It's hard (now) to believe those ever existed. It was my most 'profitable' week in MPQ ever.
It was a little hard to believe at the time! I know I definitely took advantage of it...0 -

yep. That's probably why I think fondly of Ares hunt as my fave pve so far.0 -
Hmmm. Hulk event does not end on a full hour??0

The sub-events don't have any rubber banding pertaining to the main event, so late joiners can only catch up in the main bracket by grinding down the entry-level missions every chance they get (since those are impacted by rubber banding). Source is that I'm only at 25k points so far and my sub-brackets are hardly rubber banding, whereas the missions in the main are hard-capping their rubber banding.0 -
Does anyone else enjoy making the avalanche on the mountain levels? I love it. Just blew up my nemesis Daken with a rather large avalanche of blue tiles. I did get myself in trouble earlier trying to build up the tiles to make it. lol0

Gaaah... knew I timed my push a little too early. Nothing worse then finishing 5th........... Damn it!0

There can only be one Deadly Shot on the board at any time so the 0 cost is irrelevent. They will continue to generate green AP though, which makes it very bad if Ares is on the same team. Note that since the Sniper will always immediately put another Deadly Shot on, there's usually no reason to destroy the tile until the last turn unless you need the green, or that they're paired with villians.0 -
Man. I've had the busiest day of work in a loooong time. Was only able to play about 30 minutes this refresh. Managed to get top 10 in one sub (not that it matters since it's a top 20 reward) and top 600 in the other. Still close to top 300 of main.
So much ISO left on the table from not playing though.0 -
Since they lowered the stuff from 230X3 the grind is way worse than before. I can tell the guys at the top have score at least equal to grinding everything down to 0 on the last refresh, possibly more than once, and that's way too much grinding.0

I wonder if i should add a section to my guide that talks about strategies against different types of enemies, might be useful for newer people for missions like this where the optimal strategy is to make as many matches as possible before destroying the countdown tile. I hit top 200 in both subs this time around: bad end time for me.0 -
Just keep the sniper that launched the sniper shot stunned (usually it's the first sniper launches it, but not always) & it makes the fight very easy, since there is no need to stun the other 2.0

Got a green hulk from a standard token now he's 5/0/0 and ready to upset me when I get a green off the free hulk node... Gonna happen.
1st in hard top 200 in easy, just playing as little as possible. Scaling for me is more than acceptable that way. Back to work then going to check the reward tokens.0 -
I was busy today and didn't have time to place well in both subs, but I did 1st in one and 400-600 in the other, so that's 3 tokens to be had.0

Do points from a sub mission you finish AFTER the sub end time count towards your overall main bracket score? I know they don't for the subs but not sure for the main.
I can confirm that completing a main mission after it has expired (i.e. the Rag/Flame/Flame one just now) still gives you the points in your main bracket.0 -

I agree. I just don't have the time to grind into oblivion like others do. Much prefer enemy scaling.0 -

This.
3 Snipers used to the bane of my life before I realized only one countdown tile can be on the screen at one time. Since I figured that out I now see them as free Iso and healing bays. Good times.0 -

the two missions against the Hulk I played three times each, the one mission against three level 230 snipers and the three missions in the main event I only played once, played every other mission twice.
Unfortunately I couldn't play at all in the two hours before the subs ended so these numbers are a little off (and I wasn't able to check on my placement as the subs were ending) but about 20 minutes after that first round was over I was at #5033 in the main bracket. Got top 100 in both subs.
Second set of subs:
played the two new missions in the main event once, each mission in both subs twice, top 100 and top 20 finishes
up to #3034 in the global bracket0 -

Given how little difference there is between finishing high or low in the subs (it's always a token + ISO except at the very top) as long as you're in the top 800, I think it makes sense to focus completely on the main
Totally agree. Not to mention that with Hulk events the subs will start getting dominated by late-joining rubberbanders, so it's best to prepare yourself for that mentally now. Oh man, do I miss those 500HP Ares sub rewards.
Late joiners aren't getting the benefits from rubberband like the old Hulk mission. I was busy so I didn't play the first day, and I'm not getting good rubberbanding at all. Seems rubberband is based on sub mission scores, like the recent PVE events.0 -
I just exhausted most of my health kits and a bunch of boosts just so I could barely scrape through the mission to unlock the West Sahara event. The new day just started, so why are they so tough? Not cool.0

Latecomers aren't getting the bonus, or you'd have seen guys with like 20K points in the sub brackets by now (an amount no possible amount of grinding can possibly beat).
The sub brackets are rubberband by the overall sub leader like usual. The main bracket missions are rubberband by the overall bracket leader, though I'm currently around #100 and I still get the 10X modifier on the main mission, so the overall leader is so far ahead of everyone that it hardly matters if you're a latecomer or not for all practical purposes.0
