I'm predicting a 25% to 50% drop in the playerbase next season. icon_twisted.gif Will the publisher make any changes in human resources if that happens? icon_twisted.gificon_twisted.gif Will Marvel rescind or decide NOT to renew the license to D3 due to the revenue drop? icon_twisted.gificon_twisted.gificon_twisted.gif
If it weren't for the fact that I doubt D3 would release the numbers, I'd happily take that bet.

    The over or under? icon_mrgreen.gif

How long will it take D3 to take full action on all of the exploiters? If the number of cheater is as small as they say, it shouldn't take very long. The next season starts soon and I doubt anyone wants to be in an alliance with a known cheater.

Hey buddy, are you TRUSTING D3 to sandbox every single last reroll exploiter? Second, since the fix won't be coming down the pipe any time soon, what if a new recruit to your alliance finds that he/she is unable to keep up and decides to use the reroll exploit to add enough 4 star.png to improve the roster? Are you going to keep daily screenshots of member rosters and ask how they improved so quickly?

Not picking on you in particular, but since you ARE a commander it's something for you to chew on. (Thankfully I'm not a commander and can simply keep my head down and focus on grinding pves. icon_mrgreen.gif )

I'm sympathetic to D3/Demiurge because the problem may lie w/ ios platform, and Apple could be pretty restrictive compared to Google or Steam. Again, if the fix was easy it would be done by now. The publisher is losing a ton of sales revenue due to the reroll exploit, and will probably lose a hefty portion of the playerbase as well. Ouch.

The re-roll exploit is due to client-server sync issues (which basically goes back to the fact that you can't keep a constant data connection running to the server, particularly for a mobile device game - the excess data charges would be astronomical). The potential fixes, as far as I can figure, would be very inconveniencing to the playerbase though. One fix would be to take away the ability to play on multiple devices, and lock accounts to a single device only, and I can see people getting annoyed by that too.

As others have pointed out, this is a contradictory statement. Either cheaters are removed completely, or they're given a second chance.

You're using semantics to misrepresent. The above has already been explained twice. Insert an "or" if you like. The end result is the same. Exploited goods are removed.

I'll see if I can provide harder numbers, but, (as already explained) the number of players who have exploited is VERY tiny compared to the huge MPQ playerbase. Rampant speculation in the forums isn't helping anyone.

They were both your statements, so you probably should have added the "or". The clarification is nice and appreciated. I agree that rampant speculation isn't helping anyone and that rampant speculation could be dispelled by informative, concise posts from D3 of Demiurge. Not everything needs to be dispelled, as you can't please everyone, and there are business reasons for not providing answers to every question. Would it just be easier if we provided a list of questions that you could just go thru and provide a response, even if that response is that you can't answer that question? Fight4thedream already wrote up a list of questions and a few people did agree that it was a good list. Maybe you could start there.

Keep practising, then maybe we'll see your siggy at t1 for a new char release one day.

I play on multiple computers on steam. So yeah, very inconvenient to lock in this manner, especially if your device breaks down. icon_e_confused.gif

I don't feel like outspending Viralcore for heals. He took first, I took third In Heart of Darkness (Ghost Rider debut). Not worth paying more $$$ in heals to get an extra cover on top of the 3 I got. icon_mrgreen.gif As long as I get my 3 colors, I'll be happy. icon_cool.gif

    1. Yes, I am trusting D3 to do sandbox/rollback every exploiter because that's what they said they'd do. How they decide who deserves what, is up to them. I just want it done quickly before the rest of the community suffers; placement rewards is based on waterfall so the cheaters are stealing covers, iso and hp from other players.
    2. My alliance has a 'no man/woman/child left behind policy,' no one will ever have to cheat to catch up.

re: health packs... I am by no means a PVE specialist but I have a legit oml and ss, both with true healing, I haven't used a hpack/boost in PVE for quite some time; which again just underscores the advantage 5* rosters give and the necessity to remove cheaters from the system.

Just curious as to if this has been fixed yet or not?
