What is the intended use of purple? I don't get it...
You can switch a few tiles around every time you match purple. And if it happens when the tiles are moves up, you can just continue doing it.

This might be the biggest difference between a character's usefulness in offense and defense in the entire game.

I had some extra money to spare and picked up a 10-pack. Ended up getting one of each color for ol' Devil Dinosaur.

    Also a purpleflag.png Fury and a pack of 7000 ISO-8.
  • Best build is easily 3/5/5 btw, green has better uses and 5 purple means a purple tile also moves up, which means there's a chance it could match a purple, which lets you use the skill again.

By the way cheap repeatable skills means a long time spent looking at animations during a fight. Add to that almost 20k life and this is the best counter to shield hopping we're gonna see for a while.

He's also going to make for the most frustrating games ever. Any cascade means looking at him playing around for like ten minutes, and with that much health a big cascade can easily happen before he's downed.
  • Got couple dino covers from ten pack. He is hilarious. Looks like he is dancing when I use the purple skill. icon_lol.gif

Upon reflection, I think this is it. The skill still seems useless to me, but between 19k health and a pointless animation every other turn, no one is going to want to bother fighting these.

His Purple skill intrigues me. It's not the power damage skill, but it moves the board, and a lot for cheap. If one wants to go 5 in Prehistoric Arms, then you would have to opt 5/3/5 or 3/5/5 because 4/4/5 is terrible. Stand alone 5/5/3 is the stronger build, this guy reminds me of Ragnarok should be. I personally will either go 3/5/5 or 5/5/3 depending on how this purple plays. If it's the board cascade generator I think it could be, then oh yeah, if it's just a skill to use up the purple you slowly collect, then 5/5/3. Pairing him with X-Force you would want him 3/5/5 with Fury 5/5/3.

Agreed. Really his purple can facilitate matches that weren't there before, which is a big plus. I like him, and I think his place in my roster at least is 3/5/5 to get the most out of his purple. That and the purple animation may be the best in the game.

19k Health is going to be crazy to take down. 4 red shields from Lcap. 2 WR with Sacrafice. I think we have found the new Defensive beast in the game. At least his purple is not anger. With the daily deals and progressions we are going to see Dino Devil at high level's very soon. I am not looking forward to fighting that!
  • I find it hilarious that his red & green are identical. "I don't get mad, I get bitey."

If anyone's able to build a soft-capped 5/5/0 Devil Dino, I'd be curious to see how much it **** him
  • Does his purple moves an existing tile to top left or does the top left just get replaced with the tiles? And is the order always the same?

At level 5, his purple moves the 6 color tiles in this format:
    A 6 block formation of 3 columns, 2 rows
Top row, from left to right: Black Red Green
Bottom row, from left to right: Yellow Purple Blue

It is spammable, but it consistently does jack for me. Out of 20 uses of it, only ONE has produced a match (a match 3). The purple is just god-awful, but as someone has said before, green has better uses, so 5 in purple is acceptable out of lack of better alternatives. I would personally go 5-5-3 just because the purple isn't going to do anything a vast majority of the time, but if my other 2 characters get knocked out, at least I can deal more damage with green.

I'm not even going to bother spending ISO to level him. wolvX+hood+Cmag for me, until lady thor comes out.

Devil Dino has a new health class, just slightly better than Hulk. Just sayin'.

Lets see Boost 1 to all, boost 3 to green, 3 to red. 1 match green 1 match red and you do 5k damage. Maybe add Daken for strike tiles and either BP, or Deadpool for AOE.
I don't think he is as powerfull as X-Force since X-force does a lot more damage but at 19k health he will be a pain to take down.

I had assumed that they would just go in a straight line, black-red-green-yellow-purple-blue. If they land in a block then you're not getting much at all for your two extra levels -- you're swapping six sets of tiles instead of three, but two of the tiles you swap can't possibly match with anything because the black will always be adjacent to a yellow and a red and nothing else, and the red will be next to a black, a green, a yellow and nothing else. Whereas at level 3 any of the tiles you swap could at least end up in a vertical match-3.

How badly we need skins for some characters.

I am not sure how much I would pay (but it would be a lot) to be able to put a top hat on him and have his purple move be renamed Jazz Hands.

Come on Demiurge. I do not care if you do it in MS Paint. Just let me give you HP so Devil Dino can unleash his full potential!

If you do not want it as a skin then make me a 5* version with top hat, monocle, and Jazz Hands.
  • Yes! I would also pay hard cash monies for this!
  • That's "second mortgage" material right there.

Thanks for confirming. Couldn't understand why moving 1 tile of each color would have been seen as a cascade generator.

I find it funny his red and green abilities are exactly the same. Also, as predicted AP cost went up, damage output went down, 1* Devil Dino is better than 4*.

At 350ish damage per AP he is a cheap fast bruiser with a ton of health. He'd be annoying to fight against but to fight with I think I'd still take Thor+BP over Devil Dino plus BP. Deadpool can reliably deliver the opening salvo for 6 redtile.png instead of 7. Ultimately not impressed. I want him in my roster, but he won't make my starting rotation in most events.

He could be the new king of BoP tho. Maybe.
