I am not sure we’ll get an answer before he’s in game but is his red passive really doing nothing unless Thunderbolt allies tank his own strong colors?

Like if they match blue/purple/green he does nothing?

So, don’t level him very high I guess?

Can you send this guy back into QA for another pass?

Looks pretty awful, like...he should've been the 2 and hellcow could've been the 5. Far too much of his kit relies on having allied thunderbolts, but there are few TB in the game and most never see play.

    • 1* yelena/juggs/widow are great if ascended to 5.
    • Bullseye, winter soldier, hawkeye, iron fist, luke cage, punisher, rhino, abomination trash.
    • Electro is ok but people only use her when going up against juggs/OR, maaaaaybe when boosted. Green Goblin maybe when boosted

Purple - Half as strong as 3namor while being 1000x more difficult to use. You have to hobble your team with a TB to even get that. Without a TB it's laughably bad, with the damage of a 2*, maaaaybe 3.

Red - Low damage, 1 extra ap? Very very bad, and worse than garbage without thunderbolts on the team

Yellow - 9ap to get rid of 0-3 SAP tiles...I don't know what's sadder, that it's stupidly expensive for a horrible power, or that this is his BEST power. It should be way cheaper and be able to replace any tile. Maybe repeaters?

I wasn't a big fan of gorgon but I thought he was still fine. Bucky is easily bottom 3 alongside gwenom and peggy. I'd say peggy's better because she can at least DO stuff.

I know it's already pretty late but any way to completely scrap everything about him? Give him the powers of whatever the next 5* is and then work on that one?

Honestly, he would've been much better as a support. His red power could have a limit on how many times a match it triggers, maybe ~7

His purple could either have a limit or be lower damage and be in effect the whole game. Kind of a mix of eros' targeting and the various supports that throw out CDs.

Yellow would also translate well to a support. Maybe replace an enemy SAP when they fire a power? Or when you down an enemy it could replace a few or something.

Would be easy to work in decent effects and some thunderbolts synergy.

It kind of reads like they intentionally wanted him to be bad? Hopefully he will trigger all of his own affiliation passives also and some how sneakily do more damage, but to block that damage from getting the passive and strike tile buffs??? Like, you know what Jugger4 and all other tick damage characters can currently do, right?

Fingers crossed for the sneakiness, but at first glance looks to be the worst we've seen in quite some time.

They had the thunderbolts movie... Which has sentry/Void, a character that's been laughably represented in this game so far

And they make a copy-paste model of Winter Soldier with some of the worst powers known to man.

    Do better D3.

Don't blame D3. Marvel dictates the characters that get added into the game. D3 has very little say in it.

Marvel say "who enters", D3 makes up said character and it's abilities

And I agree, one of the worst releases so far

I suspect he counts for the passive. So if he tanks, or another T-Bolt.

The wording on it is unclear (shock!) but it says "Thunderbolt ally." So who knows!

Also lol at Sentry being weak in MPQ, somebody hasn't been around long enough to remember the total disaster that was the Sentry Bomb metagame.

I know, right? He's actually pretty decent right now, point of fact I specifically keep him around as a 3* so I can clear the DDQ node more quickly. His yellow is pretty good (his green is beyond bad, but whatever.)

Yes, but they were complaining about it not being void/sentry, which is a decision that would have been made by Marvel.

Wow. Just wow. Yes, I know our history is to look at character releases and generally hate them until we try them in action. But this is a historically bad character. Needing Thunderbolt allies and then, even if you have them, pretty weak powers. Yuck.

Isn't there a typical 1v1 in the intro event for 5*? Please don't put a match damage mitigator as the opponent.

    I'm reserving judgement.

    It's painful!

But remember: their descriptions are awful, and sometimes characters in game end up doing things in ways that don't even line up with the descriptions. Also sometimes they make changes immediately.
