IF he counts as an ally for the red passive and you match red with him as a 450 you're doing almost 10K in total match dmg plus the bonus hit on the Primary Target.

I mean...nothing special in terms of everything is passive etc and I wish he could hit invisible characters, lol. But at least he has an AOE.....

He could be meh, not terrible.

How are you getting that number?

    Base Red: 891x3=2673
Red Passive @ 5 covers (Red Match): 3847
    = 6520 match damage

    Purple Passive @ 5 covers: 2673*.65=1738
    1738 damage to Primary Target

So even if Primary target = front character you are only getting 8258 total.

Guessing 4 star Bucky or 4 star worthy cap feeds him. Anyway at least I will have a chance at champ rewards tomorrow compared to Howard

A bit too Thunderbolt weighted, if at least Red Hulk feeds him, that would be a nice partner when ascended

Edit: Yeah, forget it, Red Hulk doesn‘t have the tag…

Isn't there a typical 1v1 in the intro event for 5*? Please don't put a match damage mitigator as the opponent.

Intro events are only for new 4s, not 5s.

Well I’m a dope and used the purple match dmg. Sorry.

    Sad Bucky.

Agree with consensus, he doesn't look impressive and probably bottom tier unless there he works differently than we think somehow.

    Movie is good.

So Winter Soldier will feed Winter Soldier and Captain America will move to Red Hulk or an upcoming U.S.Agent.

Just as an aside, the way you want to design these characters with forced synergy is to make them good in all situations but super awesome when paired with their lore teammates/affiliation/whatever -- especially for guys who partner with one particular character, or where the affiliation is pretty small.

They almost always get this wrong and I'm not sure why. The original Civil War guys were both abysmal unless they had a full team of their affiliation. Other characters like Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Phylla Vell, have miniscule synergy bonuses that never really matter.

    Lol excellent autocorrect typo there

Cap Infinity War is already fed by Worthy Cap as well as Winter Solider (both primary) so he can stay with Worthy if WS feeds WS.

    Stick him with 1a5 Jugg.
    Use headbutt.

Otherwise looks pretty bad. Don't want to make a team of Thunderbolts.

Also the passive on red: (this damage is unaffected by Strike and Protect tiles, and other damage modifiers)

Looks like they learned their lesson with the boosters.

Or it’s a balance choice. You can hit full dmg even vs pol/brb, but no boosting of it.

Also any Tbolt gets the boost. You could use him with 1 Yelena and get extra dmg if the enemy matches the traps.

I just noticed his purple would do nothing if you had no other Thunderbolts which would be incredibly stupid and all his powers are worded similarly so I think they will count him as 1.

Edit to add also his yellow wouldn't do anything if it didn't count him.

Nice, the pre-nerfed him to be safe.

Ugh - team mate requirement, didn't they learn this never works out well? Bucky has exactly 3 powers - bionic arm, gun, scowl and he doesn't need anybody else to use them.

They are really just going with the obvious ones as releases for these films this year it seems although I suppose we could get a 4* USAgent or something.

So apart from red guardian none of the actual cast of characters are thunderbolts
    Amazing
Also where is the power budget? Which power overpowers the other 2? Why are all 5 star characters so weak now?
Professor...would you say now is the perfect time to panic?
    Yes I would Kent

I get quite a chuckle from your posts (in a good way) but you have something serious buried in this one. I would love for them to explain this mysterious "power budget". It seems to be the default answer for way characters are they way they are but that makes no sense as some are so overly powerful and others are fairly DOA. Maybe the new Unity Engine will help us make sense of power budget?

This may be a known change, but I'm not sure where in the ascended threads to find it...

I have about 9 4s ascended to 5, and they all have similar nice rewards at levels 451-460ish, latest legends, 5000 iso, 25cp, 250hp, etc.

My 4to5 Winter Soldier, however, got a rather wild set of rewards. Mine is at 451 and so I got 1800 Infinity War Cap shards this morning. His 452-459 rewards are all shards and covers for either Cap or this new 5* Bucky. (Sadly, he's still at 451, so this is the first new 5* in absolutely ages that I didn't get shards for the newest five star character.) None of my other ascended 5*s have a reward package like this, so I have never seen it before. Has this happened to any other characters?

I feel a little bittersweet because I burned all my cp in a failed attempt to get even one red iso bundle from the Cosmic Legends vault (I got 32 of 40, missed all three!), didn't get any new 5* Bucky rewards this morning, and only have a week to build up some cp to try his store. Haven't had a challenge like this in a while.
