    With the assortment of usable characters in this Heroic: Dark Avengers I've enjoyed it more than most any other Heroic event since I started playing this game. I have a heavy-hitting team that I like (and use outside of this event), which can take care of the high level nodes and a fun, under-covered 3* team that can waltz through the trivial nodes. I think I enjoy any event that lets me screw around with badly underdeveloped, 3* characters.

    While my taco tokens haven't appeared to be as lucky as what others here have mentioned, I'll choose to just believe that it means that I'm due icon_e_smile.gif

    Good day so far, finished top 2 in pve sub. Managed a t25 in Smashback with a lucky snipe on the first slice, 2 shulk and the event token rendered a redflag.png Porn-Lord! Unusually good day, worried about tomorrow now...

    Best moment of the day is coming to forum seeing the hp suck vision cover from davemite. It is awesome

    Logged in today to see Mystique's black cover for Deadpool Daily! Yay! That'll let me cover max her to 3/5/5... that's 2 cover maxed characters in my roster now! (Daredevil is my first, then Mystique, if I can get one more Groot Yellow, he'll be my third).

    reached 1k in pvp for the hulkbuster cover. however getting the cover was not the best moment of the day. the best moment was when i broke with habit and realized that i did NOT have to shield afterwards, and i left myself unshielded for the rest of the event. thanks to mpq my alliance is now 100% casual, we simply no longer give a phuc! and this best moment was a gift that kept on giving as i saw my score plummet drastically from attacks and i wasnt bummed about losing points at all. oh to be free!

    True, if you don't need or want the placement rewards, and progression was the goal, why not redistribute the points afterwards! Points for everyone! lol

    I've gone casual in PVE and trying a little bit harder at PVP now that DDQ has helped me to expand my roster strength, and I'm having fun in the game again because of the freedom! Being in an Alliance that shares your goals and gets along great helping each other out adds tremendously to the enjoyment of the game.

    Seeing an enemy Hulkbuster match a Daredevil Ambush trap.png that downed him and imagining what that would look like in a live action setting. HB only had 7 health left so it was massive overkill and a sort of "waste" of the trap, but I'd pay good money to see that in a movie some day.

    On a side note, have you watched the DD series on Netflix.. man DD gets his everything kicked so often they need to de-classify him as a superhero and just add him to the list of punching bags

    I did enjoy the first season, not too sure of his costume in the last episode, but I did enjoy the series thus far. Now I have to check out Arrow... any other suggestions that are on Netflix?

    Arrow and Flash are both great.. very different vibes, but great. If you haven't watched Supernatural, Netflix will let you catch up.

    it may be old and cheesy, but it is actually a good story, and a decent DD in it as well. Streamable on Hulu and some other platforms right now.

    ok, had to post this. after some wild swings in smash back matches (some a breeze and I wiped for the first time in a month or so in pvp), I struggled to 600 (used all my resources - characters and health packs) and shielded at rank 65 or so with abt an hr left (during my lunch). came back after event end and found 2 defensive wins and the post-event tile says I finished 50th icon_e_surprised.gif . haven't got my awards yet but that would be awesome to get the extra iso and hp icon_e_biggrin.gif

    DDQ, always and every day. Short, not overly difficult,excellent effort for reward offset. I wish all events were like this.

    My GSBW was 2/3/1 forever. Then her purple was the reward last week. When I completed the RC node, I got a purple GSBW cover from the token.

    Obviously I'm going to try and get her to 5/3/5 someday, so there's still lots of covers to go, but at least she's not "just" around to use her little handgun as CD/special tile clean up duty when I do need to bring her in.

    My other moment was getting my 5th Green cover on Squirrel Girl in the DDQ recently, then seeing her boosted for the Dark Avengers event.

    Dropping four CD tiles, each generating AP as a passive (with the potential to damage + cascade), followed by what amounts to four Speed Shots on steroids? Yes please.

    The annoying part about the 2* Essentials is that it's been characters that have 3* version. There is no reason to have a 2* Captain America once you have a covered 3* Steve Rogers, same with Thor. So is next PVE going to have 2* Daken? Maybe they'll just have 1* Storm!

    I agree they need to have it be any 'version' of the character for the Essentials... but I think you have the wrong thread my friend! Feel free to follow up with your Best MPQ moment of the day today!

    I'll have to say mine was the most recent Loki lightning round. I took Prof X and Quicksilver (shut up I love that pair and I hope it never changes), and my first Loki board scramble put up two match 5's and got the ball rolling. I might invest into Loki instead of IF for that pairing next time.

    Last night I finally joined the HB pvp, just to maybe get the 300 token and lucked into a baby bracket. 21 people with 3 hours to go. Played to 300 off of surprisingly high point easy matches and quit with no shield. This morning? 65th place. Sweet.

    Against level 200+ Juggs and Venom, a first-turn cascade worth 67 AP (4 are from a purple/blue boost). I thought I took a screenie of my crazy turn-two victory, but it seems to have vanished.

    Well you know the saying "When it rains, it pours"?

    i had a pretty excellent MPQ day yesterday. icon_e_smile.gif

    First, i got the pink Dr. Doom cover in DDQ to finally cover max the good doctor 5/5/3. Since i had a bunch of tacos stored up, i decide to try my luck and see if i couldn't pull another pink Dr. Doom cover. i open the firs taco and low n' behold a 4* blinking cover!?!

    But wait a second....you can't get 4* characters in MPQ silly rabbit..holy moly 1000HP! Nice! i took it as a sign that i had the lucky touch so i quickly ate through the rest of my tacos hoping for that pink cover...

    2*Daken...don't need....
    2* Storm....*memories of MNMags/Storm ultra offense force transition days* sorry
    2* Thor...nope
    2* moonstone....thanks but no thanks.....

    After going through probably half the 2* cast, i finally reached my last taco. Last chance! Come on pink Dr. Doom of Love cover, come on! i open the taco....and.....

    it's another 2* emblem....oh :/

    but when i open it up it's 250HP!!!Woohoo!! i just netted 1250HP!!

    *brain goes into calculation overdrive*
    1250 X 2 = 2500HP
    and 2500HP = nice new IMHB red cover....

    i was at the time sitting at 965 points in the Smash Back event still shooting for the red cover. Would've have already made it had i not been poked to death by the Kingpin when fighting a dude running maxed IMHB, Prof X and the fat man. i was still determined to go for the 1000 progression reward but with my IMHB at 2/3/2 i knew i wasn't all that intimidating.

    Since i was basically handed half the amount for a 4* cover, sitting on a small stockpile of HP and remembering the bitter tears i shed having chased 4hor covers for 5 months only for her to be nerfed when i was just in reach of maxing her, i broke my "no cover buying" policy and decided i was going to enjoy the IMHB train for as long as i could.

    Sure he may be nerfed someday (hopefully later than sooner) but ce'st la vie.

    So with my first bought cover, i restored confidence in my sails and was able to break the 1000 point progression barrier and acquire another IMHB red progression cover bringing him to 4/3/2. (yes, i probably could have done it without buying a new cover but the next time IMHB red comes around in pVp will probably be in a month or so and that will be a rank 1 award. Not even going to go into how crazy that event will be lol)

    And my blue Vision progression award in pVe was the sprinkles on top.

    So basically i walked away with four usable covers! Like i said "When it rains, it pours"! haha
