    Hm, Torch so soon, insane rate to dump new characters really...
    Hulk, Patch, OBW buffed among others, sounds interesting.

    I thought "unstable ISO" is the thing there brotherhood mutants were introduced, is that it? Or something completely different from the distant past?

    This seems to be something in the past. The Hulk refers to something about the red isotope and I'm guessing that's what the unstable isotope 8 is.
  • If AI has enough to use the most expensive ability in a color it will always use that one.

    If there are two abilities tied for most expensive it picks one at random.

    If it has enough for a cheap ability, it will make a random roll each turn to decide whether to use the cheap ability or save up for the more expensive one. The greater the difference between the ability it can use versus what it's saving up, the less likely it'll use it. That is, if your blue abilities are ATU (2) and Ballistic Salvo (20), it will skip using ATU a considerable amount of time.

    In practice, the AI almost always just end up using the cheap ability because even if you're lookin at something like ATU versus Ballistic Salvo, eventually enough turn passes that it rolls the lower ability.

    Therefore for a powerful character that has a potential to win on defense, like Black Panther, you need to eliminate the chance someone else will use up the black, since a resolved Rage of the Panther greatly increases your chance of winning defensively.

    I'd only consider putting Black Panther with The Hood in terms of black ability, because The Hood is strong enough to take that risk. I wouldn't do a team like Black Panther + The Punisher (assuming levels are not a factor) because a team centered around Black Panther should not need The Punisher to win offensively, but The Punisher will definitely get in Black Panther's way on defense. Now if The Punisher is level 141 and nobody else is even close, then you should still take him, but if you have any other comparable options, use those instead to protect Black Panther's black.
  • I like BP plus Hulk defensively. Lotta health, potential killer in "Rage". The third would be the buffed character, or whoever is your preference.

    Try restarting the application, sometimes that helps.

    I'd say you need to be able to get red to at least 4 to be worth it, both in terms of getting your value early enough against any potential nerf, and that getting your value before other people getting the same idea. Why not just upgrade red 3 times with 3750? That's his overwhelmingly most powerful skill. I calculated the odds of getting 4 3* covrs in a 10 pack to be 1%, so the odds are not very good, and if you get only 3 covers you should just upgrade 3 red times, unless you didn't score high enough to have a red cover in Simulator Basic.

    After getting a calculator I get the chance of pulling 4 Cap covers is 3.26% from a 10 pack. If you're feeling that lucky, just spent 3750 HP to upgrade 3 covers and another 200 for one more token. The chance of pulling Captain is around 4%, so if you're supposed to be that lucky you'd pull Captain on that single token. If you're not that lucky, you at least still have 3 Cap covers.

    Ok, load'em and get to work:

    1. Fearless Defenders
    I'm shielded at #1 with 725pts. Will make another push in the morning.
    As a team, we're currently at #62 with 5127pts, so it would be nice to push a little bit more and reach top50. #10 is at 7124, so safe top50 should be something around 6k pts.

    2. Lightning Rounds
    Be sure to at least play once per one round - You get small amount of ISO just for participating. And if You could reach 100pts, that's 960-1240 ISO for 10mins of playing. Also some of Us have really high Hood, which is buffed in LR and can pose a real threat, so if You aim high, make sure he's part of Your team. He definitely lowers the chances to be hit and raises the chances of winning when someone hits You anyway.

    3. Unstable ISO-8
    I have ZERO idea how this event works. If there's someone who was in MPQ by the time it was first launched, we would gladly learn anything about it. I barely started it, but will fight each node once today.
  • I'm not going to have as much time to play as usual next couple of days unfortunately...

    I cleared all the nodes in the PVE, but it does seem strange to have a 7 day event with only one round and no subs if it doesn't change.

    I poked my head over 300 in FD. It is actually a tough event for me with the hero pool. I will hope to get a chance to hop on again and push over 500 or more.

    I won't have a prayer of time for LR's...best I can hope for is to tank one maybe.

    Does anyone know if you can transfer data from a steam account to a mobile version? I would get a viable mobile device just to be able to play when on the move. icon_e_smile.gif
  • YEY!!! #5 in Mags LR, my final blue cover is finally here. And the token provided a green GSBW. (wonder if I ever get a red icon_e_smile.gif


    The PVE is strange indeed and doesn't fire me up a bit. 6 days for a single set of prizes? Come on. I suggest we take the minimalistic approach to get the new covers and that's it. Not worth the grinding.

    The text says 'new missions every day' so I guess after 24h (or some other weird time) some or all nodes disappear and new ones are created. If someone figures out the refresh period or any useful info please alert everyone. I played the fattest nodes once, eventually will do the rest too, once. Maybe play a second on the essentials and wait for more info.

    In theory with rubberband the lead can be catched up later.
    It would be good to get idea whether RB is based on local leader or a global one, if the local then different rules will play.
  • I'm sitting #1 in PvE with 7048 and all nodes down to 1 available ISO. #25 in FD. I'll grind that out tomorrow. Never have luck in LR but I use them to farm ISO

  • The PvE event is not nearly as hard as it looks. Two of the buffed heroes, OBW and Patch, are amongst the strongest hero in the game. Most of the 230 fights are against guys who can't move the board. Patch can even take a Headbutt and still survive if you have him near 141. Now, if you don't have Patch at a high level, it can be pretty hard, but even then the goons certainly aren't the hardest goons (no Muscles or Empircists who have hard hitting abilities and 15K HP to boot). Note that Grenadiers need 6 turns to use Rocket versus 4 turns for Flamethrower, despite the two ability have the same cost. Rocket does a bit more damage, but realistically both will wipe out your team so kill the Pyros first.
  • Against goons Patch's green is perfect. If You can control the countdowns, launching Berzerker Rage means winning the match.

    There's an utterly devastating amount of community scaling, expect future nodes to end up at 230 pretty soon after becoming available, no matter your personal scaling. I've done some testing in regards to personal scaling, it's very minor at best, only observed a few changes that I couldn't pin directly on community scaling.
  • Patch 544 (respec in progress) + OBW + anyone (I'm using Hood) = zero problems with those goons fights. I'm grinding right now.

    Guys, seriously - put some ISO into Patch. He's hell of a use in this event and there's Logan's tourney coming in a couple of hours. ISO well spend.
  • Well I have made it up to 532 in FD but I need to get my mmr down. Im beat, I'm gonna crash and wake up in the morning to lower my mmr and make a final push.

    EDIT: Can't sleep lol. Just did the 230 maggia/hammer stack with OBW (85), Hood (89), and fat Thor (52+buff). Really no problem with Hood AP stealing (I have him with 5 blues), Widow's blue juggles countdowns, and choice between Hood and Thor's Yellows to help match and/or outright destroy the countdown tiles.
