    so im guessing

    36 24 24
    24 12 12

    I think actually:

    Alaska: 36 (36) 36 (12)
    Florida: (12) 36 (24) 36 (12)
    Savage Land: (36) 24 (36) 24

Where numbers in parentheses are closed times and the others are open.

Edited, but I'm still not sure that's right. We'll know better in about 24 hours or so.

I made a thread a little while ago about Legendary characters deserving legendary introductions. At the very least, there should be NEW story content for these guys. It's so utterly terribly lazy of the devs. Putting all their effort into pumping out character after character with no worthwhile plot or lore to accompany them.

Professor X is one of the most powerful, influential and loved characters in the MCU, and this is the intro he gets. The tinykitty Hunt.

For Elektra, they had the new Enemy of the State event after her release for when she was an essential. Maybe there's a chance that Professor X gets a new story after the Hunt. In some respects, it makes more sense to have the new character playable for the new event. At least we can hope...

I thought Enemy of the State was introduced for Elektras initial release and she was the inaugural rewards for it.

PX deserves a better intro than this.

    Seriously.

Considering the only legendary charcter to have story stuff is Elektra I'd much rather them use that time to not make 4* chars blow chunks

  • Top 50 is a real pain in the **** for alliances, no doubt. Forces everyone in the alliance to start early and grind hard or else everyone suffers + a lot of alliances will grind hard and not get top 50. Moving, merc'ing and disputes ahoy.

I'm also assuming that top 10 will only be achievable by people who can grind for 1.5 or 2 hours every 12 hours given overlapping subs... so that's nice for anyone who wants to have a life.

Net effect - unless you're in a devoted grinding alliance and have nothing better to do than play MPQ for most of your next week then enjoy your 1 cover.

So so true... I will hopefully grind out my one cover, as I inevitably will miss top 10 (ironic, I finished top 10 for Elektra, but only top 50 for Starlord and not even that for Thor), mostly because I like the character, but it already seems like such a waste, as he'll be essential for the next pve, where we'll get a 3* current reward, then never needed again, unless you can get 10+ covers

and have massive teams. the bracket im in the top 3 have grinded the nods to 1s since they have like 8k and its only been open for 2 hours. So when the rest of us are fighting to try to get points when the 2nd item unlocked they can take their massive teams and crush that.

Mainly if your not a pay to play or been here for a long long time dont even think about getting the 4 star.

i been here 4 months and seems im mostly done with the game
back in jan and feb my ranks were
    17-16-33-33-25
    Ranks in march i kept
    95-85-88

can see that i mostly gave up any grinding. the rewards are not worth it anymore.

Second. In fact, I pretty much hate ALL the subs in this one. Lets grind 700,000 lvl 200+ Ares/Daken/Venom/Bullseye nodes to 1 every day for a week. Weeeee! icon_rolleyes.gif
  • So when Daken is one of the 3 enemies, how do you prioritize him? Do you pop him first?

He generates the attack tile when greens drop, but the healing factor can sometimes negate a 3 color match.

I've been attacking someone else, usually Rags, then when I get a couple of powers cued up, I switch to Daken and hit him.

Just wondering what other strategies are being used since he is in every other node.

i wait till i can take him out cause of his freaking heal thing. I mean if you hit him for 150 and he heals for 125 per turn we are going to be here all day icon_e_smile.gif

My Daken strategy is usually if I can one-shot him, take him out then, if not, try to starve blue and leave him for last (if practical).

So with the alliance reward requiring the grind, for everyone else is it going to be better to just wait until the last day or so and get in a last minute bracket?
  • I think Heroic Juggs still takes the cake for worst PVE... but this one is catching up quick.
Repetitive subs, overlapping so that optimal is now every 4 hours instead of 8, and enemy teams that are pulled from the same 5 characters each time, and then the monotonous grind that just the single initial clear of some of these subs require. Count me in already for the camp of "If I win a cover, I won't feel good about it" for this PVE. I guess the smart move is to not play, but that shoudn't be what we're going for here. It could be so much better and enjoyable.

Enemy of the State has some hard stuff in it, Prodigal Sun has some nasty hard stuff...but there is variety in the opponents you face, and you don't play the same sub twice. This PVE seems to be in desperate need of an overhaul, especially now that we've been shown how good PVE can be with 8 hour refreshes.

Enemy of the State should be the template/baseline for ALL pve events. Other than kinda hating some of those Hand ninjas because they're 100% ****, I love everything about that event. An interesting storyline, challenging, STRATEGIC battles that require you to actually think about how to defeat them instead of just mindlessly grinding them down, no repeat subs, a reasonable number of nodes per sub...why can't we get more events like this that have generally positive feedback and less events like The Hunt and Heroics that as a whole the player base seems to hate?

Yeah, **** Florida. Not the whole state, mind you, just this sub. It's a good thing half the nodes are one-and-done. If those were repeatable you'd have to put the whole community on suicide watch for this event.

Just quoting this to say that pretty much everything you have here is spot on. "Oh man, it's Yelena and Venom again. And this one's got a purple feeder. Woo! Oh man, this time it's Bullseye. Bullseye and Daken. Bullseye and Daken again, this time with Venom. Oh, now it's Yelena again. Nope, back to Venom. Nope, back to Bullseye. Oh snap! Daken and Ares! Time to take a ton of damage!" It's just dangerous enough that you can take a lot of damage in almost every node, and so monotonous and boring that it's really hard to keep your concentration throughout. The overlapping subs thing is just an abomination that needs to be put down once and for all. They've acknowledged 2.5 hour refreshes probably wasn't a good idea by rolling it back to 8 hours. This event is just a backslide to the days of encouraging really self-destructive behavior from your players. Not too smart.

Except for the minor detail of 10 open brackets that are usually all stagnant and 3 days old, that is a great plan that I intend to use just in the one in a million chance that one does open after Florida closes for the second time.
