    I've wondered about that since I'm in the same boat. My 3/5/5 Punisher is lvl 125 & 3/3/4 BP is lvl 60 with 30k iso to use after our victories. Should I try maxing Punisher or is that iso better spent on taking BP to 100ish? I don't know if they'd make the best teammates since they overlap in black.
    They are very reasonable teammates. That said, I tend to think it is better to maximize who you can, so I might be tempted to go Punisher. I have both maxed and can report that they work together nicely.

    I would max Punisher, he just has more versatiltity than BP. Get that extra damage out of the black and strike tiles really helps. I just maxed my Puisher and I was going to try and push Patch up to 141 but I've decided to go with Thor, he's just too good not to get to 141.

    Punisher is my favorite thing really -- but I don't plan to level him from where he is now (around 128?). I even stopped Patch 7 levels from cap. The difference in performance is IMO not big enough for the amount of ISO required, so further leveling is on hold until no one else needs it more. (Or I need to adjust tile ownership-like things).

    Sure a 141 is optically impressive, but I go for optimal cost/effect in the meantime.

    Also IME having ISO reserve is good -- it allows spend it liberally when I have some idea -- say it was quite a lifesaver in Juggs, as I could level IM40 out of sequence who allowed me actually get anywhere. Later Hood got some levels, and all the bosses we used recently. Most recently even Hulk gained some icon_e_smile.gif And I look ahead to improve Lazy Captain as soon as I get covers, or Lazy Thor too.

    As for some time I had ISO on my hand, all my regular workhorses: Mags, patch, punisher obviously got their deal and for them I would not hesitate to add more if thought it is needed.

    You guys need one more? Heisenberg2005. 141 c.mags, 94 punisher, lots of maxed 2 tiers, play daily. My alliance right now doesn't play much, but I do. PM me. Thanks, guys/gals.

    If I could go with BP all the way I wouldn't hesitate much probably. But I'm unsure about how he would work at lvl115 with 4 black.

    (Though I might buy the 5th black with HP and that would bump the limit too... as backup plan.)

    Wow, just came back home (yeah, few hours later than I thought) and I hit a wall of pop-ups, which is nice. The best one was the one with "Alliance top 2". icon_e_biggrin.gif Great job everyone! And congratulations to Django as well. icon_e_smile.gif I wish I contributed more but, as I said, I couldn't play last weekend. Fortunately it was enough to be in top 50 individual, so I'm very happy to get 3 covers and one of tokens also gave me green Ragnarok, so it was nice day. icon_e_smile.gif
    As for my BP, yeah I will put both covers into him right away. I sometimes completely forget about respec. icon_e_biggrin.gif And 1000 ISO is not that much. I also must be automatically comparing his blue to Spidey or CMags who I am using very often, but maybe I should try how BP blue works. icon_e_smile.gif
    And now let's try the next tournament. Hulk at last. My 5/2/1 could use some red/black. So far I had a strange "luck" with green covers. I have it maxed for quite a long time and I think I already sold 4 or 5 more of them so it will be a nice change. icon_razz.gif

    When in a rush to bang out quick wins. SUICIDE RUNS ARE AWESOME!!!!
    Patch, hulk. 6 greens = instant win. I honestly burnt 4 health packs running suicidal fights from 1145-noon. Comes in handy for these last minute suicide runs.

    So, I pushed BP to 94 for starters. That's where his black is 1 pt under OBW. The L4 black good for 2k damage.

    Tried teams bp/pun/obw, bp/patch/obw and for defender bp/awol/hulk. Each worked quite well against 3x85 teams, used all BP abilities, even tried blue once, interesting for sure.

    Last game was really fun, No green on the table at all, kept picking spread colors, but can't activate anything, like 10 reds, 0 green, 9 black... OBW down to 1400 from tile damage, switched to other.

    I picked up the final blacks and the op got into some ungodly cascade and activated several abilities including thor green as last. My company at 1/3 health ech. That placed 5 hulk anger counters on the board that was already quite green (guess thor yellow was also shot). The table just got filled with green, and as it finished I had 15 green AP. Claws filled all the 4 red tiles with swords, then panther decimated the opponents leaving only thor with some life. not for long. Just never saw such sea of greens on the table. The AI should learn not to anger the hulk even with just level3. icon_e_smile.gif

    Will do some more experimenting then probably go for more levels. OBW ruled black only in patch setup anyway.

    Will also try bp/mStorm with hulk or pun.

    As Phantron has pointed out, you don't want to run BP with anyone having a cheaper black (e.g. Psylocke, Hood, Punisher). But arguably Hood is more dangerous on defense than BP anyway. Oh yeah he's not allowed in the heroes tourney icon_e_sad.gif


    Edit: Just retaliated against an 'uber' team with maxed Panther (black deals 2675 AoE damage), a **** oBW with level 4 recon (seriously?) and level 125 Punisher. Of course the AI went with Molotov while being one match away from Rage of the Panther.

    It's quite random. All depends on the cost and the damage, with occasional deviation. e.g. last round - battle with GWBS and Cmags - You'd never know if Your hero will be downed by Mags or if BW will launch her purple instead.

    Unless some of that is part of April joke, it will be an interesting week.

    this fearless defenders PvP is driving me nuts since it's the only thing going on. i'm tired of fighting for 16 only to lose 40+

    well in few hours LR's will start, those are going to be brutal until the PvE starts. I'm just going to be tanking the LR's and getting free packs and ISO, I'm maxed on covers for Mags, Loki 4/3, Rags 4/4, Doom 5/1, and Hood 5/5/2, so depending on what the prizes are I probably won't be doing much. I wish they would rotate the cover spots on the LR's, it seems so dumb to have them in the same spot all the time.
