    It seems I managed to get into 3rd group, but my nickname is written wrong on the list. I hope it won't cause a problem. Just a reminder then. My in game name is the same as my forum name. Less confusion.

    I missed two, blade which I swapped for Hood (edited the post even) and torch 2* (I said cStorm). If the 4 showed here were used as criteria... Oh boy.

    I was far too clever for my own good. I took a risk on 1* spudey, since he is both new and exciting and insanely popular. But he is probably too new, so no one has him built yet, and people just went with workhorses storm/im35 instead.

    Also went with obw over the mediocre 2* marvel. I guess I don't have a sense of 2* PvP play in the game currently.


    More on topic: the list is pretty interesting. Weekly boosters dominate in 2* and 3*, suggesting that demiurge got what they wanted with that mechanic.

    Boosting seemed less important in 1* and 4*, where availability is more significant. People use xforce because lots of people have him and he is still pretty good. Very interesting that Jean grey saw so much use, despite being so new. Suggests that she might be about to become the new top dog of 4* land. And in 1* land people use the first two characters they get because a large chunk of 1* players are new and those are the only two leveled characters.

    I'm shocked that Blade was used more than Hood. I beat up dozens of Hoods during this even but I think I only beat up a single Blade.

    I had the opposite experience. I was seeing LThor/Blade teams everywhere until I got past 1000, when I started seeing Jeanbusters.

    Some tinykitty thought it would be funny to use blade and hood, maxed.. Ai thought nightalker was a good idea.. many times.. took forever to match damage down hood that blade had 10 strikes tiles and hit his attack tiles by the time i had hood down (used skills on XDP to avoid his passive).. only non 4* match i lost that round..

    I may have to try that next time. how about 0 ap the entire match, yah fun right?

    Wow, can't believe I was one of the lucky eight. I ended up changing three of my choices after playing a little bit and seeing what was out there (OBW to Ms. Marvel; Iron Fist to Blade; Hawkeye to IM35). It was a coin flip for me between Blade and Hood. It was always one or the other paired with Thor. Great contest!

    And if anyone is curious, I'm going with a Hulkbuster redflag.png as my cover. He's my closest 4* to being usable, 2/5/1 right now.

    Insanely jealous.. i came soo close, that would have been my cover choice as well, i am sitting at 1/5/3!

    When will rewards be sent? I got 6 correct answers, but my name in the results was misspelled. My in-game name is the same as my forum name.

    Hopefully the devs will see this post on their own and correct their prize list, but I would recommend PMing IceIX if you don't get rewards (or contacted for your in-game name) once everyone else has.

    Note: I don't think anyone's gotten prizes yet. Some people can't play right now due to a bug, so that's probably stealing attention from the contest results.

    This was cool and really interesting. I'd really like to see more stats posts, even if the stats are something trivial.

    I'm really surprised that JG was up there with HB. I wonder if she got a boost from being new so people were using low level JG against seed teams just to check her out or was there really that many whaled JG's at the top end.

    My biggest miss was OBW at the 2* level. I'm shocked that not only was she not top 2, but not even on the list.

    I knew I should have swapped Hood for Blade but I whiffed on both 1*'s anyway so I still would have missed out, I chose:

    4* - IMHB, XF
    3* - Thor, Hood
    2* - Storm, Torch
    1* - BW, Jugg

    I expect most of the Jean users were newish players using 1-2*s and excited by the new character boost. Lots of them around. When antman was new I also saw tons of him with 1-2* players.

    Obw normally sees a lot of use, but this pvp deadpool has a great purple even as a loaner, so she got sent to the back of the class.

    Contest idea: this very same format, the two most used of each rarity, but for an entire weekly buff rotation set of pvp events.

    Not always the very same duo because of some synergy issues/combos with a different featured character on each event so the outcome could be slightly different than what was done here.

    2) Guess the name of the pvp this has been done multiple times by our own forummite.

    3) Best picture using the in game graphics, create the nicest/ most funny picture.

    4) Most funny meme create the most funny meme dialogue between specific characters.

    Guessing the name of the PvP might be fun but this could go terrible. Either someone has inside information then posts that info somewhere. People read the posts and copies the answer, you have tons of winners. Or no one wins at all since it could be so broad.

    You should do this contest again but with the Shield Simulator, or an event with no powered up characters. Powered up characters kind of made this too easy!
