Does anyone know how many total alliances exist? I'd like to know what this represents as a percentage of the total community.

Typically, there are 20,000-25,000 alliances that are in a season. Of those a large portion would be super casual alliances with less than 10 people.

Just wondering though, wouldn't it make more sense to use the top 100 PVE alliance list to see how well PVE alliances deal with Galactus?

And Galactus was a real pain, but it looks like a good 40% of the PVP alliances have completed it.(I'd expect the PVE alliances to do a lot better.) That's a LOT better than the first Ultron run if I recall correctly.

Well, I know we've got a full 20, and we're on round 5. Kinda sucks that no one even treats it as if players like us exist.

While we may not have liked this event all that much (fun concept if it wasn't for the fact that 3 turn deaths take up almost 1/3rd of your health packs), CareBearStare just reached 0 on round 8 and sent the purple planet eater packing. Great job to each and every member for working together and coming up with effective strategies and teams for various level of rosters.

There were 18890 alliances counted as of Black Vortex PVP. Not sure if the PVE/PVP counts are different.

There isn't a PVE list, unfortunately. Part of the issue is that there aren't PVE Seasons, and no one's taken the time to collate a PVE top 100 for a single event.

I was wondering how the PVE top groups were doing, but in all honesty, Ultron and Galactus-type events STRONGLY favor having a PVP-built roster since the enemies are at a set level and do not scale, and you need to be able to win really fast. Softcapping is suboptimal here. (So I expected PVE-only groups to do worse.)

As far as tactics: Lots of force quitting 6&7, 8 went a bit smoother.

The top pvp alliances are better than the top pve alliances. Any new release event that the pvp alliances play in reflect this. Some do both always some don't.

The other top pve alliances mostly Merc to stay on top. So it's not the same players

I agree that the PvP top 100 is more appropriate for this list because of the event parameters. However.
