Best teams for Ultron event?

decided to dust off my falcon for a wolverine node a while back (really haven't used him much). went with axwolverine, cage, falcon. man, that was easy - start with a couple of blue matches and let redwing do its thing. constantly buffed protect tiles lets you take 1-5 damage/turn all day long (depending on cascades). took forever to get the second green match but once I did, board flooded with strikes. red nuke. yellow nuke. amazingly simple. I think 5 blue and 5 yellow on falcon helped a ton though.0

update - for bomb dropper i had been using steve/cyc/mnmags. my cap is only at 1 blue though, so it was gather red or die and that was surprisingly hard to do yesterday for some reason so someone in my alliance mentioned scarlet/hawk/mnmags. my gsbw has 5 purple, so i tried scarlet/gsbw/hawkeye. really only a 3 color team, so could be dicey, but as long as scarlet's passive goes off once, the rest is pretty easy. granted I've only used it twice, but it sure seemed easy enough those times. my witch is undercovered and i only have 2 greens in gsbw, but so far so good. full avenger team that i could see teaming up against ultron in the movie too. although not the strongest characters, they work beautifully together.TxMoose wrote:decided to dust off my falcon for a wolverine node a while back (really haven't used him much). went with axwolverine, cage, falcon. man, that was easy - start with a couple of blue matches and let redwing do its thing. constantly buffed protect tiles lets you take 1-5 damage/turn all day long (depending on cascades). took forever to get the second green match but once I did, board flooded with strikes. red nuke. yellow nuke. amazingly simple. I've had good luck in all three Ultron events with 2*Cap/IM40/KK for the bomb drop (my 3*'s aren't well covered--2/2/2 & 2/3/2, respectively, but that's been enough to be consistent--last time, my IM40 was only 1/0/1, but that was enough for red generation) and Hulk/essential/2*Thor for the sentry nodes (my Hulk is 5/4/4--5/3/3 last time the event was run, if I'm not mistaken). Once bombs can one-hit my roster, I'll probably shift from KK to GSBW, but at the rate my extremely casual alliance is clearing Ultron, that may not be an issue. I like how KK's heal undoes some of the cascade damage and her cheaper green damage is more useful at the moment. Some day, I hope my 3*Cap will be able to take the reins (at Level 66 with two red covers, he already would out-damage a maxed 2*Cap), but at the moment he's far from ready for that (0/0/3).
I'm still using a lot of 3*'s, but with how under-covered they are, hopefully this is useful to some of the other early transitioners.0
