I am curious why her yellow power unlocks any Raised Shield tiles, other than making sure that if they're locked by an enemy using her power will trigger them. However, since they are only made with 8 yellow ap, you're probably only making one at a time, and it's kind of unlikely you'd every get enough yellow to trigger one before it counted down on its own.

    But....it could happen.

Or it could be activated by Purple Soul Stone for 0AP...

Protect tile combo character with a match damage bonus -- she might be ok at 5*. The jump in front power being tied to an unfortified CD tile is really unfortunate, but I guess you weren't using her against m'Thor anyway (she would eat all your protect tiles immediately).

I am unsure how she can get a 6 color boost from her "strongest colors" since that by definition is only 3 colors.

Also I assume the yellow must be 1 AP less at each level, so 4 AP at 5 covers. Otherwise that reduction doesn't matter at all since all champed characters will be at least 3 covers in the move so a single point decrease total would be weird. In general though i am a big fan of damage boost 4s for ascension targets.

That Yellow has a chance to be absolutely ridiculous if i am reading it right. Against a team move damage team or against a heavy cascade you could hit it like 20 times and get triple boosted via the first passive and the last passive plus whoever else you bring with you to externally boost it as well.

Level 4 of yellow doesn't show the AP reduction so I assume it costs 5AP at level 5

My memory is terrible, wasn't Captain Britain in a recent player choice poll? Is this the winner of the poll?

Assuming the text is correct, it only cost 5ap at 5 covers and you probably would want to trigger it early to cash in on any prior enemy cascades etc. (since it won't do any damage until count completed or recast).

She looks fun in concept, but it's in interesting choice given some similarities to Agatha3. If only some colors were different and she started with that a protect tile, we might have had a decent O'Red counter (coincidence yella cost 5, exactly what Electro would give you to slap him real good for hitting your team).

I look forward to taking this one to the lab. @entrailbucket I expect the 5star version in 2 weeks flat, so we can see for sure.

She might actually pair well with ascended Shaw... That would further shut down Thor while also reaping the benefit of her red match damage boost, combined with Shaw's you get some nice match 3 boom boom (he's also a mutant).

The "sword" clipping through her hand in every picture is kinda bothering me though. Is there some sort of lore that says that sword is actually just attached to her thumb, and she's not actually wrapping her hand around a handle?

Kinda? That’s just horrible art work. Come on Devs, you can do better.

    "As the new Captain Britain..."

It's still weird when they give us the "new" version before we get the original.

100%. Nothing against Betsy but she is already in-game and already had her own unique presence in the Marvel Universe, so this is a bit disappointing but I guess there must be a reason this version is being pushed here.

Wellll…the current in-game Psylocke we have is Kwannon. Unless you go by the original intention for the character, which is that Betsy Braddock was kidnapped by the Hand and had her body transformed from that of a European to an Asian. Unless you go by the retconned version where Betsy’s and Kwannon’s minds/essences whatever were mixed and Betsy’s mind was in Kwannon’s body.

    It’s all rather confusing.

Agreed, 100% on another confusing X-Men mess.

I think her character bio does seem to reference her as Betsy Braddock and the cover is "Sword of the Braddocks" so I'm gonna say she is Betsy and Chris Claremont can suck it for starting all of this nonsense in the first place! Focused Totality, my a***!

Really, really nice 4*, probably the best one since black king

wish she also had "on battle start, make herself and allies immune to stun until you make a match", that would actually be enough to make her break the stalemate known as OR+imay+chasm in pvp sim

    1. Does one truly “hold” a psychic sword? Does it weigh anything? Maybe the art is representing that it’s not physically there?
    2. I stand corrected on the ap costs
    3. I assume we got this Captain Britain because Marvel in general requires that the ingame version is the current one, when only one is being released. And Brian ain’t it.

I’m not convinced she’s important as far as ingame abilities but she seems fine.

Basically what I expect at this point as we’re at 364 characters with her.

It was the same with her psychic knife...how do you stab somebody with something that doesn't exist? She isn't a telekinetic, it never made any sense no matter how much her totality got focused. Basically it is just her punching you.

Her (Betsy/Kwannon/Psylocke) psychic knife was out of the back of her hand (like Wolverine's claws) so in this case maybe it's just true to character?

Perhaps Betsy (in Asian psylocke form) has used her meta-ability ‘bewilder’, as we’re all super confused about what the hell is going on, who she is, and why Marvel has instructed Brian to “get in the van”, never to be seen again.

But I mean it wasn't really was it because her psychic powers were in her brain not her hand, whereas Wolverine has actual real knifes with which to do the stabby. I am not an expert on superpowers, I will admit but I reckon if you chopped her hand off it wouldn't do a lot to stop her being telepathic.
