    Mine too.

@S0kun - The description of his passive on the Purple reads one thing in the L1 main description (up to 105% of his own) and a different thing on the L2-5 descriptions (by X%).

Is he increasing match damage by X% on those 3 colors regardless of what you current match damage is on those colors (so if you are at 1000 and the boost is 135% do you go to 1350). OR, is he setting your match damage on those 3 colors to X% of his own (so if his was 100 and it was 135% he'd set allies match damage to 135 so they tanked over him). If it's the latter (which I think it is), if your match damage is already greater than that (say it was 1000) would you get any more boost or would it stay at 1000?

As mentioned in the other thread (in case no one reads it or missed it):
    1) his CDs and repeaters all come on Purple tiles so potentially 4 star Gamora's insta-kill will be in play when you use him
    2) His Black repeaters (esp at L5 when he gets up to 10) will make a nasty clap back to MThor when she destroys the repeaters since it ticks them down by 1 per destroyed. So if she destroys 2, the other 8 will hit her for damage (2k per repeater at L370) and then respawn so she could trigger that clap back multiple times when she's spamming powers.

I think he's pretty good no matter what, but like I said, the swing on the match damage power is crazy.

If he doubles everyone's match damage he's insane.

If he sets everyone to 4* match damage he is very, very bad.

If it's somewhere in the middle he will probably still be good, depending which version of "in the middle" it is.

Killgrave may be the first MPQ character to gain "control" of an opponent, even though he really doesn't. The enemy does that for you by making matches on Purple Man's behalf, and since Killgrave has a shield in the way of a stunned teammate, it's more akin to hitting a minion than hitting a defected teammate.

I would like to see that one day, a character who has the ability to steal and use an enemy teammate against them, abilities and all. Is there a Marvel character with that kind of power? I'll include heroes/villains with the power of necromancy as a possible answer.

One thing's for certain: Killgrave may have to be prioritized. He might be right there with Polaris as a major threat.

Characters not in the game that come to mind:

    Sauron, Mesmero - hypnotic coercion
The Controller - technological control discs
The Voice - mind control by spoken command
Malice (of the Marauders), Karma, Shadow King, Cuckoo (Clan Destine - OK this one is super obscure) - psychic possession
The Brood, Dire Wraiths - physical implantation/usurping of form
Space Phantom - replacement of physical form

Then you have the Super Adaptoid and Absorbing Man who whilst not stealing characters can duplicate abilities.

Malice (of the Marauders), Karma, Shadow King, Cuckoo (Clan Destine - OK this one is super obscure) - psychic possession

Three out of four here being Chris Claremont characters is somehow unsurprising….

Same as above. Passive match damage alteration needs explaining. It could be that he:

    1) adds x% of his match DMG to Allie's already existing match DMG
    2) increases allies match DMG by x%
    3) alters allies match DMG to be x% of his match DMG

Obviously only on the proper colors. But still... a little help here?

Pretty sure it will be increase by X% of his own, so additive on top of already existing match damage

That's how it read to me, too. But it's also confusing enough where I could be wrong.

So, if you have a character who does 1000 match DMG making the match, it'd be 1000+135% his and it'll register as one hit.

I'm a bit concerned about the latter part of this:

(PASSIVE) Increase the Purple, Blue, and Black match strength of the Purple Man’s teammates up to 105.0% of his own. Whenever he would be damaged by a match or ability, move an ally to the front.

So, does that mean the ally takes the damage instead of him, or are they moved after? In general, when being "targeted" the former is what usually happens. Does he duck out of AoEs as well, like Moondragon? If so, he's going to be miserable to fight against with his "make powers cost more AP" power.

My read is you can't target him for damage, but he probably shouldn't duck out of AoEs or "random" damage -- though they may still move an ally to the front, he won't avoid the damage. Still, it's very annoying coupled with his other powers.

    Thanks IceIX.

That's how I read it. He essentially makes sure he tanks no colors by boosting team mates in his primary colors to higher values if they are less than his. Otherwise he does nothing.

So will need him to be ascended for that part to have any value in 5 star land. In 4 star land he might be fun with 4 star Juggs since he'd boost 2 colors (purple/black) for Juggs giving him 5 strong colors for Juggs match damage boost to further boost.

    Thanks for the explanation!

Anybody expecting that match damage power to do something useful -- time to reevaluate!

I think he's still pretty good.

So if you brought 14 purple ap, and with supports and ap boosts you can, you could stun/control 2 enemies and let the 3rd enemy down their teammates.

Yes, but it only last 4 turns so how much match damage can be done to them in that time by the remaining 3rd enemy?

I suspect there are far better uses for 14 purple AP (you could outright win a match with Whales for example or use in conjunction with Aunt May and potentially down all 3 on turn 0).

Well, that seems to pretty much destroy the match damage mechanic of the character. Maybe he's still useful at the 4* level, but it's difficult to imagine an ascended version making any kind of dent.
