of yet.

    1a) Dormammu U - Pre-Shield nerf PvP goal is about 900+ points in PvP (Alliance minimum is 600 points as our tripwire, more about that below in item 3.) Season goal should be 10,000+ points. These numbers are pretty much averages, and if you are in Dormammu U and don't meet this, know we have placed you there with that knowledge, don't sweat it.

    1b) Latveria State - Pre-Shield nerf PvP goal is about 700-800 points in PvP (Alliance minimum is 500 points as our tripwire, again, more below.) Season goal should be 8000+ points. Some of you blow this out of the water, and might wonder why you haven't been moved up to Dormammu U. Simply put, we care about both alliances, and if Dormammu U took all the high scorers away from Latveria, Dormammu might occasionally break top 10, but Latveria would never make top 100. For those high scorers, you do very important work and bring extra covers to another 20 alliance members. Keep the faith!

    2) PvE is totally optional. As it stands now, the amount of work required in a 7-10 day PvE to achieve the same rewards as a 2.5 day PvP is extremely unbalanced, and leads to burnout. For more veteran players, this is exacerbated by extreme scaling, and frankly, isn’t worth it. For significant events, we will attempt to consolidate the top players that still wish to grind as long as it does not interfere with the end of a PvP event.

    3) If you are going to fail to meet either of the above requirements due to "real life" issues, you must notify a commander ahead of time. If you fail to do so 2 times within a season, we will start looking for a replacement for you. If you inform us ahead of time, no harm, no foul as we can then plan to ensure all alliance members can still obtain the alliance cover rewards. Communication is the key! Your commanders put a lot of behind the scenes time and effort into maintaining both alliances running smoothly. We understand this is just a game, all we are asking for is the courtesy of a heads-up when you know something will prevent you from meeting the minimum. We also understand that sometimes events happen beyond your control. In these cases, communicate as soon as you can so we can understand the challenges you are facing. We have to think about what is best for the entire alliance without breaking the faith with each of you, and this isn't always the easiest thing to do.

    4) You MUST communicate with our consortium (Dormammu U & Latveria State) utilizing the Line App. This will allow you to fluidly communicate with members of both alliances allowing for the quick dissemination of arcane knowledge. We have multiple members that have been playing this game since the first month it was out, well before the daily rewards were implemented. We have been though the transitions, and are ready to help you through them as well. If you are using Line on a mobile device, take a look at the 'Notes' section for each of our chat rooms, you will find some guides written to help everyone there, from a staggeringly comprehensive PvE strategy guide to the basics of efficient tanking. If it isn't covered there, always ask in the room, someone will be able to offer you valuable advice born from experience.

    6) No drama, no jerks, we are looking for friendly people that enjoy the game and would enjoy being a part of a successful alliance. Our alliances are founded on long lasting players that are loyal to the alliance. We don't like using mercs unless we are already down a member. As I write this, we are on Season 10. There are 13 members that have been with us since Season 2 when we just had one alliance. We have one of the lowest turnover rates in the top 25 alliances, and we want to keep it that way. Given the choice between getting a person that scores 1100 points that will duck out after one season, or someone that scores 800-900 points that sticks around, we will take the 800-900 every time and watch with pride as his/her roster grows, and so does his score.

    7) Events between seasons have no minimums, we use this time to allow players to take a break, relax, and perhaps even remember there ARE other things than this game out there. When the next season starts, all requirements are back in effect.

    For some of our newer members that haven't read the whole thread, here's a brief introduction to the Commander structure. PorkBelly is the founder of the alliance, and is what we would consider our supreme commander. Myself and EntrailBucket were brought onboard in the initial flurry of building the alliance, and the three of us used our HP to expand to 20 slots when it still was costly to expand. We are the original commanders, and act as a triad for decisions affecting the alliances. Mags1587 and Faven are the commanders in Latveria State. Both have full commander power, but generally defer to the triad for guidance and use their powers to administer the alliance. We have a third alliance, Ultron Tech, that we use for semi-retired members or those that need a break until they can once again meet the minimum scores regularly. We also have some of the children of alliance members in Ultron Tech, which allows them to gain the alliance bonuses. Ads_2013 and my alternate account are currently commanders in Ultron. Our fourth alliance Osborn Academy, a shell alliance we can use to consolidate our top PvE players for specific events. Andy9009's alternate account is the commander of Osborn.
