About the 3* vaults having no change this season...
My guess is that they might be implying that no new 3* = no change.
Not that they will be rotating them anyway.

But still... Who can say for sure with the devs?

Had just champed Wasp anyway so this is cool.

And just pulled my 14th MK cover, so guess I'll have to sink ISO into him to champ him and use the cover

Nice updates; I'm just kind of disappointed that not a single 3* (Hi Spider!) got a buff this time icon_neutral.gif

The changes to both toon's look great. Ill be interested to see numbers on Wasps new health and her powers. I’m still 2 covers shy of being able to champ her but I just so happen to be 12k away from champing spider gwen which im pleased about.

Spider Gwen will be very annoying to play against. I don’t think her build will change as a preferred 5/5/3 as the stun on the purple is handy. I think the change in yellow being cheaper will just mean that it’s a web fest. The additional heal is handy.

Ive never played her with Miles but im guessing if a web tile is matched that the team heal will take effect AND miles gets ap.

All the changes look good, but Wasp’s yellow now creating special tiles on top of the other improvements is HUGE. I champed her a while back before the last week she was boosted and there were so many times I had her yellow ready to go but had to wait until I had enough black because there was nothing to “flip” (I was using her with the other boosted characters that week). Making her yellow a (cheap!) self starter is a great trade off for no strikes on black. Now she doesn’t have to be at the mercy of her partners for special tiles. Plus black stunning longer without the blue ap drain solves another pain I had when I last used her.

Still doesn’t look like she has much synergy with Antman, and that’s disappointing, but overall this finally looks a founding member of the Avengers. I’ll have to try her with 4* Cage (respec him to 3/5/5) as I’ve champed him since then. (already tried the 4* Carol + 3* Blade combo to good effect.)

    Her red is monsterous.
When Miles lays down the yellow, he creates 4 web tiles. That lowers the price of her red immediately from 12AP to 8AP. If you use his purple, he goes invisible and (at three covers) creates 2 more red tiles, so now it costs 6AP.

Unbuffed, My level 274 Gwen will do 9598 damage. For 6 red AP. Sure, it requires a bit of prep work, but if you match the web tiles, Miles will gain a red, purple and blue AP. Keep doing his yellow and Gwen can single-hit nuke a team. I seem to recall when she's boosted she does nearly 20k damage...for potentially 6 red AP.

Her biggest problem was always her heal was pants and she needed support because she created fewer web tiles than Miles, and since their colours are identical I just used Miles to generate web tiles so she could hit them. In that circumstance, Miles needed to be 5/5/3 and she was 3/5/5. But now that her yellow fortifies her webs, that's going to make her build a bit trickier.

I read that her yellow will fortify one web tile (it says "a,") so it will probably trigger on a random web tile on the board regardless of who created it. I agree in your assessment of her problems - she just wasn't good enough on her own as her purple only generated two web tiles and her yellow flat-out sucked. This will definitely make her a better partner with Miles, and give her some value on her own, IMHO.

Nice changes, anyway. So now I guess the worst power in the tier is ... what, Drax black? icon_e_smile.gif

I´ve voted for Wasp since her power kit looks kind of interesting but the execution is poor.

Here are my guesses for a makeover:

    yellowflag.png Tactical Intuition
This one needs a huge buff! When you see that 4* Cap Marvel improves friendly special tiles by 427 for 5(!) AP, Wasp´s 254 is simply ridiculous!

    blueflag.png That Buzzing Sound
That´s a decent passive. But it´s difficult to get it going since you need at least 9 blue AP. Reduce the requirement to 7 blue AP and the power will be much more useful!

    blackflag.png Wasp Sting
The damage of that ability is way to low for a 4* character. Add at least 2k damage then it´s appropriate for the AP cost. And please remove the pointless blue AP drain (or change the AP color) which makes it almost impossible to trigger her passive!
Seems like they've read my suggestions. icon_e_wink.gif

If Gwen and miles work like mrf after buff matching fortified tiles will still trigger the passives. This probably makes it possible to double dip on the same web tile for healing and AP generation. I think this is the part of the buff that isn't being talked about yet but could end up being huge.

Glad to see Gwen's Yellow get buffed, as it felt very much useless. Hopefully she becomes a 3-Star champ reward at some point, because she's pretty far down my priorities list of 4-stars to cover via bonus character and there's no other clear path to covering her.

Not happy that kate and moon knight are being removed so soon after the twelve launch. Devs really should have started this fiasco during the first days of the space gem season.

Yeah I'm pretty frustrated about this. Being in the early phases of transitioning from 3* to 4*, Moon Knight and Kate are actually one of my more covered 4* at 4 and 4 covers, respectively. The fact that I even rostered them at all to begin with hurts even more.

I said I would give this update a chance, but it keeps knocking me down. I still have a whack load of CP (1300) and LTs (22) to burn through. I gave myself until the moment I burn most or all before I make my final judgement, but this is just another notch in my row of cons.

Solid character changes. I'm not sure why they changed Wasp's black beyond removing the AP drain, but whatever. I might actually champ her next time I get a cover instead of immediately tossing it.

Web tiles aren't owned by anyone (says so right in the tooltip I believe) and don't count as friendly or enemy tiles. There aren't powers that care about Web tiles that "you" created vs that the enemy created, although it's possible that there might be an ability that only counts Web tiles of a specific color. I don't think so, though.

I have to say, though, that power is getting further and further from the flavor of a jam session (which was weird to begin with).

Yeah, exuberant rock and roll has never physically healed me, it has only caused me minor physical injury. It'd make more sense if it was treated as a morale / energy boost, and gave AP and created strike tiles.

Not to be confused with the goon power "morale boost," which also inexplicably heals physical injuries.

If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’
