Her purple hits HARD when the protects are buffed. I really like her with Dark Beast and 5* Kitty.

Yes I'm thinking to run with HagAtha and kitty

If any one has Vampire Jubilee at 5, I highly recommend her with Beast and Betsy, cart on Betsy. Endlessly throwing Vampire red is quite nice, very strong and will see she keeps full health. It's fun actually being able to bite more than 1 person also.

I got so many champ rewards that I was able to get all 3 of her abilities rostered so I could do her activate her 3 abilities 20 times in PVE which is much easier than the pain in the **** that PVP has become

Jesus even not maxed her yellow and purple are insane strong. Been using her against bill Lorna Thor using ascended Shaw and HagAtha and she is wiping them out with her purple and yellow no problem

I like the team synergy with Excalibur coming in to play, but I’d like to see a few more characters get the Excalibur tag:

Colossus (Excalibur #92, two issues after Wolfsbane)
Juggernaut (New Excalibur #1, the same time as Dazzler)
Apocalypse (Krakoa Excalibur #1, along with Rogue, Gambit and Jubilee)

How oh how, does the yellow passive power work???:

"....up to the number of Mutants on your team" .....huh???

I have tried her together with two mutants, but alas, only 1 protect tile appears without any buffs whatsoever. I just dont understand the purpose of this description.

It's one per turn up to the number of mutants

I still dont get it. If I only use mutants then it still only 1 per turn? Should it not be 3 then?

If you have three mutants, then once per turn, she will create a single protect tile until there are three in play then she stops. If one gets destroyed she'll create another to get the total back to three.

Totally agree with your write up, she’s a bit of a beast and works well, even undercovered.
Kitty is indeed a strong partner (as also Excalibur) and buffing those protect tiles for Betsy’s purple.

I was wondering if the right positioning of Betsy and Rogue would mean Rogue would prioritise jumping in front and trigger Betsy’s yellow damage? Havn't successfully tested this yet. If anyone can confirm that would be awesome.

She works really well with 5 star storm also, as can quickly grant sufficient AP to enable storm’s abilities, all of which help trigger cascades.

NB/ I should also add that not only does the AP gain from her red stack, the bonus to match damage stacks and is compounding!!
E.g. base damage 3000 (and for simplicity of maths assuming it boosts next match damage by 100%)
    1 red use > 6000,
    2 red use > 12,000,
    3 red uses > 24,000
It gets out of control pretty quickly!

Speaking for myself, I'd be very happy with a 5* Nightcrawler. He's my favorite character, but all those would be good too.

Betsy is mine so I always wanted a 5* version either in Captain Britain form or an x-force form. I'll have to hold out hope for a 5* Lady Mandarin it seems

I love this character. She's one cover away from Max but she is already nuking enemy teams in one sho with her purple.

I've been using: Shaw, Colossus Phoenix or Rogue paired with Betsy and then either HaAgatha (ascended 5*) or Kitty.

Agatha works better against the Jane teams because Polaris triggers HagAthas yellow every turn. Buff the tiles up whilst tanking and Betsy can nuke the whole team with purple.

The yellow is also so strong against Cascades if you can protect it long enough to fire or save up enough yellow to use it twice which is helped using Betsy red.

If she can survive a few initial hits against an Omega team once ascended, then I think she's a potentially a great counter.

It’s surprising that they’ve managed to nail a unique feeling character when there are so many powers already in the game.
Definitely the best/most interesting character they’ve released in some considerable time!
    Nice work BCS :)

I’m not for Gambit being required but he IS in Excalibur, and she feeds him.

It’s high time for a rebalance for him. At least remove the stupid power lockout. That and a bump to modern match dmg and health, and he’d be a solid midtier toon.

He got that match damage/health fix. They also updated his damage numbers...I think it happened this year.

Anyone else notice the 1v1 node where you play her in Shield Training looks bugged? She's supposed to be L220 or something and if you look pre-battle the match damage numbers look fine. But once you start the battle her primary damage colors are like 300-500 as if those are boosted into the L460 range or higher but the non-primary are normal.

Normally I would not notice but I was replaying this node to complete her quests and wondering why I was match damaging Elsa to death in a handful of turns so it make it harder to fire everything 20 times.

Can't be. On turn 1 I have 0 AP so it does nothing. Later as I acquire AP I see her match damage increase even more (then decrease when I fire powers). So the Red passive works fine, it's just the base damage is bugged to a very high level.

Note that in the reverse 1v1 battle where you face her with a single 4 star from your roster her base match damage is the expected 70-85 range.
