I joined the first slice since I don't care about placement this PvE and I can confirm that the subs are still 36 hours long and do overlap by 12 hours.

The only thing different I've noticed so far is that the first node in main is repeatable and worth points.

Well, it seems they made an appropriate adjustment for the new 8 hr. timers...

OK, we'll see how it goes after work has its say. I'll prob. pick my slice after the schedule goes up...may even after FFW resolves(geting that missing for would certainly help the quest for Thoress...)

3* Thor isn't in the tokens, looks like. I'd be pretty surprised if he's not in the next event's tokens, but we've never had this situation before where a vaulted character will be featured.

Maybe there will be an explanation about Thor at some point; or maybe not.

I am half guessing the rewards may have meant to have been R&G, as they have been having connected winnings across PvE and PvP a lot more recently.

On the other hand...

Perhaps it was done legitimately - "...as a result we've lined it up so that we're not testing this out on an event that rewards a new character". Maybe by "new" they meant out of rotation because for many players he is new and he is wanted by many others. The model will certainly get a work out but they have really gone against their own thing with a rotated out character as rewards. In theory, someone like Falcon, Hulk, Sentry, Spider-Man or Storm would have better fitted their described aim.

Given how desired this might end up being, if there are issues with anything, this is going to be a long long thread featuring a lot of complainingas the days go on. Thor was a risky (read: poor) choice if anything goes wrong.

Either way, once again (like so much about this game), it's the original message sort of saying something and then execution sort of going in another direction...

Let me also just point this out; I just received 86 points from a node. EIGHTY SIX. However, two of my characters had their HP almost DECIMATED by cheap, overpowered moves and seemingly endless cascades. There goes two more health packs, or several hours waiting for regen. Meanwhile, my boosted characters barely made a dent after each move.

If I wanted this much aggravation, I would go spend time with my wife.

Just finished the first node and I have to say I'm not all that impressed with squirrel girl. Granted I only have 2 covers but Luke cage boosted with two covers was a great deal more use able it seems to me. Maybe it's because I'm using her with the wrong team on the essentials but at level 133 she just seems to be a meat shield while I use the ap for other characters. MN mags polarity shift is doing more damage than nuts from above just from critical and match damage. The bigger they are is somewhat useful but gets matched away too quickly to be of long term use. Hopefully more covers will make a big difference...eventually.

I like the animation on Furry Friends, if only I had a SG green of my own. I know, I'll buy a pack of tokens and take my 4.3% chance at a SG cover none of which will be green.

But other than that, she's got a lot of health, and that's it. Not impressed so far.

I read somewhere that it's 6 clears to take a node to 1 point, so 16.7%, close enough.

Of course after a second clear the node takes longer to refresh to full points.

One good thing about the 8-hour refresh, that's plenty of time for the roster to heal and health packs to regenerate. And after that there's still time to have a go at the PvP, lightning rounds and SHIELD simulator.

Ignoring the non repeatables the first sub has 2420 points. So a couple of clears each sub will mean you get the top progression reward witch quite a bit to spare. It will be interesting to see if the rubber band been changed at all because if it has not you not see it until deep into the final refresh.
