Ack, exploding tech is back

Same, SCL7. Maybe, it's because some of the boosted characters I used are not boosted here.

I went from 8 last time to 9 this time. It was rough but doable with my 5* daredevil.0

I moved to SCL9 this time & yeesh they're annoying. It just makes the game slower & thus more boring. Good job.0
-
I don't have good versions of the boosted characters this go-around, so I'm also finding it is taking longer. It takes me basically all 10 health packs to do the required character nodes for each sub in SCL8. I don't hate it, but i can't bring myself to go beyond the basic 4 progression clears this time around1

When the Wakanda event first released I was excited since it was a "New" event. Then I realized we were still fighting the same boring Dark Avengers as almost all the events and now with annoying Hazard tiles. Just a waste of my Health packs and Iso that I need to use for Boosts in order to finish the higher leveled nodes.0

I'm glad that this time I have a good, boosted 5*. Goblin didn't even notice the firecrackers going off around him. And a lot more of them went off this time compared to what I remember the last time.0
-
I've tried to detect a pattern but can't determine how they are added to the board. Does anyone have an idea on when they show up and why (other than to annoy us)?0
-
Honestly this first sub of FFW is my least favorite in PvE hands-down. I can say honestly that if all subs were like this one I wouldn't play the game, it just wouldn't be an enjoyable experience. Heck, PvP is less frustrating!2

He can, purely by chance of course, if RNGesus smiles on you. I'm abusing Gambit and America Chavez on the required nodes, and so far it's only happened for me once.qandols said:Will 5* Gambit overwrite the countdowns? No, he wont. Sucks, there are really no good countermeasures, are there?0 -
Any tiles that enter the board on our turn should count down at the start of our next turn, not immediately count down at the start of the AI team's turn. When they only count down on the AI team's turn, and when only the AI team can benefit from cascades caused by them counting down, they are NOT neutral.Shintok17 said:The devs allegedly made the hazard tiles "Neutral". Which is a lie since they only go off on our turn. The damage from the initial tile is done to us and the enemy, but the cascade that results in the tiles explosion only affects us.

For those that have a high level true healer, try that out. I’ve used DD in scl9 and only used 2 hps. Try and keep him in front when they explode (easier said than done)0
-
I absolutely love the first sub. Took me close to 2 hours to finish it because my main characters was killed off by Sentry's strike tile, not by the exploding tiles. Bring someone with trueheal and you are done.0

I don't mind the Exploding Tech nearly as much as the Royal Shield. Especially in the Loaner node. There should be some sort of rule that FfW can only run if there's a tile specialist in the Required characters.

Royal Shield may be the only thing that makes me consider using Eddie Brock (but it's easier just to bring Medusa and Iceman).1

Medusa and Loki actually got me through the 5* essential relatively quickly and painlessly. Just focus on black and keep flipping the protect tiles. The damage really adds up fast!JackTenrec said:Royal Shield may be the only thing that makes me consider using Eddie Brock (but it's easier just to bring Medusa and Iceman).4 -
I absolutely loved Loki on my first time through this event. This time I'm being lazy and using boosted Sandman to tank and boosted Riri to kablooie them. I've used 2 health packs, mostly because I don't really care if Sandman survives a fight. Maybe I'll pull Loki out of mothballs for clears 5 and 6...Medusa and Loki actually got me through the 5* essential relatively quickly and painlessly. I brought in 3* Captain Marvel. Her red at takes care of the problem pretty well. Still a major issue in the Loaner node, tho.

Hmm, this makes me think I'm going to experiment using Cloak and Dagger/Wasp.furbear00000 said:Medusa and Loki actually got me through the 5* essential relatively quickly and painlessly. Just focus on black and keep flipping the protect tiles. The damage really adds up fast!0 -
No that still won't help. It resolves or counts down on the AI turn. No matter what number it counts down on it will be their resolve not yours.Bzhai said:
Yea, they should make the counter randomly even or odd numbered.Shintok17 said:The devs allegedly made the hazard tiles "Neutral". Which is a lie since they only go off on our turn.
