  • Can I post without Mod Approval now? ...
posted something last night about maybe joining. (I guess it's still pending on Mod Approval)
been on Hiatus for a bit. I started reading Iron Man from the beginning...and its either play or read on my phone. I've been gone since right after alliances were introduced so it's been a while. I'm planning to be active again but I want a relaxed active alliance that can rank. And reading through your thread, I'd kinda like to join. <:3
UN TeenyRex. I'm at work right now so I can't really go detail specific on my Roster, but I applied to the Alliance this morning.
  • Thanks again Awood icon_e_smile.gif the Signature is awesome!!

Off to see GotG now, I've been looking forward to this all week so i hope it is as good as people are saying it is.

We finished 47th in Unholy Outlaw. This was a crazy competition for scores so well done everyone on getting such a good finish.

Category-5 is offering Deadpool covers so it's bound to be another really tough event.

Hotfuzz84 has joined XStatIIX which brings us up to a nice round 20. This is going to mean that when people are moving between alliances there may be times when they need to wait for someone to move before they can apply so hopefully we can get any changes done in a timely manner. The first person to suggest an XStatIIIX gets

I'd like to take a moment to commemorate my best-shield-ever that was deployed ~11 minutes from the end of Unholy Outlaw. Absorbed a total of 18 attacks, 6 of them being retal wins that pushed my score up 88 points! Most fun I've had not playing the game icon_e_biggrin.gif

Epic Shielding needs to be added to Epic Push™.

The shield was like, don't worry brah, I gots this! And this! And this!
Oh and you want points, have some points. You want the 900 point reward? Sure, let me get you some more retal wins. Who plays their last game with a magstorm? No wonder I'm working so hard. But don't worry, instead of only cascades of doom, I'm now infused with the power of random team ups.

    Thanks EPIC SHIELD!

    Lol, nice noob.

In other news I'm so far behind in movies I just now saw amazing spider man 2 on the airplane. Never even saw the first :p. First marvel movie I've seen since avengers I think. If it's not on netflix I probably haven't seen it icon_e_smile.gif
  • Hi Limee, sorry I did not get back to you in time I could not for some reason reply to you so am having to do it this way. Looks like you have a full rosta of good solid players for XStatIIX now. Your group looks a fair and good one to be in. My in game moniker is Tetrakm. I will continue to look but would be interested if there is ever some movement between groups. Cheers. PM

Mate, check out what is now the original post in this thread.
I am UK based and I agree that the game should be played for fun. I do sometimes end up playing more than is good for my health though. I am happy to purchase another slot for the alliance when we need one.

I have finished up with 248K in the simulator and it looks like we are currently 244th so hopefully we end up with enough for the blue Cap.

Go see Winter Soldier when it comes out over there.

Such a good film, out on blu-ray over here in less than 2 weeks now. icon_e_biggrin.gif They have a very mixed reaction, but I also enjoyed Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World. Days of Future Past was good, Guardians of the Galaxy is really good and I can't wait for Age of Ultron. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has now shifted from same release date as Captain America 3 to March 2016.

Amazing Spider-man 2 was my biggest disappointment of the year so far film wise.

I tried to watch the first Amazing Spider-Man several times over a weekend last year. I never did finish watching it, so I haven't bothered with the second one. Maybe I'm just not cut out for Web-Head movies. I wasn't that big of a fan of the first trilogy either (yes, that includes the second one). It's kind of weird. I like the character and the villains, don't mind reading the comics, liked watching the animated TV shows and I'm a pretty easy-going movie watcher as it is. The movies just never really struck me.

I liked the first ones with tobey maguire, but yeah this one was not very good. Editing seemed pretty bad for some of the fight/action scenes. Just really choppy. Maybe part of the problem was seeing it on a tiny little screen. It's funny cause when I first looked to see what was playing I thought they were showing cap:the winter soldier and I got pretty excited then saw that was for July icon_evil.gif . Oh well, I'll get around to seeing it one of these days.

No one's around to chat with my drunken self so I guess I'll head to bed icon_e_sad.gif. Good job on the latest pvp! Pretty close to top 50. We seem to be stepping up our game lately. Awesome job everyone!

We finished 54th in Category-5, just a few points short of a top 50 place so good job everyone.

The last event shield was not quite as epic, only absorbed 3 attacks but 2 were retaliation wins so a better percentage though.
I ended up 41 points short of 900 ... which an epic shield would have got. I think this could actually work. During the last shield at the end, say 15 mins or so, put in a seemingly pansy team like magstorm and then profit. I'll have to experiment.

Storm event didn't have tons of defensive wins, but with the swingyness of tea ups and her yellow power it makes me wonder if she would be a good defensive character just to get a few random wins from out of nowhere. I dunno, maybe you win those type of matches with someone "better" anyway

Ouch... This was prolly my fault. I was at the beach and got drunk and passed out. My shield ran out and I lost over 300 pts. I will accept whatever punishment you deem fitting... icon_lol.gif
