Wow, 31 slots already! Rob a bank?
I play a lot of the Story events in SCL4. icon_lol.gif So far I've consistently been able to hit top 50, and get a decent amount of HP each time

Brigby, if you need roster space, your 1* Venom wont be missed icon_e_smile.gif

Duly noted! What about 1* Juggernaut? I keep seeing those comic covers all the time during my Standard pulls. I personally don't like the self-damage abilities, even if they do a ton of damage output as well, so I never rostered him. Is there a reason I should, or can I safely ignore him too?

Juggernaut is great for one thing - soloing the one star pin in the DDQ. If you keep only a single one star, he's the one.

Agreed. I have 3 one stars on my roster for DDQ, and Juggernaut is essential. I have even beat the two wave second stage with Juggernaut, Storm, and iron man when I forgot to swap characters, but it was a perfect storm of opponents and lucky board. I do not recommend trying that one.

Juggs is powerful enough to solo every possible opponent in the 1* ddq node, and he never conflicted with any of the opponents. So he was the perfect 1* to keep around and use once a day in ddq. He was also a beast in pre 5* Balance of Power. Now he just has a pile of health, but his headbutt doesn't do enough damage to be useful.

With character restrictions in Story mode a thing of the past, I think 1* spidey is also a viable option for the role of "the only 1* you need to solo ddq every day." He is probably the best all-around 1* in the game now.

So long story short: pick one of those two characters and use them every day in DDQ.

    P.S. two more hints:

    (1) you don't even need to level your 1*s past level 30. save the iso for your 2*s and beyond; you will need it!

    (2) if you are in an alliance and like giving out useful teamups, it's worth rostering 1* black widow covered 0/5 (i.e. just 5 blue covers). Her stun is an awesome teamup, easily one of the best in the game. Some vets have 5 such mbws just so they can give a full complement of teamups with each request.

Caveat there - if he's your only 1*, you'll miss out on the bonus Iso on days when Bagman is the hero. Juggernaut is the only single guarantee to beat that node every time.

Edit - I think IM35 can fill that role, as well. But Juggs does it quicker.

The devs recently made a change that allows you to use the same character as the AI so now u can use 1* Spidey with no worries.

Looks like your roster is coming along great. Two two star champs and storm right behind them. Keep pushing along and I'm sure you'll start getting three star covers in no time. I'm curious how the ddq nodes are going. I'm sure you're breezing through the three low level ones now. How are the required node and the big enchilada going on days when you have the hero?

Please quote my entire sentence. Character restrictions are no longer a thing. So spidey (or any other strong 1*) is good to go for every possible 1* ddq node.

Sentry Green is actually quite good, when paired up with lots of strike tiles, such as OML or PH. For only around 500 to 1000 dmg to your non-Sentry characters, you can quickly do around 20000 or more dmg to the enemy team. It feels good when you pull it off.

Note: Ares is flippin' awesome. King of the 2* hitters.
My current lineup is Daken, Ares, and champed 2* Wolverine. ALL the heals!

IM35 is actually my go-to 1* character. If I remember correctly, my 1* lineup is IM35, Storm, and Black Widow

The 3 low level ones are definitely much easier now. I unfortunately haven't had the chance to play the required node and the big enchilada very much. I don't think I'm quite there just yet...at least not consistently.

If you can get to the big enchilada, you can usually beat it with 2* champs - magneto, black widow and storm.

The big enchilada is definitely a huge part of keeping the 3* transition from dragging out forever.

Heh, I did that today, with a level 40 Juggs, level 1 OBW, level 1 Hawkeye. Squeezed it out but it was tough.

I'll definitely have to give that a try then. I've got to admit...I've unintentionally ignored DDQ in favor of ranking higher in PVE, so I'll try giving that some more attention in the future.

Some advice for you brigby as a guy who was a 2* player only a year ago...

The only 1* you will ever need is Juggs. Can handle anything at his level on his own and max him. You'll never regret it.

2* magneto storm and obw will pretty much handle anything. But once you're in 3* land keep all 2s and start a farm, as a farmer I can tell you it's worth it...I NEVER run out of hp.

Save and keep all 3* and max them.

Do not pull any cp or legendary tokens until you have completed the 3* tier. It will be far handier that way.

final tip....don't play for prizes. This leads to burn out and leads to boredom. Play for fun and make little challenges for yourself. Back when I was 2* I made it my personal goal to always beat Juggs with match damage only. This built me a killer denial game which helped me greatly when I was doing crash undercovered and made me focus less on prizes. Remember the journey is the reward, not the destination.

brigby, if you want to experience the agony of scaling, pull a 5* and then try to play competitively. I was once in that situation but have since toughed it out.

    For me,
the addiction kicked in some month ago when I really needed a top 10 placement in PVP and accidentally set the ending time at 5am. I had no other options than to set the alarm, make myself a good coffee and take care of it. I then went back to sleep for an hour, then off to work.

Wait, you had coffee then went back to sleep? Impressive.
