Well Hulk is at 6 covers for me. Currently the only 3* that can go to lvl 74. Still waiting for some 3* covers that will make one of my 3* playable in PVP

I'm currently 5/4/4 on my Hulk, mainly cos that's the 13 covers I got first on my one and only max 3*. Now I have 2 spare black covers kicking about. What's so exciting about 5/3/5, is it worth feeling spoiled and respeccing a 3*!?

Is the extra tile of green created with the 5th black worth the damage that the team now takes? How does the damage on 5 black work, the description isn't very good, is it per tile, or just 87 and 174 total, which seems kinda piddling for HULK damage, like a wee tickle...

I use red occasionally, especially as for a while I was pairing with Laken and now with X-Force, so needed the extra damage, that means I kinda value the extra punch of 4 over 3.

Yes.

In my opinion at least. You get more ->cascades->you clap->more cascades->more clapping, etc.

The damage is per Anger countdown and it's just an ancillary effect although that's one more thing that counts any strike tiles you have out (before they get wiped by the cascades…)

I personally find the Smash to be on the expensive side with lots of downsides (damage AND AP drain!)...

Yeah, I've mentioned it in my Hulk/Patch Strategy, but 5 Black for Hulk is great. The damage you take to your team is VERY minimal and if you have any strike tiles out (which you probably do with Patch) the opposing team ends up taking a reasonable amount of damage. Not to mention the extra green tiles for matches...

Man, I am struggling with this hulk PvP event. Trying to get in fights where and when I can, but they take so long, and I am having to use on average 2 Health Packs after each fight, so can't fight all that often.

Trying to get fights done when I can...

That's why I've used Patch and Lazy Daken in pretty much every fight.

Same here, regen characters are great for climbing the ladder.

Enoc, have you done any MMR management this season? That might help you situation.

I keep hoping they will do another Laken event. I have 3 covers for him. So, he is mostly useless to me in his current state.

Yeah, I did lower my MMR fairly significantly during the preseason events. I haven't yet for this hulk, but probably will later tonight. I didn't do much MMR management last season, as when my MMR got low enough, all I saw above 400-500 points was solid 166 teams, so I was trying not to lower and instead just compete in the events normally. I still did fairly well in most of the events

I need more yellow covers for my patch, and my LDaken is highly undercovered. Those teams are pretty solid, and not the easiest to beat when they are on the defense either when maxed out.

Tried very hard to enter top 100 this event. The ridiculous hulks do not help at all. max score was 512 and i was #99. Not worth shielding at that. Tried to push higher but I lost in a close game and also got attacked. I am right at 480 points and I got ho health packs or chars alive left to push. I wont be shielding. I'm calling this event over for me. I'll just leech one cover from alliance rewards. Sorry

And let me soapbox for a moment now that we've filled the open spot.
CareBearStare is a top50 alliance. I've rarely called us out like that. I've always said top100. There are other alliances that get into the top50 sometimes or often and they call themselves a top50 alliance. We held the top50 in EVERY PVP and PVE in Season 5 and we're on track to repeat it in Season 6. Will we slip a few ranks in some event and I have to eat crow? Possibly. But for now... I'll call it top50. Stare on!

What a heart breaker... no sooner had I mouthed off about the top50 status and we ended up shy of that goal in Heavy Metal. By 4 points . Pride goeth before the fall...
