I recall a recent mention of a new X-Man (or X-Woman) coming up. Give us a hint for us to over analyze into oblivion?

To tell the truth, if the level scaling isn't going to change anytime soon, might I propose a special "HP boost" for PVE only?

My combined hitpoints of all my heroes are less than 7000. The Dark Avengers that I face have a combined hitpoints of over 20,000. Even with boosts I am already dead in less than 3 minutes of playing time. Those who managed to scrape through most likely has Spidey to stunlock and heal. I do not have that to help me at all.

An X-Person is in the pipe, but I said that earlier. Umm... R48 lays the groundwork for a feature that we're planning on making bigger as the game grows. And no, it's not respeccing. Which makes my 5/3/5 Thor cry.

Really? In my bracket, only 2 of top 10 players have rosters could be called ‘fairly powerful'. The other 8 players' characters are around lv50 or lower. I don't know what level of opponents they face, but clearly not 230s, and definitely won't take 10 minutes to finish.

Is it possible for you to give us 1 more hint about the new character? I was wondering if you might be able to tell us their supposed role, tank support attack etc etc?

The top person in my bracket, reaching 10K points soon, does have an unfair advantage of an easier time.

His/her roster is:
IM level 50
C Storm level 12
Wolverine level 30
GSBW level 27
Hawkeye level 9
Spider-Man level 25 (purple cover only)
IW level 30
DD level 15

I myself still stop complaining since it's not productive, but will try to grind til 10K to get the DD purple cover, since red is almost a guarantee unless lots of players make a last day effort to rake in the points.

Hi IceIX, when you were saying about the new tournament type, i assume it's not this heroic lightning round, isn't it?

Nope. Half the tech was used for the buy-in Tourney (the anteing part) and the other half for an Event that hasn't started yet. Don't get too excited over that bit of news, it's a cool (to me) flip of some current mechanics, but nothing "new new".

I was just thinking about x-men who could fit into the utility / damage category.

Imagine all the possibilities with rogue.... Sheesh.
Stun a teammate. Steal their single attack power and use it as as aoe.
Steal ap from enemy.
3rd power / passive - when rogue steals 20 ap of any color deals aoe damage. 25% damage done to team mates.


Or like 50,000 other things. She would be a fun 1 I think.

Ah I see, but thanks for the answer. I guess a flip in some mechanics and other event is better than nothing at all. Hopefully you guys fix the level 230's scaling by the time we have the next event.

Just out of curiosity, how many people are participating in the event vs how many are actually at 40,000 points and up?

I'm anticipating Emma Frost: is a mutant/X-men, is part of Osbourne's (I probably mis-spelled that) group in Dark Reign, could possibly be damage/utility, is a villain (last 2 new characters were heroes).
