Men, this Best there is event is pissing me off... it's really enjoyable to fight level 162 Wolver Astonishing with my undeveloped Wolver X-force. He is buffed to 52, but single red power. I don't know what they are thinking... Why don't they let me use my fully developed Astonishing instead? He is locked.

You can choose the node and each character is linked to a node:
    bottom left: X-force
    bottom right: Patch
    up: Astonishing

Retaliations may appear on any node, so if you really want to retaliate you are forced to used a given wolverine.
Else, if you choose your node, you choose your wolverine.

    Hope it helps.
  • We are #3 right now in the unstable iso-8 event! Keep it up guys.

Now on to a more personal question. I'm transitioning into 3 star lineups but my question is who should I focus on?

    and first atm!!

but well, I fear that everybody slow down on this event currently...
Main scores increase more slowly, and Cap's red cover seems so far icon_cry.gif

    Who are your candidates?
One could advice to spend iso on ***char only to level him to 100 and above
Personally, I spread my iso depending on buffed characters during events.
I'm slowly leveling Patch, Punisher and Daredevil. But it's mostly because I was lucky on these character's covers and not on others.

DrNitroman: you're right. It's the same of course as it was in some previous events. So silly from me - in all my matches I must have been choosing bottom left node.

    These are my *** characters
    Punisher lvl 102 4/4/2
    Hood lvl 74 3/1/4
    IM M40 lvl 58 3/1/3
    Hulk lvl 56 4/1/1
    Spiderman lvl 52 4/1/2
    Magneto Classic lvl 48 4/0/1
    Loki lvl 41 3/1
    Psylocke lvl 41 1/3
    Daredevil lvl 40 4/1/2

    I also have a **** Wolverine X-force at lvl 87 2/2/2

I just want to get a good group that synergizes well.

After heroic juggs I finally started to stack iso to pour into whoever is buffed/required on any coming events, while putting leftovers to my mains. As for 3* the new characters are pretty powerful, as lazythor does more damage than same level mnthor even at lower covers and it seems 3caps red is a killer. Oh and the same goes for BP's black. I'm looking to bring up thor to feed punishers green and then his own, and looks like BP will fill the 3rd spot with blue and black but that might change. If and when I get enough covers for patch he might replace punisher. Cmags would fill purple, and blue and well, red too nicely but I'm likely not getting him up before the nerf. Same for spidey. Right now it's gonna be obw, punisher and lazythor as my first 3* setup. I'm way too addicted to obw's steal and heal. But with her steal damage working with punishers strike tiles there you are, not ready to let her go for a while icon_e_biggrin.gif

But all in all I'd say anyone who you can get the covers to be effective. At least one tank, a killer (meaning a lot of damage either directly or through strike tiles) and a third. And whoever mixes well with your current mains. Just stop leveling xwolw till they finally tweak him icon_e_wink.gif Oh and im40 seems surprisingly usable just for his yellow.
  • So I know this may be a little off topic, but did anyone else see The Winter Soldier last night? I need to freak out about it with someone.
Also, if you're not planning on seeing it, change your plans because its on par, if not better than the Avengers. Seriously, it's amazing.

(p.s. there are two after credits scenes)
  • No but I plan to, that's one of those you want to see in a theater. I picked up marvel comics app and been reading punishers, cap is next in line. Btw looks like we are getting ingame chat on next update.
  • When is the next update supposed to happen anyway?
  • Huzzah! I finally got the last blue cover for my OBW. I can now reliably heal and do better in tournies.

OBW? more like, OP! icon_lol.gif ...........................w

    I agree with Interruptor.
First, you want good-covered 3-stars to be really potent. I'd say ten covers to enable leveling up to level 100. Above level 100, the damage per tile of a three-stars is not as good as a two-stars. But you can bring a three-stars to fight if you want to use a specific power in synergy with another hero.
Then you can choose depending on the role (killer, tank...) and on the color of each hero. As you have a strong Punisher, you could build around him and choose characters with yellow, blue and purple.
So why not IM40, his yellow power would feed red and green for punisher (support) and he has lot of HP to tank damage.
as a third who use purple, cMag is very powerful while Spiderman is a strong support character (healer); Loki and Daredevil are less reliable but if you are a gambler you'd love them icon_e_smile.gif

As I said, I think you need to get 10 (maybe 8) covers to have a good three-stars so your first three-stars team may depend on your luck at winning covers (except if you want to spend hp but I find it very very expensive). Sometimes a good two-stars can be more effective. I plan to use Daredevil as a blue/purple user to replace OBW... but as Interruptor I find difficult to let OBW for the moment, she so useful icon_mrgreen.gif

Thanks! I'm still searching for covers, so mine's only 1/5/3 at the moment. But even at lvl 46, the full blue is proving to be very, very helpful

With the addition of the alliance rewards I feel that MPQ is more generous with three-stars covers than two-stars one!
Happily enough the respec option allows to hoard the first covers without the fear of making a mistake.

By the way, do anyone have experience with MN Magneto. I don't really use mine for now. He is 4/5/4 by chance. I just win a red cover: is it worth levelling to 5 red? and so which power to decrease, blue?

I use magneto for goon fights to feed obws blue, so it's definitely 3/5/5 for me. Having a full board clear is powerful, but I'm not a fan of cd powers. His red is one of the better ones of 2* reds, with cd of 1 that does decent damage AND ap. But I consider purple still his main skill. Mostly a support character for another blue user imo. And for tougher fights, you can put those crit boosts to proper use.

As always, if you have a better red in his team, then it's another story, but I don't think I've used his blue ever that much.

Yeah, two stars are a lot harder to get as rewards these days, but they are easier to find randomly from recruit tokens. Also, with 16 3* characters (17 once the human torch is released), it can be a long time between events that award the character, so getting just one cover of a character isn't always great because it could just end up being a waste of a roster space. So while I guess I feel that at least the rewards are sorta balanced.

And I would go for the extra red on MnMags, because if you ever need the blue, it doesn't work at a high level. My MnMags is 5/4/2 and I've found the high blue useless. at level 5, his blue countdown tile takes 4 turns, while his red only takes 1 turn. I don't need to tell you which is more likely to activate. Plus you get more 16 more AP at level 5 than you do at level four. The down side for red is increased AP cost (+3 red) as opposed to increased countdown for blue. But you get more than 5 AP returned for each of the extra red you had to spend, so i feel its worth it, especially next to the lvl 4 and 5 blue power.

Congrats on obw, I've been pretty lucky with token pulls lately, got a hood, spidey and a green punisher from standards in the last couple weeks! And got a hood from his events progression token and same for lazy thor. Just starting my climb in wolw soon, mpq gods can't possibly stay as favorable so long to get a patch. Also got in a lazy bracket in hood I think it was and got my first iw for just 677
