Good luck gentlemen,
Additionally, we have an update we can share regarding this issue. It has been determined that the players who had access to the event during the short time it was active had very little impact on the overall rankings and we believe there is a more than fair chance for other users to catch/pass these users on the leader boards. As such, we will not be taking any additional actions regarding this issue.
Are you kidding me I am currently in 6th, one of the guys in front of me gained over 8k in points from SY. If you took those off I would be in 5th. Unless he messes up there is no way I can make that up.
I am in no way upset at the guys that have those points. The sub was open and they cleared it. The responsibility is completely on D3 and that is a terrible response. I was planning on waiting until after the event to give them a chance to do the right thing, but bid they are already wiping there hands of it then I guess it is time to try and get IceIX or Will or Dave to help out.
So I didn't need to go and bug anybody as the person in 5th missed the sub roll over and I was able to pass them. Then it was just a matter of hitting the refreshes, didn't even need to hit the final grind all that hard just put in some extra points for the alliance.
Now it is all over and I am free, free, free at last from the tyranny of the 3 hour refresh, may we never see it again.
Congratulation to you as well Sumilea for over coming the SY handicap and taking first convincingly.
I fell into 11th as I just couldn't keep up as I ran out of health packs before clearing all the nodes being 5k down.
Being out of health packs and falling asleep during the last 4 hours was all that was needed to guarantee the loss of that place.
The 3 hour refresh rates are just horrendous and I am glad to see them go.0 -
It sure did pay of to send a note to the developers. The issue was fixed today and I got my Thor cover. It is nice to know that they take problems seriously (well, even if it is just a game). So, thumbs up from me.0

i got 23 out of 1000 and i got star lord and also out of heroic coin's i got from season X i got Thor Goddess. so lucky today. (my RL stuff stinks however)0

Amen to that, Switchman. I keep looking at the scoreboard, and I'm (a reasonably safe) #6 currently with a little over 1 hour to go, but the #1 spot is still an ongoing battle. I see you're fighting 1-2 other players and man... even looking at #1 changing constantly today was getting nerve wrecking for me so I'm partly glad I was never really up for competing for top spot.
I really, really hope you get that #1 spot. It seems like you got at least a little gap with #2-3 ATM, so hope that holds till the end. Good luck, I can only watch (in awe, from the sideline) how it will unfold but I'll keep an eye out for it.0 -
So did they ever address the point gap created by the Scotland Yard glitch?0

That really sucks that you fell out of the top 10. How far behind Adamical were you? He picked up 10k points from the Scotland Yard fiasco so if you minus 10k off of him would you finish in top ten? If so then I would send a support ticket into D3. On page 14 of this thread Lukewin documents how many points some players got from SY so you may be able to use that as ammo to show that the points gained there did affect your standings. You might even be able to get the screen captures off of Lukewin.
Again this has nothing to do with Adamical, it isn't his fault and he shouldn't be punished but anybody in shard one on the bubble for 5th or 10th should take a look at the scores.0 -
Re: SY...
Obviously they aren't under obligation to, but I hope D3 is generous and expands the rewards to compensate the slice 1 people (of which I am not a part of).0 -
I do got the screens. Was bored and interested to see what happened. It would be awesome if they extended the 3rd cover to some arbitrary number and the 2nd cover to at least 16, which is where I landed. I didn't have it in me to continue pushing. Congrats russreid91, on landing in 4 despite the SY fiasco. You kinda proved D3's point though, so in regards to that BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
I was never able to crack Top 10. That 8 hr refresh spoiled me and I am glad it will be back. I thought I had it in me to go for T5, then saw the competition (Sumilea is never a name I want to see in a bracket, Congrats, by the way). I thought S1 was one way to avoid him. Settled for T10, but then the SY fiasco killed my morale, despite getting some points. DIdn't wanna risk grinding it too hard for possible other bumps. If D3 wants to give me an extra cover, it would be pretty sweet. If I can help anyone else get a cover, I'd be willing to help0 -

I'll rue the day I wind up in Sumilea's bracket.0 -

I finished roughly 8200 points behind Adamical.
I'll send a ticket in to D3 though my confidence in their support is nil as I still have an outstanding ticket back when the Simulator ran at the beginning of the new year.
@lukewin: Would you please send me those screen captures if you still have them?0 -

I thought about that as I was playing but there wasn't anything special that I did. I played just the same way that I had been along, if the guys in front of me hadn't missed the sub cross over then I wouldn't have been able to catch them. I was all set to put in a ticket if it came to it as I still feel their response is pretty out of touch with the reality of the top grinders. As you stated, just seeing the point differential that you suddenly have to make up is psychologically demoralizing and had an affect on your playing. Their mistake and I just feel they should take a little more responsibility for it.0 -

I was Top 2 in the last PVE, mainly due to laid back bracket and 8 hr refresh. Before that, it's been a while. Hung up my competitive PVE hat a while back. Might put it back on with the 8 hr refresh.
Another idea I'd like to float. Similar in the vein of the threads with bracket count, it would be nice to know where grinders or T2 contenders are going/planning to go, so we don't have bracket saturation with grinders. Either a thread with grinders posting where they are, what slice they plan on going, etc, or just a note in the bracket count thread with what spot your goal is. I think it would be helpful info and make grinding less grind-y. Would probably bring down overall scores, but it would take some of the competition out of competitive PVE and give some newcomers a shot at taking a T2 here or there.0 -

Do you use the LINE app? I have the same forum name, LINE name and in game name.0 -
Finished top 5 in a relatively laid back slice 3 bracket (think it might have been the second bracket of that time slice, since I joined it at #500 something one day into the PvE). Ridiculously close score for top 5 though:
1. Treponem 126,339
2. Tiggida 120,694
3. Aziaol 117,298
4. Bingoringo 116,821
5. Xequalsy 115,583
6. Aquila77 115,168
Looking back at it, I never bothered to grind 3x before bedtime, or bothered grinding nodes more than once each refresh, so #1 was definitely within reach (but then again I'm sure treponem would have started grinding more- so thanks everyone else in the top 10 for this bracket for not starting an arms race of amount of sleep missed. )
Apologies to Aquila77 for jumping them by 400 odd points in the last 10 minutes though - I think I was about 3k points behind so they might have thought they were pretty safe with ~20 minutes to go on the event. Had to bust out the saved up +all boosts and grinded that low level node with 3 villains that all died to one powered up c storm windstorm a few times.0 -

Jealous. I'm at 126,067 (good for 22nd) with 5 1/2 hours left to go in my bracket. Current #1 is over 175k.0 -

Yeah, I don't expect to get such a nice bracket for the next few PvE at the very least - I pretty much skipped the last two PvE events (Squirrel Girl and LThor) so I assume this was a "low MMR" bracket. Though saying that, the top 10 was full of people in a 3-4* transition (other than me and maybe one or two others in the 2-3* transition), so I'm not really sure how this bracketing works.
Like I said though, I did skip the first day or so of the PvE, since I find I tend to always get matched up with BBBomber and a few other commonly occurring names in slice 3 who seem to join immediately, but even that shouldn't account for the 50k or so difference between #1 in our two brackets since the first sub had less points than the later ones. I guess the fact that none of us in the bracket seemed to feel the need to grind that much meant all of our scores were lower, since we didn't have to do quite as much to keep our relative positions.0 -
Got 1st, never ever want to do that again (3 hour refresh).
On to PVP, see ya later PVE!0
