    There absolutely was no planning involved. I know you may doubt that, but it's true.

    We actually discussed taking the PVE easy and mainly wanted to ensure we got the blue Steve Rogers for being in the top-100. Then, with about two hours to go, we realized we were competitive for the top in deadly mode, so we figured we might as well grind that a bit. It was a total shock when we saw that we were near the top of the other event.

    I think most of us have been doing a few clears every day. We did have some players who were in MMR hell, so they couldn't really get that involved in deadly and another of our players is busy with RL stuff, so he only did a little today. But I think most alliances had similar issues or we wouldn't have gotten so lucky.

    I'm soooo glad I busted my balls to get top ranked in the last heroic round and PvP event to max out my Lazy Cap... just so I could get up at 7am (2hrs after going back to sleep) just to find the same rewards repeated this round.

    So glad. And hey, these ones finish at a reasonable time for Europe, so I didn't even have to get up at 4am and play MPQ for an hour.

    Strange last few hours, the whole weekend was based on play as little as possible but keep in touch for top 50 - 100. I thought bad is good was sealed but was surprised we were a goer for hard mode. Then when easy mode was a goer I was in disbelieve. I ended up with 1000 extra HP I was not expecting. 5deadlyvenoms did their last minute push and made us push that little bit harder. I have to give them my fullest respect for that, they make me nervous near end of events.

    What is the difference between:

    A) joining a bracket now and only using rubberbanding to play 15 and 2 hours before it ends
    and
    B) Joining a bracket with 2-3 hours before end

    I suppose A gives you a better chance at some progression rewards?

    A) also gives you some room for error. This heroic deadly mode could wipe out your team.

    I did both methods, A in the Normal bracket, and B in the Hard mode (though it was actually around 10 hours before the end). In normal, I ended up in the top 200 as a busy weekend with friends meant I missed a few refreshes and didn't recover. Using method B, I snagged an easy top 20 in Hard and got both LazyCap covers. I did score more progression rewards using method A though.

    Edit: Why, why, why are D3 not rotating the cover rewards? It's ridiculous to still only be offering the blue LazyCap cover as an alliance bonus. I'll be at 3/5/1 by the time the Heroic ends as my alliance isn't big enough to finish in the top 100 for the blue cover.

    Between this and the DA tourney, I've got my LazyCap up to 2/5/1. I had thought about pushing for that final yellow in the do-over, but, given the end time, it will probably be literally impossible - I won't be able to play at all for the last four hours, and not much for about the last 14. So Ill be playing this one really casual.

    Well hooray for rubber banding. I was 15th with 90 minutes to go when I logged off for bed. I woke up to a top 200 reward of Hawkeye. With the second event ending at noon local time, I guess there's pretty much no way I'll complete for anything decent.

    Due to real life my Steve Rogers is the mirror of everyone elses. 2 yellow, 1 red and 4 blue.

    It seems the alliance carries me in PvE's

    im going to have a 5-5-1 steve rogers just cause my allinance doesnt get anywhere near 100 and i would rather have a 3-5-5 build...oh well maybe ill get really lucky with packs and somehow get 4 blues icon_neutral.gif

    ditto. ian extenddd vreak will be nice. im shhiting to clear each mission one time
    for the first time completion bonus and to contribute something to my alliance. when i need my "fix" ill just play rounds of the first avenger re run...no need for hulk covers though, so just a pure iso grab.

    I'm really disappointed with myself for letting myself get so excited for those Lazy Thor covers. I knew it was subject to change, but I was actually looking forward to getting a few more of them. Oh well. *sigh*

    I let you have #1 there too Ben icon_razz.gif Figured my captain would be 3/6/5 (yes extra red) without really pushing too hard so I'd pile on some HP.

    Now what do I do with the next 6 captain covers. . . sheesh (what happened to Lazy Thor as a 2nd-half reward. Guess devs decided to just repeat rewards too)

    I thought Patch was given out like candy 2 weeks after the initial event but maybe my memory was rusty. I do remember selling like 15 patch covers from the time he was a sub-even reward with multiple covers in each.

    This was pretty fast for captain - could realistically get a 2nd one almost full if we cared to try icon_razz.gif

    Oh the fun that was thick as thieves. Everyone bracketed together in main, week long nodes and crazy scaling. Subs allowed me to max patch and his bug where he placed 12 friendly strike tiles was fun but other then that worse PVP ever.

    I debated for half a second building a second Steve Rogers and then I punched myself and sold off the extra covers. Going to take this PVE easy since I don't need Cap anymore.
