    It's a scaling cost much like Cover Slots. *Currently* it starts at 600 a slot, but that could change before Live. That cost should give you an idea of what we're thinking for pricing, but as always, we'll react as we see the user-base use the features.     Speaking of scaling costs on Cover Slots, is that ever going to be adjusted, I'm sitting at 35 and it starts to get pretty steep. With the rate of new characters people will be maxing out their slots, any thought or idea on adjusting those costs given the ever increasing character roster?

    So anyone not in an alliance able to see my alliance to join it? Retribution

    I am just wondering if being able to view it is based on openings or not.

    I added one person but that was because I bought the alliance slot then set it to private. They were able to request a spot.

    Now that I have no more spots, does that mean no one else can apply?

    Yup. The join button is not displayed on full alliances.

    Your Alliance can be searched for and found/viewed. But the UI disallows any attempt to apply. So it appears that as Commanders add more roster slots they will need to contact friends and aquaintances to let them know that there is once again an opening.

    ok thank you very much! Just trying to figure all of this out.

    Ouch. It cost me 4000 Hero points to add 5 slots.

    Have people noticed how the prize 'packets' now differ by * level?
    So a 1* prize (such as the ISO reward of a standard PvP match) is plain, while a 2* prize (e.g. hard PvE map reward pool) has more embellishment.

    Well I just had my first 2* pull from a standard token since the patch, and if you have a higher rarity prize the 'packet' will reflect that before you open it!
    Just for that added moment of tension, since you'll know it's something better before you get to see the cover...

  • For the record I am formally requesting the reward screen to be changed to be slightly more like the elemental stones from the 5th element, complete with the element lines. Each reward star ranking can be a different element. And when you open one like with fire your reward can rush out and greet you in a fiery blaze, 20 iso.

    I would do matches just to watch that.

    I like the new reward screens, though I still wish there'd be an option to turn off reward animations. The new Alliance search options are nice, and the "equivalent buffed level" indicator is a welcome change.

    However, some minor design annoyances: I'm playing on my Galaxy Nexus, and on initial screens for a character cover, all the text aside from the character's name is now harder to read, due to thinner typeface weight, nearly nonexistent margins, and the fact that, for 1* chars, the white "Common Character" text is barely legible on its light periwinkle background. I understand that there might be a desire to unify font choices between various elements (e.g. Continue button and character class), and most users really don't need to read "Common Character" or "Classic", but it's a noticeably worse experience.

    Also, the background gradient on "Recruit Token" on the end-of-match earning screen is very... um... 90's-Powerpoint-ish.

    But, as for the important stuff: two thumbs up for the update!

    P.S. - It'd be great if I could flip character-roster pages by swiping left and right on my screen, as opposed to pressing the left and right arrows which are literally ~5mm in diameter on my phone.

    Given that the update only came around earlier today, I'm not sure there's an issue there quite yet.

    It's a client update you need to download it from your app store.

    Hey thanks, Nemek! That worked of course, and didn't occur to me for some reason. It is a bit strange that it didn't auto-update this time. I've never had to manually force a new rev of MPQ.
  • So not too sure I like this whole showing the actual level of buffed covers thing. It's quite misleading and makes my roster seem very messy. Maybe it just needs some getting used to but so far I'm not happy with that modification. The new cover pack graphics and stuff are kinda cool but I still think it was wasted manpower that could have been much better used to fix something that actually mattered, which UI improvement doesn't, because it's fine how it is, except the black power bar in game. It's been the only big UI issue for months and it's ignored.

    Try restarting. It's a problem that's cropped up intermittently in earlier versions -- usually accompanied by the Data version on the start screen having two different large numbers in its version string instead of two matching ones.
