I was thinking merging two 5* would give a 6* with 3 to 6 covers of the 6*, depending on the number of covers on the second 5*. And then for every cover adds 10 shards to the 600 total shards need to add a 6* cover.

You all are crazy if you think you’ll be able to ascend 5s.

Let’s say you spend $40 on 2 1-5 Spideys. Do you really think they want you running that bad boy with 6* match dmg and his purple with may?

Vs spending years or thousands of dollars to build Cosmic Spidey?

Cosmic Spidey takes forever and costs money now. It won't be that way forever. I don't expect to be able to ascend 5* anytime soon, but never is a very long time (oh wait, I forgot, the game is closing next week! we might as well all just quit now!)

I've actually never used him! 1a5 Hawkeye and Black Widow basically blo everyone else out of the water.

He's really good!

Purple is easy to cast off supports, does damage and generates a lot of AP. If it happens to go off on purple you can chain it forever and just kill everybody.

His red and blue are ok too. Blue seems to either do a ton of damage or none, and I can never quite figure out why.

He also has a secret passive that makes very strong strike tiles.

The only thing they have to sell us now is 6s. I don't see them adding 7s - although, maybe 10 years from now.

Right now they are rigorously controlling the pace you can get 6s at and add levels. Maybe they open that up a bit after a while longer for older ones, or maybe not. Maybe it takes 5 years.

If they allow you to take your 1-5 spidey to a 6 - how do they control adding levels to it? you can farm 1s from PVP to like 230 matches per pvp. They can't introduce specific 6* version shards....probably. Not easily.

IMO they prefer to control the 6* tier vs opening up turning characters you can just swap covers for, open tokens for etc into 6s. It would also destroy the uniqueness of those characters as a tier. And no one would be spending $50 on a bundle of sub-6 characters and even 200 shards for Cosmic Giant Man when you can just be running your level 700 1-6 spidey you built for free.

But of course, if things go another 5 years, maybe. Just definitely not for a long time. Before they do anything with ascension they need to decide to allow champing of 6s, probably.

TLDR don't expect to ascend any character into the 6* tier for at least 2 more years minimum.

I think 2 years is probably more realistic, but I definitely don't expect it anytime soon! They'll have to allow us to champion 6* eventually.

But I'll still be here in 2 years, and I don't want to be kicking myself for selling dupes, like I did when ascension first showed up.
