Breaking Points Matchmaking

EDIT: also total silence on most of these issues hasn't helped.0 -

I have also faced some really surprising opponents ,sadly exclusively to my disadvantage. My W/L ratio is out of nothing worse than ever before. I do like a challenge, but that.. No.

This is definitely a bug because you are matched against the level of the last PW you played. If your Tezz is low level just bank and play all of those back to back.
We've been testing this for 2 days and it works every time.

Have people given up on using event decks? I've just faced two decks that have nothing to do with the objectives. That was kind of disheartening. Valiant try on the dev's part though.

After I finished the game - I've seen sometimes that HP of my PW goes lower from its value that was at the end of the battle.
Once my Tezz2 came to 0HP0 -
Just for an interesting point of data, roughly 70% of my matches in BP were off by more than 5 levels. That is terrible matchmaking.0

Or they do play for objectives, then change the event deck after the matches to a fully optimized deck to make sure others lose matches against them.
Do you have some evidence to suggest this doesn't actually happen?0 -
One thing I noticed is that you cannot edit a deck when you've played all your games on that node.
I'd be interested in people defining what they mean by "event decks". If the deck can attain the objectives, it's an event deck. Having powerful cards does not mean you won't attain the objectives.

I am not sure what I think about this... I really like that they are closing the low level PW exploit. But this method of closing the exploit is completely counter to their objective of making the game "more accessible" to newer and more causal players.
Also, interesting that the matchups with familiar faces like Killwind and Mercicide seem to have disappeared...

so the lvl planeswalker you face is based on the last match you just had, regardless of node, right? maybe their though process is that if you've got all lvl 30 planeswalkers, then you'll be properly matched.
so maybe this fix really is the best option. sucks for those who don't level their planeswalkers evenly though.0 -

bken1234 said:That's what it seems like -- and the people who "don't" level their PW aren't the problem -- it's the new players who "CAN'T" -- this basically sets new players up to fail -- the whole reason it was programed with +/-5 is so that each player could be matched on their level. Now new and mid level players are basically being screwed.0

As yet another point of interest: My 51 saheeli is being consistently matched against 60s in TG, so I don't think the "matches based on your last played" is even true.0
