I am curious why her yellow power unlocks any Raised Shield tiles, other than making sure that if they're locked by an enemy using her power will trigger them. However, since they are only made with 8 yellow ap, you're probably only making one at a time, and it's kind of unlikely you'd every get enough yellow to trigger one before it counted down on its own.

    But....it could happen.

Assuming the text is correct, it only cost 5ap at 5 covers and you probably would want to trigger it early to cash in on any prior enemy cascades etc. (since it won't do any damage until count completed or recast).

She looks fun in concept, but it's in interesting choice given some similarities to Agatha3. If only some colors were different and she started with that a protect tile, we might have had a decent O'Red counter (coincidence yella cost 5, exactly what Electro would give you to slap him real good for hitting your team).

I look forward to taking this one to the lab. @entrailbucket I expect the 5star version in 2 weeks flat, so we can see for sure.

I'm not sure the Yellow is going to have much use at all. The text says she jumps in front whenever an ally would take damage (that's straightforward). So that means she's going to be eating all the match / single target damage while the CD is out. BUT, to get this part "Countdown tile that deals damage equal to the total strength of friendly Protect Tiles for each hit allies take while this tile is on the board", your allies need to take damage. How can they do that if she's jumping in front? They can't other than from AOEs, so the damage component may only be useful against characters like OR.

Maybe she counts herself as an ally. If yes, enemies that like to rely on cascades and passives like mthor polaris nonsense will rack up the hit counter very quickly over 3 rounds.

m'Thor will eat the CD tile immediately though...

Not if you bring the new Cable and keep matching yellow!
I think you're still better off with Shaw, Chasm or Darkveil for stopping MThor though.

I'd like Captain Britain's power a LOT more if it went from 8 AP to 9 and fortified the CD tile.

I hate unfortified CD tiles -- these powers just end up being "8AP: do nothing" so much of the time.

My memory is terrible, wasn't Captain Britain in a recent player choice poll? Is this the winner of the poll?

If memory serves correct, it was Captain Avalon (Brian Braddock) that was the option for the character poll. The confusion stems from Brian Braddock being the OG Captain Britain.

It will be strange if he does end up winning the player choice character poll to have both him and his sister's Captain Britain as 4* characters.

I know this is a question that gets asked every time, but I can't find the answer at the moment. What is the normal calculation for retro rewards for ascended characters?
3* Psylocke now gives Captain Britain, 3* Daken now gives Colleen Wing, and I received those, but what are 3a4 and 3a5 versions supposed to give?

I don't know what they're supposed to give but the 3a4 versions are giving a full cover at Level 271, 800 shards at Level 272; and another full cover at Level 276.

I only have ascended versions of these two but normally for base 3* you get a total of 1 cover and 800 shards for the primary fed 4*. I don't have 3a5 versions so I can't answer that part of your question. Also not sure how long the retro rewards will remain in place for as this seems to vary.

    1. Does one truly “hold” a psychic sword? Does it weigh anything? Maybe the art is representing that it’s not physically there?

It was the same with her psychic knife...how do you stab somebody with something that doesn't exist? She isn't a telekinetic, it never made any sense no matter how much her totality got focused. Basically it is just her punching you.

Her (Betsy/Kwannon/Psylocke) psychic knife was out of the back of her hand (like Wolverine's claws) so in this case maybe it's just true to character?

But I mean it wasn't really was it because her psychic powers were in her brain not her hand, whereas Wolverine has actual real knifes with which to do the stabby. I am not an expert on superpowers, I will admit but I reckon if you chopped her hand off it wouldn't do a lot to stop her being telepathic.

Most of the X-Men's psychic characters have the ability to create psychic constructs.

These weapons or objects can be telepathic, affecting only the opponent's mind, or telekinetic, affecting only the body.

More experienced users can create constructs of pure psychic energy.

Betsy Braddock is the best known for her constructs, being the literal "Green Lantern" of the X-Men, having created numerous constructs throughout her life.

Other examples of characters who create constructs: Mirage (Danielle Moonstar), Quentin Quire (Kid Omega), Kwannon (Psylocke), etc.

I am well aware this forum is eager for my opinion when something new hits the game
I have no idea what she does, or when she's doing it or if I need to make her do it to do something else that's actually good

How oh how, does the yellow passive power work???:

"....up to the number of Mutants on your team" .....huh???

I have tried her together with two mutants, but alas, only 1 protect tile appears without any buffs whatsoever. I just dont understand the purpose of this description.

It's one per turn up to the number of mutants
