Phantron wrote:Patch is always going to be the best goon plowing machine out there simply because goons don't get to match tiles which negates the biggest drawback to Berserker Rage. If you have 5 in red in Patch, he doesn't need to own too many tiles to do serious damage. I did 8000 damage with a level 90 Patch in the double shots tournament when he controlled all the tiles. Even half of that is generally overkill on most realistic situations.
Yeah, Patch will always have a place as a Goon clearing machine. With regards to owning too many tiles, my comments were referring to just getting him to own green/red. My punisher is currently maxed out right now for instance, so my Patch would need to be level 125 before he can start to outmatch the Punisher.0 -

Jeez, thats ridiculously casual. I'm sitting at 34k, top 10 is mostly 20k-21k, with a guy at 25k and one at 30k.
I must be in a very competetive main bracket then... Top 3 are all over 30K (Uradorkydork, tonzil, Squats) What I don't understand is Squats has noone on his roster. 77 Thor, 50 M.Storm, and 40 **IM35 are his best heroes. I must be missing something on how he could have anywhere over 30K. He doesn't even have Loki to do the locked events???
30K does not even get you into the top 10 in my main bracket. Sitting on 31K and just hanging on in the top 10 sure picked the wrong time to join0 -

I haven't maxed out any of my 3*s. They more than able to take down teams at level 100-115. It would be nice to have 200K iso to max them all out, but it's not necessary.0 -
I'm in 2nd in main, 2nd in hard and 31st in my easy brackets. Hopefully I'm not working a 15 hour day today and I can play a bit.0

My mistake, my comment referred to the idea that Patch needs to be one of the highest level characters in your roster in order to have him match tiles for best there is. If you have a maxed leveled 3*, this means you need to max Patch out as well. If your highest leveled character is 100 on the other hand, you only need to get Patch to that level in order for him to be good, but you need to keep his levels up with the max leveled character on your team so that he keeps his tiles.0 -

I've been trading top spots with Uradorkydork in my Hard Mode bracket. #3 is about 8000 behind us.0 -
Okay, Sandstorm. I want to use you. I Mistressed so hard and finally I am ready!
Unleash your raw power. Here, let me place some extra critical tiles myself.
Help me bring down that whale of a Ragnarok with his 9k health faster, please!
Here we go... 7 criticals placed...
*insert 10 seconds of intense flashing*
WHAT? 2 634 damage?
Okay I get it, game, my damage output is ridiculous xD I don't have extra covers, so stfu!

Depends on your roster. Again, if you ever want to have Patch as a main player for your future team, you need to max him out. According to the iso calculator on the forums, it takes 42k iso to level a 3* from 15 to 75, and 130k to level a character from 75 to 141: relatively speaking, you're only 1/4th of the way to maxing him, so I wouldn't worry about having "wasted" the iso on him. Again, it depends on whether or not you want him to be a core part of your roster in the future: if you commit to Patch, you need to commit to him all the way and make that push. I would say that for someone who is just transitioning into 3*s, going all in on Patch is a good proposition since he instantly adds a lot of power to the team, and it doesn't take too much iso to get him to a point where he's matching all your tiles. For someone who already has a solid 3* roster, its going to take ~100-150k iso to get him up to a point where he will start matching your tiles, and thats an awful lot to invest into a character before they become playable.
Only a 1/4 the way in? I feel better already. Patch is being put in the toybox until I finish leveling the 3* team I already started with GSBW (5/3/5). Patch really has no place in that team and I am really glad you pointed out what an investment he is. I really had overlooked that and was being shortsided. Perhaps next time I will consult the forum BEFORE going to town on the "Raise Level" button. lol. Thank you for the sound advice.0 -
hurcules wrote:I defeated the Hard Sim4 mission at Level 217 without Spidey. Here's what I did:
Put in L85 OBW (5/5/3 - yeah, not ideal) / L85 C. Storm (5/5/3) / L25 Loki (2 blacks, 0 purple). Used All Colour Stockpile, Blue + Purple Stockpile, and +20% boost against mutants.
Once game started, matched as much blue matches as possible to get C. Storm to unleash windstorm on Daken (and thus stunning him). Then just concentrate Blue, Purple, Green and Black matches while targeting Magia. Leave Daken last. Blue to unleash more Wind Storm on Daken and heal when necessary, Purple for stealing AP by OBW, Green for clearing board, Black to turn strike tiles to protect tiles by Loki. Loki is crazy buffed this round. His Max HP went from 993 to 4148, over 300% buffed.
Thanks for the tips. Was banging my head against the wall how to crack this mission when I only have a 2blue spidey.
Was dicey for a bit, but once being able to use Loki black on a pair of magia threaten tiles was able to cruise into a safe completion.0 -

I am fighting with squats in my hard bracket for #1 and I too am surprised by the amount of points he has put up with that team. He's earned over 26k of those points in Hard mode.0 -

If you're pushing for Patch to have control of more tiles (your build is 5 red, yes?), then keep leveling him up so that he owns more tiles. I know some people here have stated they have deliberately stopped leveling their Hulk just so that Patch can own the green tiles. Patch's regen at high levels will let him act as an interim tank while you get your Hulk up to fighting weight, too.
Oh yeah! His awesome regen! That's a good point! I can definitely use him until I find that black Hulk Cover. As soon as he shows up as a guarantee in the featured pack I am dropping HP like it is going out of style until I get it!
This is exactly why I come to this forum = so many experts in one place! Thanks so much!0 -

Will enemies begin next round at the same level they are right now, after lvling up?
If so, this PVE that started great (compared to the previous ones) will turn into s*
That dinosaur is at 225 already, and I am scared of dinosaurs...
I can't beat most of levels on hard more already, normal mode following the same path.
Please start levels over again, I want some grind rewards please.
Thumbs up for the never-leveling-ups, harder progression instead.0 -
Are stack resets on a per node basis? i.e. If I farm a single node, does that mean it will take 12 more hours for every node that I didn't farm to replenish or will the unfarmed ones still replenish as normal?0

What's the difference between "stack" and "node" here? I assume a node means one spot on the map. What do you mean by stack?0

A stack is the number of times you can beat a mission before it starts giving you only 1 point.0 -
Cool. Thnx.
Edit: Is there any way to know how much more time a stack has to reset or a node has to reset until it's full? Or even what stack you're looking at for a particular node?0
