As previously said, the main problem is the relationship between D3P and its customers.

They've stockpiled communication and marketing mistakes, and there is no confidence anymore now. Whatever they do, it's rarely considered as positive.

It will take a long time, if ever, before that status changes.

Not with someone like IceIx who thinks he knows better what's good for a player to enjoy the game. His latest comments on Google Summer Sales are appalling.

As for the sale, Ice is probably not the person to decide which platform to strike a deal with, and anyway it sounded like it was Google who approached them and offered to participate in the sale, it's not like Ice can just demand to have an iOS sale out of the blue. I rarely feel the need to defend Ice, but he really has nothing to do with iOS users not having a sale at the time.

It only took a minute to operate a sale on the other platforms, the way they do on other occasions. That way, everyone would have been happy.

Some players asked for it here, they were not listened to.

The new price on HP makes it more appealing to invest on one's roster.

Taking down servers for maintenance is different from unintended outage.

Wasn't there an outage at the end of Season 1? Pretty sure that was in the last 6 months.

This sale is a Google promotion and is for multiple things within the Android market not just MPQ. Just like the Steam Summer Sale that happened recently where Steam offered discounts on multiple products they sell. This isn't D3 only offering a discount to certain players. If Apple ever offered a discount on anything this way, then iOS users would get the discount where Steam and Android users wouldn't.

As a support tech lead in RL I can tell you there is not much worse than an unintended outage to ruin your day. It doesn't just end when you get it back up, then you have the fun of a root cause analysis, placating the non-IT managers who just want it fixed NOW while the CAB board wants to know why you restarted a service without first submitting a 48hr request to do so in triplicate written in the blood of a newborn child.

THEN you have to appease Lord Cthulhu before he rises and destroys a city because he had to take an extra long lunch break due to the outage.... We all know he just watches youtube in his office and never works, so what the hell does he have to complain about anyway!!!!


Hmmm got off topic there. My thoughts are with you guys , hopefully it will be sorted out soon.

One last thing guys, Devs don't fix servers... They just write bad code that high tier support has to fix . Give your IT Support team a hug, it's probably the only human interaction they will get this year that doesn't involve users and knives

I'm on Android, so I am not affected. I am not talking just for the sake of preserving my own interests you know

Each time there was a sale, I made stocks. But I know guys on iOS who would have liked to buy HP to max Deadcool. They probably won't.

That's D3P's loss.

Server seems to be back up.

And yes, first thing I did was to shield. I wasn't about to hit anyone as the game has been down for too long and wouldn't be fair in my opinion.
