You know if you would rather have the OBW, and you could argue it would help your roster more, you could just throw some characters in and lose until you hit the covers you want. I did that to finish off my wolverine when i was around your level. Its a toss up really. Eventually hulk will help you, but OBW can make the transition a lot easier.

Rock, you were mentioning how hulk makes for a good defender. Do you think having him at 5/1/1 would be good enough to use him? He seems to have a boatload of health.

Also, I agree very much with xormar on OBW. I purposely finished in the last pave event to get three covers and it made fearless defenders much easier. When you are lucky you can starve the enemy while healing up.

Agree with everyone in OBW. She's ridiculously good, feed and heals everyone. Max her ASAP. I have the exact same score as killerrabbit, but am sitting in 10th. Think I might have jumped the gun with my push as I really want the 2nd hulk cover. May have to unshield toward the end an try to steal some more points.

Noone will fear a hulk with just 1 in black. Its black that makes him tbh. Without it, he is just a punching bag.
With it, screw up and you might be dead or close to it.

The scores look very nice for fearless defender. Try to check your score as close to the finish as possible then post them here.
That way we can add upp the forumites, check against our guild points and more easily see if the ppl in the not safe zone are helping or not.

He dont work all that well with thor though. Or a wolvie for that matter. but of the 2 of them i would pair him with wolve.

No i mean getting the iso for finishing in the spot that earns him.

I'm sitting with 410 pts right now. We should easily get the black cover. I agree with getting the OBW cover as well. Shouldn't bump us out of top 50.

I agree with Xormar. I would try to just use the influx of HP you will get an buy a roster slot. The covers dont expire for 7 days, there will be some other events that close that you can get hero points from. Also there are a lot of nodes in the campaign you can grind out. Early its best to just htrow hero points at your roster until its a decent size. Mine feels small even now at 25.

Holding onto your 3* is definitely the best long game strategy. You just don't know who will be the first to be usable first. I'm waiting for that golden opprtunity to push any one of my 3* to 9 covers. I had a shot at a 7th hood cover last night but climbed too fast too early. Ended up with a Loki cover unfortunately.

Its always hard to make the call. Sometimes you make it. Other times you come out from a fight and have lost 100 points.
And for some reason i always seem to get hit right when im getting close to a reward...

From what ive read, the way shields work as follows:

1) When you lose you Lose any ranking points.

2) You will stop being populated on anyone elses GENERATED matches.

3) You will still be on people "attack list" if it was previously generated, and anyone who can retaliate (again you wont lose points, they can just attack you). It is NOT limited to just the 3 nodes available to attack. There is a deeper list that is pre generated.

This also means that you wont be on the top of someones list right when your shield drops. This is why you are not often attack the moment it drops, rather 15 mins or so after once your back in peoples queue.

First i would like to say im sorry to Doesitgoboom. Totally blows mate. I was looking for you right up till the end but didnt see you. Hope you will stick around for lots more covers in the future. Atleast you didnt need him right away. Small comfort i know...

Now, the more happy news. We broke 9000 and ended up at 9170! Surrounded by lots of 20 guilds. Pewpew and a job well done to all.

I made 10th with 718. I'll check with petme tomorrow. He's taking his mom and kid to the national zoo today. I'm pretty happy with the result. Hulk should now be my most advanced 3* even if he is a paper tiger until I get more black covers. If the pve event follow a cycle i think we are due for a hulk event too.
