  • Same as you, not really high in that pvp event but N* 1 in Pve ( need that torch !! )
  • The way the rubberbanding works in this PvE event it's fine if you're not super competitive until the last day or so. I've only played through the missions of each cycle twice each time, and I end up top 10 pretty effortlessly just before they put up new missions. The real test is the last day because it's going to be awful, especially if they make the set of missions worth 25% or more of your score like the Simulator.

As for the Gold Cap tournament I'm sitting in first by a fair margin right now (about 100 points). I tanked hard enough that I got to where I am almost entirely walking over weak 2* or super weak 3* teams (Walking 90% of your roster into Shield Training and having them retreat from high point fights until they're dead does wonders, especially when you do it twice). I've only been retaliated against twice so far and I won both times, but I'm at the point where all I'm seriously going to see are the tough matchups, so we'll see how high I get.

    Edit:
Gold Cap Update: Managed to get up to 900 for the 50 hero points, shielded at 867

Damn syngen you a god amongst men. I am having a hard time gettung past 600 for the pvp. Hopefully I can pull in enough to get me 750 last minute.
  • Sitting at 712 right now ranked 6th with shield up. Going to brave the last two hours without a shield.
  • I tanked really hard. I was seeing teams running 2* heroes in the 50-70 range and the freebie Cap until like 700 points. Heck I fought people using 1* characters. Most of those people won't have the confidence to fight a maxed out 2* and a 100+ Lazy Thor, so until my push to 900 I was barely even attacked. I learned my lesson after the last PvP event where I landed in a bracket of actual competitors and had to settle for a top 10 placemen: Land yourself a nice MMR so you don't have to fight in shark infested waters.

Edit: Well I might have spoken a little too soon. Just noticed the S.H.I.E.L.D member sitting pretty at 500. Hopefully he doesn't need the covers and is only in this for the alliance points.
  • I'm shielded at 905. Hope it's enough for 1st place I won't cry if it's not though.

  • It probably is. My bracket is in a similar situation now (2nd place is like 50 points behind me) and unless the #2 guy has two fights worth more than 50 points lined up that he's confident he can win quickly and easily I doubt I'm in any trouble. Risking your top 5 or top 10 placing for a 4* cover just isn't worth it. Unless someone with one of the super fast teams that people don't like fighting with is in your bracket, they'll fight over the 2-10 spots and leave you alone for the most part. Although the way your bracket looks like now if the 6-10 spots stay that low they might risk breaking shields to go for it.

I'd be over 900 myself but I actually got there a little too fast, a couple minutes before the 8 hours remaining mark, and I wasn't going to get a 24 hour shield for that.

Huh. Just noticed we're #8 in the Unstable ISO-8 event. I hadn't even been keeping track of it. Have we ever finished above the 20s?
  • I'm in a pvp bracket of death. Top two are shielded above 1100. I'm in 4th at 749. Hopefully I stay in the top ten.

At about 40k in the pve.
  • Long time - no forum.

I've been active in the game, hopefully you've received some rewards.

Sitting shielded at 717. Top guy is 50 above.

I don't want to risk a huge drop in the last moments.

Someday I will finish first, not today.

Staying toward the top in the Unstable ISO-8. Keeping to 10 in reach.
  • Actually we're at number 5 right now lol. I don't think this will last once some of the other alliances clear their refreshes. I'm at 41.5k myself. I'm well positioned to finish in the top 20, but I am running out of boosts so that is a concern.
  • 7th place in pvp. Let's see if I can still get green.
  • How nice of them to give us grey suit covers to use in this next pvp. Anyways the Psylocke covers are appreciated.
  • Sweettttt got greeennnnnnnnn.
  • Blue Invisible Woman reward for first. I predict a lot of competition going for it this time around.
  • Still haven't received the Alliance award.
  • Yep still awaiting.
  • Secured top 25 with no shielding and constant battling to the end. Although I lost my 10 spot still got a red cover out of it. But honestly how the hell do you kill a lvl 150 daken, bullseye, commander? Attempted and failed miserably never do that again ever.
  • With alot of boosting.
  • Fighting Daken/Bullseye/Commander makes me run a super lame setup against them because mine are over level 200 now. I run Lazy Thor (111, abilities stronger than the boosted Thor I have), C.Storm(50, boosts to 89 or so), and OBW (85 boosts to 125).

-My long term goal is to start a loop that denies the other team as many turns as possible.

-At the start the only objectives are survival and AP generation, damage doesn't matter yet. I try to keep strike tiles from Daken down while I gather as much useful AP as possible (anything but black for my setup).

-I usually want to be able to use Thunder Strike on Thor at least once to cascade my green up into the 20s or so.

-Then I use Lightning Storm from C.Storm to gain even more AP, clear the board of Strike, Protect, and Countdown Tiles

-Use whatever AP I gain from that to either toss out more Thor abilities, heal to full, steal AP if there's any worth stealing, use the C.Storm blue if I don't need healing, Lightning Storm for more AP.

If done right you make it so Bullseye and Daken never get to take another turn once you get started. You could easily sub in 2* Thor and 1* Storm if they're better options.

I did end up in first in the Gold Cap event, time to tank a little more before I get ready for the GSBW event.

    Hi,

In this node (and similar ones), I'm using Spidey(90)/ Hulk(128) / OBW (85). Well, I begin to get as many blue as I can.... then stunlock. Later I get purple (protect and steal), then green and red.... at last Hulks beats everybody and then Spidey heals all my team.
