Why are the progression rewards so high for Webbed Wonder?

54,000pts for max progression in a 3 day event!? Anybody else starting to feel the burn?

Our last event was the same, but the devs were kind enough to give us 4 days. I'm hoping this is just a Howard the Duck thing. I barely completed my max progression and ranked 91 out of 100 players in my bracket for that event.

That tells me that some people might have made the T100 without even hitting max progression. Is it just me or are people phoning these events in?

I came in 47th in The Hunt to get my purple Howard but fell bout 2K short of getting the 25CP because it was 3AM in the **** morning and I'd ground the last sub to dust. There just wasn't anymore points to get.

Then they screwed us again on the 25CP for Webbed Wonder and what should be a fun throw away event to make people happy happy and generate good will ends up being hard as hell for nothing.

Why in the **** wont the devs ever listen?

    We are the April Fools.

there were many that were well past the cp progression and finished outside the t100. I think several threads have popped up. I ground like mad and ended up 24th, where I have finished t20 in the past for similar effort. I don't think anyone mailed this one in unless you just lucked into a nice bracket.

my absolute best is somewhere around 20th. sometimes better sometimes worse, but always around there.

Except that one clear of the first sub was worth a little over 3,000 points and I'm looking right at Duck Be A Lady and it only gave 4060 points for a full clear.

I was just barely on the wrong side of optimal for the first sub, I'm optimal so far for the second sub, I have 16,723 points and I'm in 57th place.

1 clear of Walk in the Park was worth 3900 pts.

Expect 1 clear of the last sub to be worth twice as much (or at least close): 7500pts?

1 clear of the second sub somewhere in between: 5700pts?

    So...

    Sub ... 1 clear ... 3 clears ... 3 clears + full grind
    1 ....... 3900 ..... 11700 .... 23400
    2 ....... 5700? .... 17100 .... 34200
    3 ....... 7500? .... 22500 .... 45000
    Total .. 17100 .... 51300 .... 102600

Of course joining late may cost a clear or more.

There are also a few 100pts on the main sub.

So assuming, the third node is worth almost double the points of the first one, which I think it is A LOT (I think something like 4500 for the second and 5500 for the third is going to be much closer to reality), 3 clears would not be enough :S . BUT having this event survival nodes and knowing that in events with survival nodes like EotS late subs are worth a lot of points, maybe you are right...

The survival nodes of this first sub are worth **** though. I hope future survival nodes are worth much more points.

But I guess until we see how much are worth second and third sub it is really hard to know how difficult it is going to be getting the CPs.

PS: Lately devs are really making the CPs much harder to get (with the exception of the second test for the new PvE format), which is something definitely NOT COOL (lately I am saying this in this game too much...)

    Edit:

Just 4060 ? That is even worse that what I expected...

Interesting....I am hearing that rubberbanding is on, which makes it hard to know what the base values are.
My first clear of Walk in the Park was 3900, and numerous others in my bracket also had 3900, implying that is the clear value.

Did you have all the essentials? Successfully clear all waves?

Yeah, there is rubberbanding. I just checked and the last survival now is worth 1000+, this morning it was 900.

It is amazing that devs still have rubberbanding ON now, why is this still in their code ?!?!?! Or at least change the default value to OFF !!!

Every new event, since LTs were introduced, has had the max progression set too high. I usually get max progression with about a day left (i.e.: during grind of penultimate sub or first clear of last sub), but it's been closer to final clear of final sub with every new event.

Survival nodes inflate max potential points which increases the LT target. Typical non release target is 45% of maximum points

I sure did, cleared everything. Very disappointed in the point totals and 54K progression.

EDIT: Also, I'm playing Slice 1 since I'm working late shifts right now. Works out best with my lunches and I can do third clear and final grind when I get home.

EDIT 2: The 3230 points BlackBolt reported for a clear on the first sub sounds very close to what I was getting too.

3603 first sub clear, 4060 for the second for me.

ground out just under 17k first sub good for top 50.

54k does seem high for non-new character release, maybe sub 3 will be generous.

For the first Howard event I was 9th and just missed the 25 CP....I definitely left points on the table but I was surprised at how few people made it....got lucky on my bracket I guess

Unless is 3rd day filled with high points I'll miss CP's. I can't remember when I did miss it last time when playing whole event.
Those new characters/PVE rewards are too high IMO.

Because otherwise after 7 clears everyone ends up on exactly the same score, which is generally a bad idea.

I got 4060 points too, that last node damn near destroyed my roster. I had to use Deadpool points in the end.

That last nose of Kp-hood-maggia was absolutely terrible. So many cd tiles to deal with.

The difficulty in this event is ****. The essential wolverine node is one of the hardest in the game. Can't keep up with a muscle and 2 dons.

I hit progression each event but unless there is a mass of points in the 3rd part its a long way, away halfway through the event and haven't got the 3* reward yet.. seems the points are not right unless there is a massive boost in points next sub

Yes, there will be a points boost in sub 3.
Yes, it will require grinding a tough as nails survival node.

Seriously guys, it was the same when they first ran the Ghost Rider PVE - exactly the same complaints.

PVE sucks, but at least the devs have gotten the hang of setting the CP at 45% max progression - no reason to believe they screwed that up until seeing the final sub.
