I see you guys talking about how bad Florida is.... I can't play it. Alaska says "Time Left: 1d 8h UNDER ATTACK!" . Florida is shaded out and says "Time Left: 8h 3m BASE SECURE!" Savage also says base secure and is shaded, and I cannot access it.

    Am I missing something?

So our new every event fun game of try to guess when the subs run. The Hunt runs for 5.5 days or 132 hours. Subs typically run for 36 hours and overlap.

    132-96 Alaska
    120-84 Florida
96-60 The Jungle (or whatever the third one is called)
    84-48 Alaska
    60-24 Florida
    48-12 The Jungle
    12-0 Main Page???

Does that seem to line up with what is currently available in slice 1 (currently @114 hours) or recent history? Thanks.

There's no additional main nodes but I'm pretty sure the subs do not always stagger every 12 hours and there's a break somewhere in bewteen.

Initial scaling on Florida sub is way too high, 4 hours into the sub only 6 players in my bracket have competed it

Its not that bad for me did it with a couple of Health packs over 70 minute but have to admit I do currently have 12 guys dead or just about dead. Just over 12K to go for max progression reward look like I will be only doing the first 2 subs this event.

I can't even get into the Florida sub. All it's giving me is a Time Remaining countdown and a "Base Secure!" logo.

That's the countdown to let you in, iirc.

Ah, okay, thanks. I was getting confused.

When does the Florida sub start in relation to Alaska or the overall event? Thanks.

The countdown I've got going says 6 hours 53 minutes remaining.
  • Starting from beginning of event, it'd be Alaska at T = 0, Florida at T = 12H, and Savage Land at T = 1D 12H.
  • So our new every event fun game of try to guess when the subs run. The Hunt runs for 5.5 days or 132 hours. Subs typically run for 36 hours and overlap.

    132-96 Alaska - Confirmed
    120-84 Florida - Confirmed
    96-60 Savage Land - Confirmed
    72-36 Alaska
    48-12 Florida
    36-0 Savage Land

Does that seem to line up with what is currently available in slice 1 (currently @112 hours) or recent history? Thanks to Phanton for the three confirmed. The rest is just educated guesses. The interesting part is that with these assumptions, 4 of the 6 subevents end 12 hours from the chosen endtime

Ya, same. I came here because this was confusing me too. Kept thinking I had some random node somewhere I hadn't completed yet that would unlock it. This should say "starts in" not "remaining".
  • So does anyone know how many pools of 1000 they do for a time slice ?

As best we can tell, they run two concurrent pools of 1000 for each time slice, one seeded for "newbies", and one seeded for "veterans." When each pool fills, they then open up a new newbie or veteran pool. There's no upper limit to the number of pools that they might run, provided there are enough players. Usually, at towards the end of an event, you end up with a pool that's nowhere near full. For instance, in the Heroic Osborne PvE that just completed, the final veteran pool in Slice 5 ended with about 350 players in it only.

It's not clear as to how they seed into the newbie and veteran pools. It seems to be based on how highly you've placed in the past few PvE events, and not on your roster.

As many as necessary. When one is full, a new one starts, and so on.
  • Ohh alright. . So would there be a tip to try and get an unpopulated bracket.. Maybe just waiting long time before joining ?
Thanks alot for the info and quick reply morhpeus

Depends on what prize you're looking for Noots. Yes, jumping into a low bracket might be easy placement, but you can never tell(especially with the new bracket system). The only thing for certain is that hardcore grinders enter as soon as possible to secure their victories.

    Try this thread:

We post when our brackets are full there. The only thing you need to figure out is whether you're in the newbie or veteran bracket.

It's one of the downsides of competitive PvE, timing your entry into the event is actually really important.
  • Okay excellent thx guys.. i tend to always pick the last slice and usually way before the first one starts
only been lucky enough to get into a half full bracket once and that seems like ages ago
thx for the help and the point in the right direction

Is this normal for The Hunt, subs are 1000 players?

Man Florida has way too many nodes. Even though half of them are one and done that still leaves like 10 left to repeat.
