  • Yeah thanks for the thoughts SnyGen, going to try that.

To tank, do I need to win a fight so I'm then attacked? Or what? (I want to lower my MMR for the Widow fight, still got plenty of time to do it.)

There's 2 ways to tank, getting beat on defense and losing. I'm way too impatient to wait for people to beat me, so I just go to Shield Versus since I don't want to sacrifice seed teams in the event I'm tanking for, find a match worth a decent number of points (depends on your ranking in it, if you can find people worth near 50 points, do it), send in a bunch of characters I'm not currently using for anything, and retreat. Keep doing it until they're dead. Then send in another 3 characters you don't need at the moment. Then another. I usually drop at least 12 fights. You can also do this after you get started in the event if you start seeing the filled out 3* teams.

Be careful about dropping a huge number of them or you'll end up in the same MMR as the top players, which is a deterrence to overdoing it.
  • Download the latest patvh everyone. The alliance chat is on and viewing of individual scores yippee.
  • Finally managed to pull a 3* from a token (A daily heroic that I got after I already got my daily of 25 hero points for some reason) for the first time in weeks. I was getting sick of Hawkeye/Thor/Wolverine/Cap from every token.

I'm planning on running Lazy Thor, Black Panther, and GSBW for Hollowpoint Kiss. That gives me a move on every color and a pretty ludicrous amount of damage output. My GSBW is only 3/3/3 so she's really only there for producing more green. Most of my iso-8 will be thrown at Black Panther since I want to get him as high as possible now that I have his black ability at 5. I'll probably be spending a decent amount of time healing people in the Prologue.

I'll be making my push in Unstable Iso-8 about 90 minutes before it ends. I should rubberband my way right back up. I missed my morning refresh since I slept in.

    Post Unstable Iso Update:
Congrats to everyone involved for our top 25 finish in the alliance rankings! I got a top 2 finish myself.

Also congrats to everyone for making us top out at 7th yesterday!

  • Bump for congrats!!
  • first place for 6 days in that pve event.
but end in sleep time... so i was first at 4h before then end. and result top 200.... epic game design.
  • Another topic.
we know that a 3 stars daken is about to come in.
maybe with some changes, maybe a 3rd skill, don't really know.
if you wanna add him in A team, select teammate ....

for 2 heroes pvp ( like lightning round or pvp with 3rd locked hero )
for free pvp ( you chose your 3 heroes like no hold barrel event )
    for pve
  • I sadly finished outside the top 50 in the PvE event, so I wound up with one Torch cover from that and one from the alliance rank. I really would've liked to get them all. Oh well.

    I still hate PvP.

    Hi Syngen,

So to tank properly, do I need a team as low as posible?. I mean a one star team with the lowest levels?. Could it be usefull for it, having three or more slots with a one star heroe (with the lowest level available)? This will costs 1200 HP.

Then I go into Shield Training and take my worst heroes and retreat them to death a lot. Let's say I do this with 3 sets of heroes till they death... , how many retreats total?
And, do I need to win a match with any of my teams previously?

    Tanks in advance.
  • The level of your characters doesn't matter if you're tanking by retreating. Having more characters helps if you're retreating with your entire roster, but otherwise save your hero points.

Each time you retreat your characters lose a third of their hp, so you can retreat 4 times with a character before it gets knocked out (it heals a little bit in the time it takes to line up another fight).

How many retreats it takes depends on how high your MMR got. If you're just stuck seeing all 3* teams at or near 141 you probably have to retreat at least 20 times. It also might not show right away in the list of opponents since the game queues up some number of fights for you in advance. If you tank and are still seeing the same stuff, skip a bunch of them to see if you got low enough. If you start seeing easier teams you're where you should be, otherwise you have to tank more.

As for winning a match, I don't think you need to. I'm not sure if you'll see people worth a huge number of points if you haven't done any SHIELD Training but if you haven't even played it yet you can fight anyone and you'll just have a score of 0. You'll already be at the bottom so you can actually tank against anyone.

    Thank you very much... indeed.
  • Hi,

I have a mess with FB contacts of the alliance...
Does somebody knows if these people are in our alliance: George Stanford, Ibram Fury, Lecomte Cyril?

    Thanks in advance
  • No idea pepetone. Just bumping this along to see if anyone else is on.
  • Now that it's the weekend, I expect to get quite a bump in playtime icon_e_biggrin.gif Also looking forward to all those potential *** Cap covers coming my way.
  • I expect an army of lazy caps to run through here soon icon_razz.gif.
  • answer to pepetone.

    Lecomte Cyril is my FB
  • It was good playing with you guys, but I've decided to move on. I got invited to another alliance, so good luck to you all!
  • Sorry to lose ya, SynGen.
  • Hey imgnthat, Threid, and deonaraine. You guys haven't played in several days. What's up?
  • Hey guys,

I have been sent an invitation to another more active alliance, where everyone plays consistently. I really liked playing with everyone but I am frustrated with our results. Don't be strangers!

Keep pushing for those high ranks, and make sure you get someone good to replace me. icon_e_smile.gif
