    More of a massive headache to change them. Character changes have never affected existing TUs, they still have the old power, so I doubt this will affect existing TUs either. You may have a short lived advantage with your 395 Supernovas but they will be used up and phased out anyway putting everyone on equal ground.

    I love this new team up policy! Every day I'm given more and more reason, heck even given the dev's blessing, to skip most PvEs including all Heroics and The Guantlet too! And with these changes also comes much less need and compulsion to buy HP too. My money like many others has stayed in my wallet during this sale as I increasingly just become a guy who earns his 2500 iso come season 10 pack time and who plays the Deadpool daily if it's somebody I need. Knowing I can skip the next 20 reruns of The Hunt and Prodigal Son are a real load off my mind!

    TL:DR version:
    Devs, is there a single damn thing in this game that's good for the player that you aren't searching for a way to ruin?

    Team-Ups scale up to a player’s average level when receiving a Team-Up from a player.

    Anyone else holding onto some level 1 one-stars currently? They're going to start dragging down your team ups.
    Also, underleveled two, three and four stars will do the same thing. Might need to start spreading out the iso further - and ditching the one-stars. Oh, wait, they're needed for the Deadpool Daily Quest. Ummmm.......

    ....can I get a dev-check in here? My r73 patch seems a little weird.

    I think the average level is based on a set number of your top characters. I have all the characters in the game, not all leveled and a handful of base level teamups, and I've been getting level 154 tus.

    when are you gonna fix the 24 hrs shield bug????? that seems way more important than those minor fixes than nobody cares and its there since cooldonw have beeen implemented..

    So wait, last time they referred to month as having a shapeshifter and a telepath. The telepath was clearly Professor X - is the shapeshifter the next character? When they refer to chaotic qualities of speed, crime, and brute force, are those April's two characters?

    We'll see, I suppose.

    Sooo let's continue not address or fix the intense PVE scaling and instead lower the level of the TU's we fought hard to win? When I beat a level 200 Ares, I should be able to earn a level 200 Ares TU, otherwise how about making PVE enemies at our average level!
  • Ignoring the fact that level 200 Ares TUs are worthless, I don't care that they are hard capping them at normal character level. 80% of my TUs come from my alliance anyway since the drop rates are so bad, and so many of the PvE TUs are worthless. This only has a marginal impact on TU effectiveness and an overall positive effect on PvP I think since everyone will be equal footing, no ones bringing in a 395 supernova for an easy win that isn't available to a portion of the players.
  • I don't notice that it has been mentioned in here, but if my level 395 teamups showing up as level 500 and something (not sure of the actual level, as I am not where I can check) in the scaled PvP is any indication, that may be what they are attempting to correct with this change. Still not a fan, though, as I treat those 395's as trophies (or last resorts)

    The exact formula is: the average level of your best 4 characters. So you can hold on to your 1-stars.

    The ones you've already earned will stay at whatever level they are.

    Future Team-Ups you earn will be capped at 40/50/78/94/166/270, depending on the character, yeah.

    There were some questions earlier in the thread about why we're doing this.

    In a few cases, those Giant-Size Super-villain Team-Ups were causing balance issues (including allowing people to get through fights much more easily than you'd expect from their team, and encouraging people to farm repeatable missions for high-level Team-Ups, both of which create more of those 300+ enemies for more players).

    We knew we needed to take them out (for the health of Story events and the balance of the game more generally), but when we can (and we can't always), we like to replace something we're removing with a positive addition. In this case we were planning systems that made Team-Ups significantly stronger for most players, so we decided to make those changes at the same time.

    Now you're getting much better Team-Ups from your alliance mates, both by scaling their level up to your team and by taking away the penalty for sending your best characters.

    Scaling down the team-ups kinda makes sense, but man it was fun earning those super powerful ones after taking out a really hard team.

    I do think the change overall takes a fun element out of the game for me, and I hope devs reconsider... if you feel like carrying that feedback to them at all.

    You guys are just throwing things against the wall and seeing what sticks, aren't you? Apparently you guys don't think about how things will affect playability before you actually do them. So you intend us to play events with horribly overscaled enemies. Okay. But now you take away the potential usefulness of teamups we get, making the game that much harder. Great job, guys.
