This PvP is corrupt. I have played three matches without gaining points and rewards.

Anyone else having issues with smash hit ? I have played and won three matches but have not gained any points towards ranking total. It counts up at end of match but upon returning to main screen all points are gone ??

Oh that is a good idea. I just decided to go alliance-free and no longer worry about upping my points to make-up for other members. This is the perfect sort of event to reap the new benefits of being solo.

I figure, I will just go all out for covers i need and actually use, and no longer care about anything else in the game. If they ever add something that sounds enjoyable that requires being in an alliance, I'll put the work in to build a resume of scores and get back into one.

Hmmm, I picked my time last night before anything started, but now I'm worried that I'll be bracketed and I won't actually be home for another 6 hours and will be way far behind. Can anybody confirm whether or not choosing your time before the event start brackets you?

The only GSBW cover I need is her so I'm hoping that my inability to make top 10 works to my advantage this time. Then again, I also need Ms. Marvel's Oh the choices!

Yes, you get bracketed when you pick your end time.

Doesn't matter much though, it's no PVE where losing a few hours will set you back a few refreshes.

I'm more worried that a lot of whales and "stronger players" join early on, and I am neither of those by far. I fear the death bracket like the rabbit fears the hawk.

In, PvE the super-grinders are in from the word go, because that's the optimal way, and ensures the highest scores. It's suicide to join quickly if you don't want to play every 2:24 for 3-6 days.

In PvP, when the MPQ2K club joins doesn't matter as much, because they can get their scores almost regardless of when they join (save for the last maybe 8-12 hours or so). There's also a weird meta there where all the 1300s would like to avoid each other for 'easy' brackets, so they're playing timing games too.

In this beta, since nobody knew the rules, my guess is the brackets will be considerably more balanced than normal, because most people picked their time slice at the first available moment they could.

All matches after showed points being added and showed the 50pt progression reward threshold being passed, but neither the reward nor the event points would actuall be awarded. Didn't add points to the season score anymore either, so it's also not a matter of the event's leaderboard having become 'stuck' as we have seen a few times before.

This sucks. The one time we get a favorable end time for non-US players and the event ends up busted.
Way to go devs; was this code hacked on a +1 Keyboard of Incompetence or what?

I joined the 7pm EST slice the seed teams awarded points and any non seed team it just sits there at 71 points. Glad this counts for the season and they'll give us one single event token i.e. 250 iso as a sorry instead of the x-force, 3 covers, etc....

Garbage. Can't see rewards. Can't join a bracket at a time I KNOW without a shadow of doubt I'll be able to play consistently. This could effectively ruin this game for me and plenty of others with busy schedules.

Just hoping in too say that I played three matches last night in a 1am EST end time and got 0 points even though I won each match. I played these between 11pm and 12pm on wednesday EST time. Hopefully when the devs get into the office soon they'll start to fix it.

Update: I played one match this morning, won and got points. So it it might be 'fixed' for this event, but there might be a bug in choosing an end time events.

Also: it really sucks what the end times were. Why couldn't we choose a more precise end time? 1am is too late. midnight would have been better.

Making a game where I don't have to play at a specific time (the last hour) would be even better!
