I do wish we could get some examples of other free to play phone games that are "respectful" of their players. Like, does Candy Crush treat its veteran players with respect? Genshin Impact? Fortnite?

It's hard to know what respect means in this context and how it's expressed by game developers.

FTP epic games are actually very well managed. I've only played fortnite and Rocket League. but I can say there battlepass is more or less free after you purchase the first season. (i.e. the IAP from the pass is more than enough to buy the next season.)

They do a good job of rotating weapons and map layouts. The collabs in Fortnite are exceptional. I.e. usually a custom map with different weekly objectives. Its much more comprehensive than just Chibifying chars.

Even if you arent a high level / Comp level skill in shooters, its a good/friendly experience to explore all the new maps each season.

I guess I don't get how that translates to respect, or what it means for a developer to "respect" players.

It's also worth noting that Epic has billions of dollars in revenue (so somebody is paying them for stuff!) and thousands of employees. I'm not sure if MPQ has ever had more than 5 or so full time employees on it.

They're based in the US, so I wouldn't expect anybody to be in the office for a few more hours.

I would assume we get a boss from Thursday on and are back to normal pve next Monday, following the 1 week postpone post on Discord and the fact they have to get into things first
God knows what BCS left behind, maybe glued locks and a dead fish in the AC…

    Yeap you are right!
I though that they would leave it (PVE) scheduled for deploy... 😅

But it's nice... this disconnection it makes us all think 🤔 a bit more in the gaming and time that we put into it.

The publisher is 505go, located in California.

The new developer is Infinity Plus 2, located in St Kilda Australia near Melbourne. Their first workday of 2026 ended about 6 hours before slice 1 was supposed to start assuming they end at 5 pm.

Hence they had a full day of work and didn’t get a new pve up.

Who knows if their second day will be more successful but maybe we will see one before sub 1 ends, around slice 4 start time.

Odds are 50/50 no PvE starts until Thursday. Who knows?

OK, so why no DDQ? That has been on autopilot. It could have been set up. They have gone on vacations before over PVE changeover and with DDQ.

Wow! It seems I hit a nerve with you. But good points all and thanks for pointing them out and covering down on the devs. Are you getting some sort of kick backs for this? Not being a smart ****, genuinely asking. However, my opinions are valid, as are yours, and I’ve seen nothing but a watering down of the game. The whole “they’re just punching a clock” doesn’t wash with me. I mean what could be easier than running a longstanding game with a loyal fan base and how can you F that up. Of course they deserve a vacation but this is the computer age and things can be preprogrammed as to not alienate your players. You expect me to believe they’re putting in endless hours on this. The evidence shows otherwise. But as someone pointed out, and very astutely, I’m just a username to them and of course shouldn’t expect these Gods to waste time with a single customer. I mean, what would ensue? quality, a seamless experience, perhaps changing some of the challenges so we all aren’t grinding the same nonsense every day? What chaos would come from that? And how dare I voice an opinion and speak my mind! But in the end, I concede your point, they don’t care and are only interested in money, not players or quality of experience. I think that’s obvious and it didn’t use to be like this. But continue praying at the Altar of the Dev, maybe they’ll give you a pat on the head.

If you’re asking if what they did is acceptable….no. But the ddq event is probably set up for an entire cycle of 161 or so crashes all at once, with new 4 star characters being inserted as needed into the "run crashes in alphabetical order by sub name" order. The 3s are just the same until/unless a new one is added. IDK if they change up the Behemoth Burrito very often if at all with new 4s.

So they probably set that up a while ago and it could run for like 3 years - besides not adding in new 4s- as is.

I see a DDQ for today. Did it just show up now or is it a platform-dependent thing again?

Not trying to be a smart*** myself, but some breaks between paragraphs would make this much more readable.

I'm confused. Is "needs paragraph breaks" a valid opinion? It says here that all opinions are valid, but your opinion seems to be invalidating the other guy's opinion that paragraph breaks aren't necessary.

...oh no, I think I just expressed an opinion about this! Is my opinion valid? This is all really difficult to figure out.
