    Had one of my alliance mates lined up earlier for a nice 43 point boost. First turn the AI got a five blue match, turn after than it was sitting on 16 yellow, 10 green, and 11 red ... I ran away rather than get annihilated. It was all over in 30 seconds icon_lol.gif

    I saw that! I thought you were trying to supplant me. I feel bad for the guy cameo whos been shield hopping and shielding since day 1 and is now out of top 5.

    I have Bugpop in a node at the moment, and he/she seems to be active since the score is fluctuating in the Alliance rankings. Could someone let me know if Bugpop puts up a shield?

    You might have a bit of a battle on your hands. Our top 10 is somewhat hilarious to me considering some of the death brackets out there. top 5 all going to be over 1100 it seems like and then 10th is currently 850. I suppose we could have some later risers pass that, but for it to be that low this late seems really low to me.

    My goal at the beginning of this was 1100 (I needed the 5th yellow to respec) and top 5, I only just now hopped again to give a cushion on top 5 and I hate to roll the dice on the last 5-6 minutes, I always get hit.

    edit: forgot the obligatory - shielded til (most likely) the end, so hit me if you've got me, I'm at 1200 so might be some juicy points for many of you. Also sauce - I forgive you for hitting me a couple times on one of my shield hops earlier icon_e_smile.gif (was a little upset at the time, but whatever it's a game, I got over it). My team is woefully terrible on defense and I was likely worth a decent amount of points.

    Gotta love it when top 5 is all over 1300 points. I made it to 1299 and then helpfully got a defensive win of 5 points. Props to those who do this regularly; it is a pain and I am not doing it again anytime soon.

    Ugh. Just wanted top 25. Hit 17 with 1 minute to go... The timer ticks down to no time left... And I think "no need to spend 75hp for twenty seconds."
    Yeah... 75hp for another ms. Marvel cover sounds like it'd have been worth it.

    spoit - easy climb into top 5 huh? Thanks for not taking 1st as I'm sure you probably could have icon_e_smile.gif. Turns out my alliance needed all my points from my shield hop anyway, top 100 by 39 points, I'm sure my last fight against mr. bastard's son was worth that much, glad I pushed on and did it.

    I broke my shield with 4 minutes left to fight a hard 43 point battle, even used up my last legacy +3 all AP booster, in addition to 3 new +1 to all, and 3 +1 to green/black. It should've put me in top 10, guess I wasn't the only one with that idea. Well, at least I got the 50HP progression reward.

    Desperate people playing a desperate game. I mistimed the end of the event with my shield, decided to make a go of it and got cascaded to tinykitty with my last good team after oscorp, gave it up as a lost cause and shielded again, only to discover in the 5 minutes I spent unshielded I got a defensive win that more than made up what I lost.

    Out of healthpacks anyway, and then high-30 point losses to maxed 3* teams started dinging off my shield like the carol of the bells, how many people go into an event early and wait to the last hour to climb anyway?

    Last 10 minutes, I finally had enough healthpacks to heal Sentry and OBW and tried another push. Won twice, and won two more defensive victories. Spent the last minute twiddling my thumbs and waiting to see reports of 100-point losses, but nothing happened.

    Frightful. Sad I had to spend so much on shields, but at least I have carol's black in the bag and the hp progression at 800 points. I'm a bit boggled - I wiped out more times this event than I have ever done in any two events before, but I may actually have received as many points from defensive wins as lost from attacks, or close to it. Very strange.

    Got home early to see that I had fallen to 8th. I wasn't going to spend hp, but decided to break shield at the end for top 5. Sorry stroker.

    yeah, this event is brutal. Was out all weekend and finally began climbing. Pushed for 1100 only to come out to ocer 130 pts in losses and out of healthpacks so I had to shield up. Hopefully top5 is not 1200 but monz, coolbond, qtquazar and a few others I recognized are waiting below. With pve ending too, it will be a battle of attrition.

    I'm just shooting for top 5 in our bracket. I just hit 1101, which passed you originally, then saw you shoot up past 1200! That was damn fast!

    yeah, my 3rd and last 3hr shield I hit 3 xmen who helped me jump 130+ points. I could have done a 4th fight but wanted to save the healthpack for pve.

    Lol, I think it was a combination of going in against stronger enemies at less than full health and then getting bloody cascades out of nowhere - my boards have been very volatile, though I've also benefited from that a few times.

    I didn't play much this event and not many people attacked me either, but most of the losses were to my 2/2/2 Sentry+2*Wolvie/OBW, later one to Loaner/LCap/OBW and one to Sentry/Punisher/IM40 and the final 2 to Sentry/2*Thor/OBW.

    I kept expecting to plummet down the rankings every time a popup "You were attacked!" came up, but instead they pushed me past 2 progression rewards at different times.

    Ended up in #12 entirely by accident, you might say. I was just hoping to get in top 25 or not fall out of top 50.

    Edit: I should say, if not for timely shields, the zombie hordes would have me in a hole so far down you couldn't see me with a telescope. Hp well spent, even if I really wanted to save that for my roster slots.

    An OBW team got me earlier today. I was happy not to see Hood or Daken and did not pay enough attention to how much purple she had. She's dangerous.

    If this is what we get when a mediocre new char is on offer for the first time in PVP, I'm looking forward to needing 1500+ for the first time Deadpool is offered.

    Held on to 5th with 1219, but spent way too many HP thanks to needing a 24hr shield.
    Sucks to be in the wrong timezone for PVP.

    Held onto 4th after a bit of hopping. Think I was in the red for the event about 150 HP, which was better than I expected. Watched the poor bastard in 6th try three times to make a push...and go backwards each time. What a **** show. Glad that's over. Let's never ever **** do it again. icon_razz.gif

    I came out HP neutral for this one at least. Was planning on 3 3-hour shields (been getting by on 2), but about 15 minutes out I got paranoid that I might get passed and did one more. Turned out to not be necessary since I would have held top 5 with my previous score.

    Didn't have as death filled a bracket as the last couple, but top 6 was tight.

    Not that 900 for top ten is a good sign, but it wasn't 1000 for top 10.

    Carol is now sitting happily at 233, and should get to 433 by the end of her pvp and the pve (assuming I can grind out that reward while trying to not play too much since I only need a black hood cover). She's not getting any ISO though, in spite of that awkward look she keeps giving me.

    At first I was pissed off that my 1100+ points wasn't enough for Top 5, but reading the last page of this topic, that just seems to be the state of PVP nowadays. I'm still annoyed, but at least now I know it isn't just me.

    My bracket had #1-#5 at 1324-1039 and #10 at 836. If it helps, I joined 12 hours after the start, when the previous PVE ended.
