I'll definitely have to give that a try then. I've got to admit...I've unintentionally ignored DDQ in favor of ranking higher in PVE, so I'll try giving that some more attention in the future.
The right way to play if you have an addiction is to ignore sleep and play both DDQ and PVE. You get used to less sleep after the addiction sets in and gets stronger! icon_e_biggrin.gificon_e_biggrin.gif

I did that last night. I sat on my bed and did a full entire clear (at least with the characters I had) of the latest PVE event, going from 0 to 15,000 in one sitting, then finished as much of DDQ as I could afterwards. icon_e_confused.gif

    Just in case...

Some of us on this forum are psychologists specialising in addictive and psychotic behaviour...just saying *wink*

Some of us also have experience recovering from addictions and can be of service... icon_e_wink.gif

Addictions are fun. Why get rid of it. Keeps you forused on the only thing that matters MPQ!
(Not even coing to correct my spelling anymore. Too busy thinking about mpq.)

The new Civil War event that's coming out soon is exciting, but it also saddens me at the same time, because I vowed to stayed impartial and not join any Alliances. icon_e_sad.gif

Just join a random public alliance that doesn't know who you are. You can experience the event and not let anyone be influenced by your presence. icon_e_biggrin.gif

    This.

It should work just fine unless you named yourself Brigby MPQ Community Manager in game...that might be problematic icon_razz.gif

Don't want to miss out on that sweet sweet daily alliance ISO bonus either.

Or get all the devs and people who play at d3 to form an alliance.
And then keep us informed of your progress icon_e_smile.gif

Yeah seriously I would recommend joining an alliance. The 2k ISO a day is huge and you want to be able to play team events they are some of the most fun. Just join some public alliance with people that play daily.

Gonna be honest, you're going to find it difficult to experience the game the way the community does and then advocate for them if you deliberately shut yourself off from a fairly significant part of the game.

Some of the loudest complaints in recent months have resulted from alliance events that had...issues.

Join an alliance. If your experience of MPQ is meant to inform your advocacy with the devs, that is going to be a critical, critical part of that.

Do some alliance hopping beforehand. Check the alliance pvp and pve rank, you want to find somewhere moderately active, maybe t250 on either pvp or pve, and be ready to join right away when it starts. That should let you get full rewards on at least one side for Civil War.

Brigby - I doubt anyone will object to you taking part in the alliance side of this game. If you're worried about avoiding favoritism, maybe don't stay in one place for more than a week or two?

You should definitely try visiting a variety of groups - something simple with 'daily' in the name, something in multi-alliance group, and plenty of random places set to public that are mostly full of people who have played lately.

Brigby's Alliance of the month, I like it! I agree with the others here. Do join an alliance for the event. And hop around after that. It will give you a better first hand impression of events, and you'll probably meet some fun people along the way. You're missing out on something doing MPQ without the alliance aspect.

Ice was in Django the whole time he played (well except for a brief spell where we kicked him...) and it certainly didn't make him less impartial.

Instead it gave him insight into what it takes to play MPQ on the highest level for both PVP and PVE and that in turn made him push for some changes.

Jump into the alliance basin, I promise it's not ONLY sharks and whales.

I'm awaiting the days that you will have moved into the 3-4* transition. Where you roster is right now, there's a lot of elements of the game that you haven't experienced, or don't experience as regularly as some of us do. You don't really have a "waste rate" quite yet, or have had to save up significant amounts of ISO to champ 3s or 4s. Don't take that the wrong way, just looking forward to you being able to see things a little more clearly from our perspective on certain issues. Good luck!

Turns out there are a bunch of people here at D3 that already formed their own Alliance (Private, of course icon_e_wink.gif).
I definitely agree that it would give valuable insight into what it takes to play MPQ on the highest level, so I am happy to announce I am officially in an Alliance! icon_e_smile.gif

Alliances are great. The chat function is... well, you can see for yourself now.
