Good job on top 10 finish in First Avenger. Joining late usually sets you up with an easier bracket. I usually wait for last 24-36 hrs before joining and generally get more casual brackets. However, this time I tanked first so I joined the first day. Got to 700 pts but finished #13 so my bracket was a little tougher.

I don't think the points for the PvE are going to go crazy. It looks like we have our last set of nodes and the max base node value is 300. Nobody will reach the Cap progression rewards. It's not the first time that's happened. Heroic Oscorp has three Xforces as prog rewards and only the most insane grinders supposedly got them. No one on the forums got even close. The thing with this event is being able to play during the last couple hours with full refreshed stacks to get the Human Torch covers. Good luck!

Just finished my run through on the nodes and catapulted up to 1st with 49,385

I'm assuming these missions are about to disappear and then I'll wait to play the last set during the last hour of the tournament.

Should be fine with a 12 hour reset, not sweating it. Just going for top 50 to get both covers.

Just got home from work to find myself at 160th with 45.5k. First place is just over 50k, so it'll be tight, but I played this morning at about 7, meaning a few hours until full refreshes for me, and there's definitely enough points on the maps that I should be able to break into top 50.

In the meantime, I think I'll go to the bar and have whatever the new experimental hopped IPA is. Huzzah!

j12601, sounds like you're in a good position to finish well in the event. Just don't get too toasted at the bar

Being 5k+ back from the lead means your first node will be worth the full 10x multiplier, so the highest point node should be worth 3000. After that it'll diminish quickly. It's going to be an interesting finish as I think a lot people have figured out how this event works. Anyone within 20k points probably has a shot for top 10 placement if they're able to clear all the nodes.

Venezuela is worth 2224 for me. I've still not beat it at all this time, I'm 6k behind the lead. Even with boosts I can't beat it. Ugh.

I use wolvie, loki, and obw. Use trickery when there's a lot of protect/attack tiles out then use the enemies tools against him

Then it is quite a challenge. Looking at your roster I'd go with one of the Storms. Both Storms have tile breaking to clear those pesky protect/strike tiles. Stun would help greatly so classic storm might work well. You might want to save that one for later so you don't burn up all your health packs.

I've moved into top 50 just on some of the other goons only fights and a couple plays of the Lazyshield essentials. Still have 4 or 5 health packs left. Should be able to stay top 50 which is all I really need.

Just started playing a bit of the widowmaker. Rather glad that there's nothing else going on today. Hit 300 for my bagman token. Going to play a bit tonight and maybe a little in the morning, but this one finishes while I'm at work so I'm not going to be pushing too hard.

I'm probably going to try to get up to 500 tonight then play and shield in the morning before work. I would like another blue IW, but I really only need black Psylocke.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of activity so far in this event. Keep in mind with BWGS we can't use OBW for healing so that only leaves Spiderman for healing or go with no healing. This means you may not be able to play in as long as a stretch before your health packs get used up so you don't want to wait too long if you want to place in Psylocke territory. Although if there is low activity then getting to 500 may be enough.
